No thank you. Gears 5 was good but I wouldn’t want it any bigger than that. I even think the “open” areas there just padded out the playtime with collectibles and such.

I’m usually interested most in the story so very low chance I have anywhere near that many hours in the game. I’m just hoping the story is good.

Worldless gives me some Ori vibes.

I’d just like to see more actual gameplay. They’ve shone a decent amount of like 30 second clips but nothing of substance in terms of cohesive gameplay.

Out of all the potential concerns I have, start screen was not one of them. What a bizarre take, but it’s generating him revenue on Twitter I imagine.

I feel like this could be an extremely convoluted story.

Sea of Stars demo was good. I’ll be playing that one for sure.

Redfall. I’m not sure what the game plays like now compared to launch but in current state I’d say it’s a 6.5. Missed opportunity for a great game for sure.

It does appear that it’s going to be 1000 points moving forward instead of the 2000 it was.

Even though $18/month is bad for a long period of time, I plan on grabbing a month or two come winter.

Between AC Mirage, The Crew and Avatar, that is easily worth $18 or even $36.

I must say, people seem to be quite “passionate” about the UI here…

@Romans12 50M???? I would love to see evidence of that. The last reporter number was around 29M in February 2023. There is zero chance it doubled since then. As of May 2023, PS+ was 47.4M subs.

@themightyant I understand what you’re going after but aren’t they simply just saying it costs them less to make it than it does to sell it?

I would likely agree that all the R&D and marketing are not being considered as they aren’t COGS. Distribution might be, unsure on that one.

@BAMozzy Sony isn’t selling the consoles at a loss. They’ve been making money on them for at least a year now if I recall correctly.

@UBERSICKO From my own experience, I’ve found the Xbox to load slower for me. It could just be the games I play but I feel like PS5 is faster getting into games.

Played this on PS+, it’s a cool little game. Very unique gameplay with the camera. Only 4-5 hours long too.

It was a decent show. I thought they’d do a little more since Sony show was so bad. I think it probably speaks more to how rough other shows were than this one being amazing.

Really like FH but not much into the sim type racer. Probably give it a try on GamePass just to see though.

@NEStalgia Between the bing searches, daily stuff and Xbox quests, I have made enough rewards to never pay for GamePass and use it to get Amazon cards for discounts on PS games. It has recently gotten worse as they’ve chopped points off of stuff but still will keep me getting free GamePass.

@BAMozzy To be fair, in the vast majority of the world, cloud gaming of these games is a terrible option. I have pretty good internet (400 mb) and I’ve tried cloud gaming on console and through PC and it was garbage. So I don’t think the “you don’t need a console” argument is valid at this time.

@SplooshDmg I also have found that I’m less inclined to pursue getting the points because it’s becoming less points for more work.

@Nickhyazaki If MS is more concerned with Sony not wanting them to buy Activision compared to making 70% of whatever ES6 sells on PS that’s a really odd and dumb choice.

I use Microsoft rewards to cover GamePass and haven’t ever paid for it. It has been a rough year or so for GamePass so I’m glad I don’t pay for it.

I don’t think I’d pay $17/month for it on a regular basis as there just aren’t enough games I’m interested in playing on it. I’d more than likely just sub for a month to play what I want and then let it go until games came back out.

So I guess the short answer is no I wouldn’t pay $17 every month but I also wouldn’t pay the current $15.

Digital Foundry mentioned that the gameplay dropped to around 20 at high action points. I really hope they can make this actually locked at 30fps…

@PsBoxSwitchOwner I agree. $350 for the S is very odd and too close to the “big boys”.

@LordFunkalot I didn’t manage 75% of them in Elden Ring, only 64%.

Diablo 4 will take a big chunk of time to get 75% but it’s more a time thing that a multiplayer or skill thing to get there.

I saw that Inmortals was delayed to August unfortunately.

@LordFunkalot Regarding Diablo, getting 60% isn’t really that hard. There are only three that are hard. 5 PvP kills, level 50 hardcore and beating the final Uber boss. I think you could get the 60% just through regular gameplay. It’s a lot of fun.

I’ve heard good things about this, nice addition to GamePass.

Well, 343 is still kicking so I doubt they shut Arkane down.

They also mention that it’s not actually 4K. The scene they counted pixels on was 1296p and then upscaled. So not only is it not 60fps, it’s not even 4K/30 which is a bummer.

Really wish the game would be third person but I’ll also just be happy if it releases.

Anyone see the DF review saying Starfield is running at 1296p and checkerboard 4K?

Character models didn’t look that good to me but the environment looks fantastic.

@Fiendish-Beaver Few months back the voice actor for his kid said he’s not even been contacted regarding Gears 6 and doubled down by saying this wasn’t just him saying that. Makes me wonder what they’re doing.
