Original Story: It's time for the Xbox Countdown Sale 2025! This is the last major Xbox sale of the year and it features well over 1,000 games in all, including a big bunch of great releases from the past 12 months.
Down below, we've highlighted just some of the most notable deals in the Xbox Countdown Sale 2025. To find the full list, you can go to the "Deals" section of the Microsoft Store on your Xbox console and then look for the "Countdown Sale" tab (it'll also show on the Xbox PC app). Alternatively, you'll find them in the "Xbox Specials" category.
The Xbox Countdown Sale 2025 will officially last until January 7th, 2026. Enjoy!

@GamerScore200K it’s a lot of the same old, same old yeah but there are some absurdly great games on this list. If you think Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, DoomDA, Death Stranding or FF16 are “crap”, I can’t imagine what you’re playing. You either have access to true god tier games the rest of us don’t even know about, or you’re a ‘gamer’ who actually just plays stuff like Fortnite and Roblox.

Playing The Messenger (which I just picked up for $4 last week) for the first time has put me in the mood to play Sea of Stars again. Oh, it's only $21? How convenient. SOLD!
Looks like a decent sale, there are, of course, the usual games, but some newer games from the last 6 months are usually the ones I watch out for.

@DeadSpace I have had my eye on this one but was put off it when I saw in a few reviews that it can be "difficult". As some one who likes to play games on Easy, would you say this game is difficult and if so, what would you compare it to?
@ZeD Hi. It's not that difficult. The game makes it look/feel like it is difficult because there is not much resources but... it's always enough! I would compare it to Dead Space mostly but it's got it's own vibe. If you like a time travel theme, you will enjoy it.
The story is good and not that predictable. Poland in 80's make it look unique - something you don't see often
Since dropping a couple of levels in Gamepass i've been buying more games that I actually want to play. I've grabbed a few bargains this time around.

Actually some great titles on sale. I hope people check out Metaphor Refantazio if they like RPGs. Amazing title.
See Xbox lowered Divinity 2 from 17.99 to 14.99 matching PS. Bought a copy at 14.99 on PS the other day, though.
