For those of you who tuned in last night, The Game Awards quickly turned into the Expedition 33-fest as Clair Obscur took home a boatload of awards - and one team that doesn't seem super happy about not getting anything is Warhorse Studios; the dev behind the excellent Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
While the team ultimately congratulated Sandfall Interactive on its TGA sweep with a friendly 'good game, well played', Warhorse seems a little aggrieved by the fact that its big 2025 RPG took home zero awards at the show. Here's what the official Twitter account had to say on that (or indeed, imply):
At the same time, Warhorse's communications director was a little more, ahem, direct, in their reaction to KCD2's The Game Awards snub. "We have officially been robbed", the dev went on to say.
To be fair, we get it. Whilst Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 no-doubt deserved the awards it won, it does feel a little silly for one game to win in so many categories - and maybe something like KCD2 indeed deserved a bit more of a shoutout. That's an argument for another day, mind you - but clearly, the Kingdom Come team was hoping for a little more recognition coming out of The Game Awards this year.
