Square Enix is kicking off the year in a big way with the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake on Xbox, and following last month's demo drop, the epic JRPG is now available to preload on Series X|S consoles.
Launching January 22nd, this is a pretty early preload all-things considered, but we'll take it given how big the download is. We're looking at roughly 110GB for Final Fantasy 7 Remake on Xbox Series X|S; better get installing it ASAP then!
If you've yet to decide about buying this one, the above download can be initiated via the Xbox mobile app, in case you'd like to have the files installed and ready to go on console for closer to launch. Square Enix is doing its best to entice early purchases too; FF7 Remake is just $40 at launch, and Xbox players who buy in January will get the original game as a bonus as well.
Of course, that demo we mentioned up at the top remains available to download and try out ahead of launch in a few weeks' time. Digital Foundry was pretty impressed by the demo, and progress carries over to the full version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake as well!
