What is in the developer direct in Jan should be launching in 2026. I am concerned how far back Fable 6 is being pushed tbh. Matt Booty is as bad at studio management as Herman Hulst.
@IOI I don't think Fable will be cancelled as it's one of their big AAA games they are betting on, but I do think it will be out in 2027 with a PS5 version.
I feel like even if this were to be less popular like the PS5 pro, both pieces of tech are beta testing for new software and hardware that are likely to be adopted in the next-gen consoles.
Expecting November to be a bit lighter with COD in the middle of the month and NG4, The Outer Worlds 2 and Football Manager 26 keeping players busy as we head into the festive season.
Winter Burrow looks like an eye-catching indie title.
@CallMeDuraSouka As someone who enjoyed Avowed, I will say it is a big step up in terms of scope, writing, gameplay mechanics, RPG systems, and choice consequences.
I am really enjoying it so far - getting close to a 10/10, just like KCD 2 earlier in the year.
Also, like some reviewers mentioned, the game is quite pedestrian until the latter part of the first planet, when you have to make a big choice. After that, things really take off.
I really enjoyed the game and look forward to the game mechanic updates and the DLC. I don't play the game as much anymore, but I would love an opportunity to dive back in for some new content.
@jesse_dylan I would say it's a role-playing game to a degree. You have to investigate stuff, manage survival mechanics and level up gear. The developers describe it as an action survival game.
@Nintendo4Sonic Crying? No. The box has 4K 60fps on it. It even had 8K on it previously. I don't dispute that the value is good overall but if I want to play KCD 2, AC Shadows or any other AAA at anything close to 4K I have to choose 30fps. That's just a fact. The console will have been out 5 years by this November so I am ready for something new that can hit 4K60 through AI tech or other technology upgrades.
The Outer Worlds 2 is the only Xbox game I'm looking forward to for 2025. It's a big shame about Fable moving to 2026 but if it is better for it then that's a good thing. I will keep an eye on Ninja Gaiden 4.
I would be more than happy to get a new console at the end of this year, given we can't get anything close to native 4K and 60fps like we were sold. I don't mind playing 30fps to get the higher quality but I shouldn't have to pay £700 to get it.
Playing KCD2 ahead of AC Shadows on the 20th and Atomfall on the 24th. I'm about 75 hours in at least but I think I might have another 20+ hours to go based on the number of main missions.
Up until recently I could get the Series X in my area and Series S 512GB is readily available in my area. The stock in certain areas has been patchy so far this year though. I think we are on the final 18 month run up to a next gen Xbox.
The sales of the Xbox does not affect me. I'm invested into the Xbox Ecosystem because of the Software and platform services not the hardware. Once Xbox stops making consoles I will just get a PC and have the same (if not better) experience there or on cloud.
Great for that team, I don't think it will have much impact in stopping GTA 6 slipping into 2026 though. They are probably annoyed Microsoft got in there with Fable first.
I loved watch dogs legion due to the setting and the world. The unique mechanics were also interesting. It's a 10/10 for myself and one of my most enjoyed games of all time. To me it's levels about Watch Dogs 2. It's definitely a marmite type of game though.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Clint Hocking is cooking up with AC Hexe.
I could see this coming a mile away. The Outer World 2 will be the winter game for Xbox. They will give it a date when GTA 6 gets it's date. Either September if GTA 6 in November, or November if GTA 6 gets pushed into 2026 (likely).
@Reptilio You can play as the "bad" guy by taking a path that drastically alters the ending of the story in a negative way. You can make or break areas based on your choices too. I don't remember seeing you could be evil anywhere but having the option to basically wreck the living lands and upset everyone is my 2nd playthrough.
I played the rest of Avowed over the weekend clocking in over 55 hours. I really enjoyed it. I think now I'll start Like A Dragon Pirates in Hawaii and countnue KCD2.
@ItsTrippi Its average of 5.9 (Basically 6) on Metacritic isn't that bad. I am aware the game is acquired taste and the article is designed to get ad click through by not mentioning the game. I enjoyed it a lot and I also am enjoying Avowed too. Tbh I enjoy most games across most genres although the Saints Row reboot was terrible.
@Scrubchub I think if you enjoy the setting of London, a unique open world mechanic or tech based mini games you might enjoy this one. It was fairly well received by critics overall even if it isn't groundbreaking like a RDR2.
I really loved the setting. It's rare to get such an immersive environment in London and the mechanics were unique. The best Watch Dogs for me by a mile and 10/10 for myself. I strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Ubisoft style open world games. It's a great addition for Gamepass!
@OldGamer999 The Series X has been in stock until now, Series S 512GB came back in stock early Feb and the next drop will be early March for White Series X, Series S 1TB and those who brough the 2TB variant.
I am really glad I got the early access. I'm about 27 hours in and I only just made it halfway! You can really whiz through the main story in about 20 - 25 hours but there is 60 -80 hours of content here if you play at a higher difficulty and do everything.
I prefer the turn based mainline series, but I enjoyed the spinoffs likg Gaiden and Judgment. Based on that good reviews I've picked this one up ahead of Friday's launch. I should be done with Avowed by the and can juggle this with KCD2.
@abe_hikura The main reason why it is 6pm is because digital players use the NZ trick which is technically not allowed. I do think they have gone the right way about it though by closing the loophole rather than banning players who exploited it. I think 6pm is a decent time for most in the UK who work or study. I do feel bad for those that took the day off to play the game although I would imagine someone that invested in the game would have got the early access. I got the early access on Friday at 6pm and I've really enjoyed the 20 hours or so I've played so far.
I think both might be 2026 haha. If they both do release in fall 2025 then I can imagine Fable will shift either a month before or after GTA6. I hope for everyone's sake T2 and R* give us a date before the summer so other developers can actually make some commitments.
I decided to pre order Atomfall to support the Devs and play a little early but I am glad it is coming to Gamepass too. 2025 is shaping up to have some great Gamepass additions.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think Xbox's Release Schedule Looks Like For 2026?
I am not sure Fable will make 2026 at this rate - but the other 3 will slot in and we might even see some Clockwork Revolution or State of Decay 3!

Thanks, Microsoft, for keeping Sony on their toes. It's a win for all gamers across both platforms and PC.

Re: Here's The First 'Top 10' Metacritic List Of 2025 For Xbox Series X|S

@Jenkinss Ubisoft managed to get RT on the Series S which is even more impressive given it's one of the very few games to achieve this.
Re: One Of The Most Impressive Open Worlds Of This Generation Hits Xbox Game Pass Next Week
@Scrubchub I think if you enjoy the setting of London, a unique open world mechanic or tech based mini games you might enjoy this one. It was fairly well received by critics overall even if it isn't groundbreaking like a RDR2.
Re: One Of The Most Impressive Open Worlds Of This Generation Hits Xbox Game Pass Next Week
@ItsTrippi it's a 76-80 on metacritic with a 6.5 player rating.. you didn't like it sure but it wasn't poorly received by everyone as you claim.
Saints Row Remake is the worst open world game I've played and it's not even close.
Re: One Of The Most Impressive Open Worlds Of This Generation Hits Xbox Game Pass Next Week
