Re: Bethesda's Pete Hines Apologises To Fans Upset By Starfield Xbox Exclusivity

@Chaudy I can only assume you mean with the likes of Naughty Dog and Insomniac? I think those are difficult to compare to the Bethesda deal. Buying a studio that has spent a couple of decades making exclusive titles with the occasional third party title isn't the same as buying an umbrella company that has been making multiplatform games for the the same couple of decades.

I agree Pete Hines had absolutely no reason to apologise, Bethesda were offered an insane amount of money and they were right to take it all it does for me is change the shape of pad I'll use to continue playing there games, I'm not blindingly loyal to any platform holder, if that was the case I'd still be crying that Sega don't make consoles anymore.

@logicslayer historically PC have always cost less than console games its not a new thing that's happened because game prices have gone up (for some games) for the first time in a decade or more. I payed £64.99 for my copy of Metal Gear Solid on PS1 back in 99 so it's not a new thing games costing a lot.

Look at RE Village that wasn't £70 was it? if Sony were forcing devs/publishers that would have been as well.

Re: Xbox Appears To Be Cracking Down On One Cheaper Game Pass Loophole

@blinx01 I like that your reasoning for not subbing to game pass is because people are "casual" gamers, I don't sub because I don't have loads of free time to be able to play 5 plus games month, I have a kids so that makes my game time more limited so I play games I want to play. If it had been around on the 360 I'd of had a rolling on because I was playing more as I had more free time.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Still Buy An Xbox Without Game Pass In 2021?

Decoy_Snake

yes, if there's games there I wanna play ill still buy and play an Xbox.

Gamepass is an amazing service if you have the free time to play a wide range of games but as someone with limited time to play due to work, family, football & seeing friends (again finally) I can be playing the same game for months.

For instance I finished AssCreed Odyssey at the start of April I started it in mid December, 4 months of game time for £7. Its very rare I have 2 big games on the go at one time nowadays.

Re: Poll: Will Bethesda's Indiana Jones Game Be An Xbox Exclusive?

Decoy_Snake

I think it should be Microsoft have to ramp up the exclusive front, much like Spiderman on Playstation Indy is one that would definitely be a blast if done properly and by that time Bethesda would be a few years in the Xbox Studios & this would be a new IP for them, my only concern would be Bethesda making it. If its one of the other studios under the Bethesda umbrella id be much more confident.

@BlueOcean again I said the studio acquisitions were a good thing and im looking forward to seeing what everyone has to show. I'm looking forward to seeing gameplay for Fable and Avowed but I can't get over hyped on a short CG trailer, as time goes on im looking forward to seeing them in action.

and isn't that a problem for people who play games on any platform that they don't have enough time to play the games there interested in?
