@InterceptorAlpha Sorry to hear that. While it wasn’t a high quality game I still enjoyed my time with it. Can definitely see the framework for a good game that got screwed up with co-op nonsense.
It’s a very good game, but doesn’t get into “great” territory for me. I think if you’re a Bethesda super fan it likely meets the hype but otherwise, no.
I enjoyed Cyberpunk much more. The story and characters were so much better than Starfield.
Starfield obviously has the edge in terms of exploration and freedom but that’s not what makes a game good for me so it’s quite a bit behind Cyberpunk.
@Pichuka97 I have leaned more into digital buys the last year or two but I’m not a fan of no choice, which seems where we are heading. My initial thought is that I’ll probably just buy less games.
@LordFunkalot I agree. My controller that came with the console has some of that “trigger fatigue”. One I purchased after launch seems higher quality and has no issues so far.
@Darylb88 You’re 100% right. I think I’m just more annoyed than I normally would be since it’s two years later. I never hang onto a disc for two years.
@J_Mo_Money I don’t disagree at all. I traded my copy in over a year ago so now in need to get another copy to play the DLC, which is lame since it’s standalone.
@norwichred If you go to the game on the store, there is a free trial option.
I’ve played about 30 minutes so far and it certainly scratches the itch for arcade racing. Obviously they are really going after the FH feel and I’m here for it. I’ll be playing this through Ubisoft+ for sure.
Just finished the main story, also completed all of the main faction side stuff. I didn’t do anything with ship building or outposts, but did so some random side quests along the way.
There were large chunks of time where I was having a lot of fun and could understand the addiction people speak of. There were other times where I was very annoyed with things like large amounts of loading screens, bad stealth mission, a ridiculous space fight and individual system hopping to get to my objective.
Overall the game is quite good but not in the elite level of games for me. I’d rate it 7.75.
I’m 24 hours in now, about 3/4 done with main story and have completed two of the faction storylines. The story just got quite confusing for me so I don’t know how I feel about that.
Overall it’s a good game, I’d say 7.75, but not quite on the same level as some of my favorites. Probably the 6th best game I’ve played this year (D4, SW JS, Chained Echoes, Hogwarts and FF16).
Just too many things I find annoying for me to give it a higher score. Glad it seems the majority of people are enjoying it.
@HonestHick Thank you. I’m curious what the 1000% is based on, timeframe wise. If it’s for the month they’re going to have sold millions of consoles in august.
@Shigurui Thanks. I had see. The play tracker thing on Twitter and they mentioned they use machine learning to estimate numbers so it’s not always accurate.
@Darylb88 It’s a lot easier to play when it costs $0, right? It is a good achievement, I just think lumping in people not paying for a game with games that don’t have that option isn’t exactly apples to apples. I am in no way trying to say anything bad about the game. I’m enjoying it.
@AlwaysPlaying It absolutely skews the numbers when we are comparing it to games that can only be bought at full price.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner I guess it sort of is? I just find it annoying that I have to go to menu, press down, chart course to objective, land in new system, repeat process to land on planet, load when going in some doors.

Re: Alan Wake 2 Dev Working Towards 'Full Fix' For Audio Issues On Xbox Series X|S
The lip sync issue in cutscenes is quite annoying. The lip sync in actual gameplay is fine. So odd.
Re: Blizzard On The Possibility Of WoW On Xbox: 'We Are Microsoft Now'
I certainly would play this day one on console if they make it happen. My days of keeping up with a PC are done so this my WoW days as well.
Re: Sony Exec Describes Game Pass And PS Plus As 'Very Different' Offerings
GamePass is so far ahead of PS+. Far more games I play on GamePass than on PS+.
With the new price for PS+ the value just isn’t there for me anymore. I’m annoyed that to play online I’ll have to have at least the $70 tier.
Re: Microsoft Reshuffle Makes Huge Changes To Team Xbox, Matt Booty & Sarah Bond Promoted
I hope this means more eyes of all studios and they don’t get free rein so we avoid Redfall like issues.
Re: Alan Wake 2 Dev Reassures 'Worried' Fans About Xbox & PS5 Versions
@InterceptorAlpha another QB fan! I loved that game. Still one of my favorite Xbox exclusives.
Re: Alan Wake 2 Dev Reassures 'Worried' Fans About Xbox & PS5 Versions
He was also annoyed that people revealed the review embargo date which I found odd.
Re: Video: Senua's Insane 'Level Of Realism' Detailed In New Hellblade II Dev Diary
Do we actually think this game is coming 2024? Development for like 700 years and we’ve yet to see some solid gameplay.
Re: Here's A Look At Every Xbox Studio Following The ActiBlizz Acquisition
The only bad thing is, the vast majority of Activision studios are just CoD support.
Re: Activision CEO Namedrops Guitar Hero While Discussing Xbox Takeover's 'Unlimited Potential'
@J_Mo_Money They sure did
Re: Activision CEO Namedrops Guitar Hero While Discussing Xbox Takeover's 'Unlimited Potential'
@J_Mo_Money I too prefer Rock Band but wouldn’t say no to a new GH.
Re: Talking Point: Early Access Players, What Do You Think Of Forza Motorsport So Far?
@pip_muzz Industry has figured out that they can cash in on FOMO. It’s here to stay unfortunately.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 7-8)
Trying to finish up Sea of Stars before Forza.

Re: Talking Point: One Month On From Launch, How Are You Feeling About Starfield?
@Darude84 Correct, the article was asking for how you feel about it. That was my opinion. There will always be outliers as well.
Re: Talking Point: One Month On From Launch, How Are You Feeling About Starfield?
It’s a very good game, but doesn’t get into “great” territory for me. I think if you’re a Bethesda super fan it likely meets the hype but otherwise, no.
Re: Redfall Update 2 Now Live, Includes Performance Mode On Xbox Series X|S
@InterceptorAlpha I thought the 30fps would annoy me compared to 60 but I didn’t even notice it playing this.
Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Are Saying About Forza Motorsport
This sounds a lot like Halo Infinite to me. The gameplay is great but lacked content at launch. I feel like what I’m reading is just a repeat of that.
Re: Cyberpunk's 2.0 Update Has Brought Out The Starfield Comparisons Again
I enjoyed Cyberpunk much more. The story and characters were so much better than Starfield.
Starfield obviously has the edge in terms of exploration and freedom but that’s not what makes a game good for me so it’s quite a bit behind Cyberpunk.
Re: Review: Gotham Knights - A Dark, Dense And Surprisingly Gripping Adventure
@Cherip-the-Ripper I tried them all when I played it but ended with Red Hood because he has guns. Makes his play style feel distinct to me.
Re: During Development, Bethesda 'Nerfed' How Much Damage Planets Could Cause In Starfield
Thank goodness. Having to deal with that would have been absolutely awful.
Re: Here's Everything That Was Revealed At The Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2023 Event
@cmr_araujo It will go to PC after the 3 months. I would not get hopes up for it on Xbox.
Re: As Of Last April, Xbox Series S Accounted For 75% Of Microsoft's Current-Gen Console Sales

Re: Here's A Look At The New 'Sebile' Xbox Controller, Set To Launch In 2024
This is exciting news!
Re: 'Biggest Leak In Xbox History' Reveals New Console Plans, Upcoming Games & More
I am pretty interested in the new controller. I enjoy the dual sense haptics and would game a lot more on Xbox for 3rd party if they had the same.
Re: Review: The Crew Motorfest - A True Forza Horizon Competitor Enters The Playground
@RedShirtRod For $18 you could play through Ubisoft+ if you didn’t want to go full price.
Re: Tales Of Arise Is Getting A Brand-New Expansion, Two Years After Its Xbox Launch
@Darylb88 You’re 100% right. I think I’m just more annoyed than I normally would be since it’s two years later. I never hang onto a disc for two years.
Re: Tales Of Arise Is Getting A Brand-New Expansion, Two Years After Its Xbox Launch
@mousieone I guess being locked in a cage has allowed you to come around to my point of view. 😃

Re: Square Enix Gives Hope To Xbox Fans With Short 'FF7 Rebirth' Exclusivity Window
This will be coming to PC after that. Seems unlikely it’s on Xbox end of May.
Re: Tales Of Arise Is Getting A Brand-New Expansion, Two Years After Its Xbox Launch
I’m definitely going to play this. I’m a bit confused though why the standard game is required if your stuff doesn’t carry over from it?
Re: The Crew Motorfest Free Trial Weekend Now Live On Xbox
@norwichred I’m quite enjoying it. Almost two hours in now. Glad you like it!

@Fenbops I don’t understand why that is even a thing. It’s terrible.
Re: The Next Mass Effect Could Drop Andromeda's Open World Elements
That would be amazing. They really went off the rails.
Re: Forza Motorsport Receives High Praise In First Round Of 'Hands On' Previews
Another game of the generation. How about that.
Re: Poll: Based On What You've Played So Far, What Score Would You Give Starfield?

Re: Xbox Boss Says Starfield 'Exceeded' 1 Million Concurrent Players On Launch Day
@HonestHick 1000%!!! Dang. Should be interesting to see the VG charts for August.
Re: Xbox Boss Says Starfield 'Exceeded' 1 Million Concurrent Players On Launch Day
@Shigurui Thanks. I had see. The play tracker thing on Twitter and they mentioned they use machine learning to estimate numbers so it’s not always accurate.
Bottom line: Good game with good player count.

Re: Original God Of War Director Puts Starfield In Their 'Top 3 Games Of All Time' List
It’s a good game, but not even my favorite Bethesda game. Top 3 of all time is wild.
Re: Xbox Boss Says Starfield 'Exceeded' 1 Million Concurrent Players On Launch Day
@Darylb88 Neither of those were on GamePass though. While 1M players I great, I think GP skews it a little.

Re: Early Access Players, What Are Your First Impressions Of Starfield?
I’m sure I’ll get ripped apart for expressing my opinion but so far I’m underwhelmed (7 hrs).
The Good:
The Bad:
I think the scope of the game ultimately hurts it. A more focused experience would be better for me.
Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Think Of Starfield So Far
@awp69 This is right where I figured it would land so I’m pretty excited to give it a go tonight.
