@Darylb88 Gotcha. I personally wouldn’t pay $50 just to have more storage but some people probably would. My internet is decent (400mbps) so I can delete and download games without much hassle.

Is anyone concerned we haven’t actually seen Hellblade 2 “in action”? I feel like the game isn’t very close, maybe holiday 2024.

@sixrings Ya I know all people don’t want the PS5, I was just comparing the hardware, crazy how close in price.

I’m very confused by this console. $350 is now only $50 away from the better hardware digital PS5. Are there really that many people with an S that are hung up about the storage? I struggle to see who this console is for.

@UltimateOtaku91 I thought the controls felt incredibly sluggish and rough on Plague Tale, I attributed that to the 30fps. I’m going to try another game at 30fps for comparison, as I never choose 30fps.

Phil Spencer said this was a creative decision so I question the “this is so big it can’t do 60fps narrative”. Making 1000 planets where most are barren and have only resources to gather isn’t exactly a compelling argument to make a game bigger and reduce frame rate to me.

I hope that the game is slow enough to not have 30fps be an issue.

@awp69 How does this apply to people being disappointed it’s not 60fps? It appears you’re suggesting that the game is so big it cannot be 60fps, which is fine, but that doesn’t negate that people were hoping for it.

Everything is so polarized. If people are disappointed that it’s not 60fps they get ridiculed here.

@Hi-Fi-Flush That’s my point…lol. The box says that they can do up to that, and we are getting 30fps. Taking shots at people who are disappointed that it’s 30fps is crap in my opinion. You should stop whining and crying about people wanting 60fps.

@Hi-Fi-Flush You’re right, it’s entirely unreasonable for gamers to want 60fps. I have no clue why they would want the option to pick frame rate over fidelity. I’m glad the box of my Xbox says up to 120fps and 8K and here we were crawling along at 30fps.

Disappointing to say the least. I’m sure this following Redfall will be more bad press for Xbox and will dampen the excitement from the show.

Comment section is definitely interesting. I thought that a grade based on the games they showed would be a B. The fact that there was very little gameplay from them takes it down to a B-

However, from what they showed, they have two big games penciled in for 2024 and some without a release date. I think they could get three first party exclusives out next year, unsure about four.

I’m just hoping the waiting game for first party good games is reaching the end.

It was a B to B- It was very lacking in gameplay which was the only disappointment.

@UltimateOtaku91 Square is a weird company so I can see it where they didn’t want FF7 Part 2 and FF16 in the same show to over shadow one or the other.

Now regarding SM2 release date, I’ve got nothing, very confusing.

They have been giving a great opportunity for momentum here. PS show lacked exclusives that people care about, Geoff’s show was a little better than OK. The bar is not very high at the moment for them to win the showcase battle.

It really seems like they’re just trying to bank on LoTR name and hope people still will buy a bad game. This one doesn’t look much better than Gollum, a shame what they’re doing to the franchise.

@NEStalgia Appreciate the feedback on the core. If the max setting makes it similar to dual sense I’d be pleased. I’ll be on the look out for when it drops under $100.

@NEStalgia The loose thumb sticks are the main reason I don’t buy third party games on Xbox. If the tension was better for me I could look past the haptic feedback.

I don’t need the paddles and all that. I just want better tension so I may indeed look into getting the core controller.

@Green-Bandit I so wish Xbox controllers were better. Having both consoles, the Xbox joysticks feel so loose to me. If they were tightened up it would be much better.

First Oceanhorn was pretty decent. I hope this second one is nowhere near as large as BoTW or ToTK, would be an immediate turnoff.

@gollumb82 Starfield on 9/6! I figured winter for Forza. I really hope they didn’t show that weird teaser that looks like Fable dust trail for no reason. I need some Fable!

@gollumb82 We already know Starfield has its own show and they will 100% show Forza.

Fable and Indiana Jones are the two games I have the most interest so if we get a full Fable reveal we see halfway home.

Man I hope D4 is awesome. I also played the beta and outside the first hour or so I enjoyed it a lot. The number of hours they’ve said to get to max level is crazy though.

SE has skipped Xbox on several games so I can’t see this ever coming over.

@Wheatly You have accurately summarized the situation unlike most of the comments who can’t see the forest for the trees.

Played it on PS+ last month, solid game but 9/10 seems pretty excessive to me. More like a 7 or 7.5. Still worth playing though.

Glad it’s reviewing well, a nice stop gap for GamePass even if only for 5-6 hours.

@NEStalgia I guess I don’t get that line of thinking. I know that every time a new console comes out it will do things better than the previous. I also know that a new one is coming in 3-4 years. So to not buy the launch version and wait on the mid gen one is odd because then I’d just say in reply, we’ll why buy that one when we know the launch version after will be better?

I brought up the SSD because that alone makes me happy with my purchase. I’m also happy I get 60fps the majority of the time. I like quick resume. Just examples, I didn’t mean the only reason you get one is for the SSD.

@NEStalgia The lack of loading time alone is enough for me to want the X or PS5 over the previous gen. Technology is constantly improving, why would we not expect consoles to do the same?

Not playing anymore but throughly enjoyed the base game and both DLCs. Best racing game I’ve played.

@themightyant I don’t what consists of all the games you listed but I imagine the vast majority of them are smaller games that would have far less likelihood of being delayed.

You accurately commented that they didn’t have any “big” games in the timeframe which I think is probably part of the issue. Additionally, on the interview with Phil, he said they didn’t get the job done regarding the 12 month thing so there is that.

@Somebody That was one of the parts I disliked a lot actually. I felt like I was just wandering aimlessly. I probably should have followed a guide to at least finish it but I just wasn’t into it.

@Spider-Kev I quit BoTW after like 6-8 hours. I found it very boring and lifeless. I hated the weapons breaking. The story was nonexistent to me. I honestly thought it was bad so good news is that Starfield will be better for me. 😀

@mousieone The FTC was just following marching orders to “crack down” on deals. I think they certainly could lose in court.
