Great to see Xbox doing this, I look forward to seeing the developer reactions in the near future. There are quite a few games on the lists that I enjoyed in 2024. Some of the highlights for me were Persona 3 Reload, Dragons Dogma 2, Metaphor ReFantazio and Dragon Age The Veilgaurd. I also enjoyed Star Wars Outlaws, MS Flight Sim 24 and FC 25.

I am glad Xbox is still around, they need to be around to keep Sony in check so they don't make more Concord level mistakes and get away with it. I do feel Nintendo will be a good ally to Xbox and a huge threat to Sony over the next few years.

I would be curious to see what MS think of this, considering their gaming division turns a profit..

Xbox Series X - available on the MS to order and Argos have good stock levels

Xbox Series X Digital - available on the MS to order for a Feb delivery date, stock ETA into stores is mid Feb.

Xbox Series X 2TB SE - available on the MS to order for an early march restock

Xbox Series S 512GB - available on the MS to order within 2 days - will be back in stores by early Feb

Xbox Series S 1TB White - available on the MS to order for March stock drop. Stores will get a stock drop between late Feb and early March

Xbox Series S 1TB Black - discontinued - 2nd hand purchase only

It's really not that bad, they just sold through the UK stock they over over Black Friday and Xmas. The Xbox is MS's 2nd largest global market in terms of share % vs Sony and Nintendo.

Looks decent and it's on Gamepass so I will be giving this a try. This looks like it could potentially have some the mechanics and world building that I enjoy in games. Some of the early reviews from some rather critical reviewers have been tentatively positive.

Only interested in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 this time around. I doubt the surprise game will be anything mind blowing for my tastes but very happy to be proven wrong.

@Jaxx420 The Cynical part of me wonders if the low score would drive up engagement/click through rate. It's probably got the lowest ad rev of any of Ziff's sites and it's not the first time PX has done this to boost low engagement. It might be the reviewers true opinion, but I mean the big discourse around it and the numbers of increased engagement are awfully convenient.

I'm enjoying my time with the game so far, I don't need to worry how well the game is doing for some confirmation bias thing.

@Steel76 Sounds pretty bad, but the majority of AAA games now use aggressive upscaling to hit an output resolution and frame rate that is acceptable. You won't actually see 540p. The image won't look great on a 4k TV but native 540p would look blurry on a switch let alone a screen any bigger.

@kuu_nousee It's easier to monetize the online echo chamber of hate. Loving things that aren't "in" like BG3 isn't profitable, despite BG3 and DAV being both what some would regard as progressive. Most large YouTube gaming channels are like Ubisoft, they copy trends for profit.

Glad Sony was not allowed to money hat another game. Square learnt the hard way that it doesn't make financial sense especially keeping the game off PC.

Great game and 100% GOTY material.

Looking forward to this game, even some of the particularly skeptical reviewers like Luke Stephens seems to be positive about it. I think it will do reasonably well outside the echo chamber.

Happy to see this likely has a 60fps mode on series s. I got a series x now but glad got those still ok the x.

Maybe I should sue Sony for Concord. That game was a crime against wallets.

Looks nice but I was able to get a new disc Series X for £429. I will probably never use the disc drive but it is nice to have.

100% want more DLC for Hogwarts Legacy.

Upgrading to the standard Series X as I was able to get it new for the same price as the digital but the white does look good though.

@Ricky-Spanish Yes there are many who both like and dislike it so it's not objectively good or bad. Yes I've enjoyed my time with the game overall, it's definitely not perfect though.

@RentedPanda I'm kind of curious if Avowed will get delayed out of Feb as AC Shadows is there now to really pack the month out.

I'm looking forward to the game, day 1. Nice to see the comments section not a complete hate train like PS.

I enjoyed the game like many other I know, and I don't think there is an issues with devs who have worked on something for years, being proud of their contribution.

Enjoyed the base game and now I'm enjoying the dlc.

I enjoyed the base game and expected more of the same so enjoying the DLC too.

Nice to see that are plenty of people actually enjoying the game rather than just presuming it's bad without playing. I'm enjoying my time with it so far. I feel like post pandemic the majority of very good games just aren't good enough for the "hardcore" fanbase across all systems. It has to be 10/10 or it's trash. I think digital foundry has a lot to answer for in players over analysing sometimes very minimal things. I didn't even know what FPS, frame pacing, RT and upscaling tech were until I watched their videos. I think I was happier when I didn't know any better. Now it feels like almost everyone online is an expert to either back up or trash a game.

No problems for me, obviously I quit out of quick resume like you are supposed to when updating. I really enjoyed the base game and looking forward to this. DLCs don't often get reviews day one but I expect this will review fairly well like that base game.

Since AC Shadows is moving to Feb, does that mean a delay for KKD2 or Avowed, I can see at least one of these being delayed into March or April as Feb is getting very crowded and as much as people are hating on AC Shadows/Ubisoft online it will sell a lot more now with that steam day 1 and impact sales of others maybe except MH Wilds.
