I've played it on the larger game modes, like breakthrough and conquest and it is quite fun, however it just feels like battlefield lite to me... It's better than the recent BF games but does it do anything different or better than what BF1 and BF4 did? No. For me it's worse than the older games, it's just too small, and doesn't have the same destruction either.
I've played it with EA pro on my legion go, and it's kind of fun but not too sure I like the smaller maps, and doesn't seem to be alot of other weapons. Also seems to take an age to unlock anything... It's the best BF since maybe BF1 and BF4 but I still probably think it's a step back from them games tbh.
Game pass and ms seeming abit more customer friendly is what swayed me from my ps5 to Xbox. I actually did prefer the interface and the aesthetics of the series X and S this gen but I think I'm about to go pc only from now on and vote with my wallet. I've already massively cut down, everything is just too expensive as it is. So nice one MS you can shove your game pass up your *rse. There is no value in it anymore, don't have enough time to play several games and you can get most of the games cheap anyway with a key so I'll just do that instead probably.
I like the look of both. If I had £800 spare I'd definitely buy a ally X. I already own a legion go and whilst I probably could sell it and make it work to get the £500 version, I'd probably get worse performance and a worse screen? Although I do like everything else eg the handheld windows and the actual casing/ controller of the Xbox ROG Ally. I'll wait and see if performance of the Xbox ally is better than my legion go and if it is I'll sell the go and try get a pre-owned or a new one on a decent deal or something...
I do like the look of the Xbox ROG ally X but don't think I could justify the £800+ on it... Same with the cheaper version I like the look of it, Xbox controller feels and even like the ROG ally but it's a bit pricey if you already own another handheld. I own the Legion go which I got for about £350 or just over and a Series X. So I believe in terms of hardware and screen it would be a step down for more money just to have a nicer handheld. I've owned a Rog ally before and I thought it was great just needed a little more juice! I am really hoping that the new UI comes to my legion go, I think that looks fantastic! Just can't afford the £800+ for the x version, and believe you may as well pick up a Rog ally instead of the cheaper version for a couple hundred £ instead.
Was kind of holding out for one of these! I've previously owned a Rog ally and steam deck and both great handhelds. But as much as I like the Xbox theme and UI on these new handhelds I can't justify paying them prices and I'm not paying £500 to play in 720p they've dropped a bollock there imo... I'll either get a legion go or switch 2 which is a shame because I really like the look of these handhelds, oh well....
No I bought my series X for £300 second hand with 2 games but basically looked and felt new out of the box. I payed £250 for my original series S, which was good value but it's getting outdated now... I doubt there will be a reason to own an Xbox next gen. Everything will be available on game pass, playstation and pc etc so I'll go for the best value for my money where I can put of principle. I do actually prefer the Series X to PS5 tbh but I'll see what happens next gen. But I aren't paying stupid money. Maybe I'll have a look at a portable pc or something depends on value for money I guess.
That's me definitely not buying anything day 1 now... Bought my Xbox series X for £300 with games second hand basically like new. And will definitely buy from CD keys 90% of the time now. I only do the odd month on game pass now aswell. Thought Xbox was the cheaper option and I actually preferred the features on the console to the PS5. Microsoft have basically stripped back any reason to own an Xbox and then thrown the prices up aswell! It's not great either Xbox going down the pan because then Sony will have control over the console market with their shady moves.
I'll be playing Oblivion remaster, love it so far. Think it's the first game that I've not been able to put down as an adult. I was 8 when it first released and played it on and off for years so it's not my first rodeo. But every spare minute or hour I get I'm on this game as much as I can they just don't make them like this anymore imo. Watching the boxing tonight and fingers crossed the mighty reds lift the title tomorrow but other than that Oblivion all the way!
5 hours in and loving it! Love the graphics and changes, character creator is way better too! Loved this game as a kid and loving it so far! Combat feels a little better from original Oblivion from what I remember but still the same thing really, it could be way better but it does the job, I suppose it's true to Oblivion. I just need to find a way to take a week off from work and the family now😅
Suits me... I'm slowly working my way through Hogwarts Legacy and I've got a meta quest vr on the way so, I was never going to have the time for this too even though it looks great! So many good games for me to get through. Could do with 2 weeks of no responsibilitys, job and kids and I might get somewhere in my backlog😅 not even looked at Indiana Jones yet either...
Fc 25, Undisputed, hogwarts legacy, harrypotter quidditch, suicide squad, gotham knights. All digital on the series S. Although I bought the last 4 this month on sale!
I got it on Ubisoft+ on PC. It's alright... Not a massive fan of the forced stealth, some bits about the game are cool though. Just makes me want a proper RPG Star Wars in the Bethesda mould though... But yeah I've put about 11 hours in and it's a solid 6-7. I plan to finnish it throughout my month of plus then it's only set me back £15. Probably won't buy it unless some game changing DLC gets added in future, although I will say it's held my attention more than Jedi Survivor did.
One of those games I thought looks decent and everyone raves about it but I didn't want to buy it so I'll most likely try it at some point in the next couple of months, good addition though!
All they had to do is take the Blag flag concept and flesh it out and make it more in depth... They lost me as soon as I heard you couldn't head out on land and have combat outside of using your ship. You should be able to board and have fights etc, go to Islands find treasure, attack ports and cities etc, actually be a pirate. So much wasted potential...
I've never played Halo, it just past me by even when I had a 360. I like the look of infinite but have no idea of anything going on in the story. Are the older games still fun and worthwhile going through? Are they long campaigns?
Star wars Outlaws Avowed Hellblade. (I've still not even got through the first yet! It's on my backlog list though!) Possibly Dragons Dogma 2 and flintlock we will see...
I'm hoping there will be some sort of star wars conversion mod or something of the sort. Starfield would be the perfect Star Wars game. I wish Bethesda made a Star Wars game in the mould of Starfield... Imagine you can be jedi, sith, bounty hunter, you could join the empire or rebellion, jetpacks, blaster, the force, lightsaber, different imperial armours etc. Ahh one can dream, maybe I'll get it one day...
I think I'll play it at some point over the next month but I've still got alot go do on starfield and just got jedi survivor too. However I'm not reading any guide before I play, I'll learn as I go and see if it's going to be my sort of thing. It's a game I don't think you should have to read a guide before you play it, however it's nice to know its there if needed!
Starfield it has me hooked! Every chance I get I'm firing my Xbox up and jumping back on this game now! It's going to be pretty depressing when reality kicks in and I have to go back to work!! I've been getting as many hours in as I can around looking after 2 young kids anyway.
Starfield for me! It's really getting its hooks into me now 35 hours in!!! My evenings are flying by playing this game, some parts of it are a bit mehh but some bits made me smile. What's not to like about somebody trying to kill me a space pirate for a bounty, then me blowing their engines boarding them and floating about their ship with little gravity killing them all with my shotgun and then keeping their ship!!! Or another moment I had a bounty on my head bounty hunters come to kill me and I've not fixed my ship from the last encounter before I thought I'm screwed here then get rescued by 2 other ships just to be told they are bounty defenders and they are just keeping me alive till my bounty is high... Amused me anyway!
I played starfield on my Rog Ally when it released, got about 22 hours in, forgot where I was and picked it back up when I got my series X for Xmas! At first I was feeling abit mehh I was exploring this barren planet trying to 100% research for credits and making a bit of a rubbish outpost. I didn't know if I was gonna bother carrying it on but then a few cool stuff happened in space getting attacked by bounty hunters and getting hooked on the crimson fleet quest line, being a pirate then making my way to neon etc. I definitely think there's some good fun to be had with this game if you can find it. I guess it's just about getting past all the load screens, annoying inventory management, barren planets with f**kall on them etc. It could of been so much better but at the same time it's a decent game if your willing to put up with some of the crap to get to the enjoyment. I hope Bethesda does a No mans sky and a cyberpunk and gives it some 2.0 treatment in the future as it really could hit the 9 and 10's in the ratings but for me it sits somewhere between a solid 7 and 8 at the moment. It might improve as I play more or maybe it will go downhill either way it has my attention for the next few evenings!
For me so far I'd go 1) Oblivion (I wish that got a remaster so bad) 2) Fallout 3/ Skyrim are tied tbh. 3) Fallout 4 4) Starfield... However I will say I am only 18 hours in so far but I am really enjoying it and it has me hooked! Any gaming time I get between work and looking after the kids I'm straight on it! I'm wishing I could play more and feel like I've barely scratched the surface so far, there's lots of things I want to do, but get sidetracked or just not that far into the game yet! It does have potential to go up the list however its too early to call just yet as all the games above I went back to them time and time again over the years so I guess I'll only know over the next couple of years!!!!
I bought the new cod on my steam deck and I must say I am really enjoying it so far, the campaign and multiplayer. Its the first time I bought a cod since black ops 2... And I have to say its pretty decent as all the running round like a nob bobbing up and down doesn't really seem to work in this one which I am glad about.
Battlefront 2 for me! My favourite game of my childhood, had everything and it's still pretty good today. If only they just remastered that and added a few bits in, aswell as space to ground combat the new battlefront could of been amazing...oh well. Force unleashed, revenge of the sith and jedi fallen order were all fun too.
Hmmm, May bite. Guess I’ll see at the time if I fancy it or not. Might just have another run through when we get the free upgrades with game pass it’s been a good couple of years. Every time I play Skyrim I’ll play a save about 10-20 hours then not play for months and come back completely forget everything I’ve done and where I am and then start a new save and pretty much do the same build and stuff over again and repeat lol… We need an oblivion remaster!!!
@MaccaMUFC yeah you can, they are making a dock so you can do the same as you would with a switch. Only problem is it’s going to be sold separately, but they have also said you can use any 3rd party ones out there already and I believe they’ve demoed it already in their videos.
I love it. It’s my main console for now, I’ve sold my switch, gaming laptop and PS4 as I don’t have the time for all of them and really love my Series S. Perfect for game pass, all the streaming apps etc, just how quick and snappy everything is your instantly in your games and switching between them so fast. Had it running on a 4K tv playing AC Valhalla, everything looked absolutely stunning and on a 1080p screen at 60fps. Basically for your money you aren’t getting a better gaming machine in my opinion and as I work away and travel back and forth every week it’s a perfect size. Storage is a pain but I have a 1tb HD and just transfer games back and forth so not too bad on that front even if a pain. I guess the only problem with the Series S will be longevity and getting left behind/ slowing down when more intensive hardware transfers over in the future, for me not too major a problem I’ll just make an upgrade but absolutely love my Series S since I bought it at launch.
Got one on order for 2022 Q2, can’t wait, I travel quite a lot but even when I’m home I don’t get as much series S time as I’d like as the kid always hogs the tv/ keeps me busy. Now I can play my steam library and get the most out of game pass on the sly haha.
Hoping for AC Odyssey with all the dlc for a good price, owned it on pc completed the base story, but would love it with all dlc on my Xbox and maybe origins aswell as never played it. A big sale on avengers would be nice too but I never know if to bite the bullet or hope it comes on game pass...
AC Valhalla on my series S. Put it down due to work about 20 hours in around launch time then just never got back into it, loving it again now though. It looks so good aswell, really happy with my series S! Also playing Pokemon sword on the switch doing some wild area and raid stuff.
Hard one... I first played BF 1943 thought it was amazing at the time and my first BF game. Played BF4 quite a lot enjoyed it. Hated hardline... Played the BF3 vietnam add on I believe a little bit remember enjoying that one a lot too Tbf. But BF1 is more fresh in the memory and really enjoyed that and probably played it the most tbh but I just went with BF 1943 on nostalgia and that it was the one that got me into the games.
Bought it and played it on PS4 couple of years ago never got far into it tbh, felt like playing it again but didn’t want to shell out again so nice cheers game pass!
I’m thinking one of the Dynasty Warriors games as not played one in years and want to scratch that itch. They’re never on sale usually. Just not sure which one🤔...
Lego Batman is pretty decent but I really don’t have the time to play all the games I already own and want to play on game pass so I don’t really care I get my value for money with game pass anyway... So anything extra is a nice bonus, people will complain about anything lol.
Come on get it on game pass! I reckon it will be alright on game pass but don’t want to pay the money for it going off what people are saying about the game. But low expectations and on game pass I reckon I could have some fun with it...
Destroy all humans! Played on the Ps2 and wii, looks decent but didn’t want to pay. Cheers game pass! Anyone else struggling to pick stuff to play because there’s so much to pick from on game pass lol

Star wars Outlaws

Re: Pick One: Which Is The Best Bethesda Game Studios RPG?
For me so far I'd go
1) Oblivion (I wish that got a remaster so bad)
2) Fallout 3/ Skyrim are tied tbh.
3) Fallout 4
4) Starfield... However I will say I am only 18 hours in so far but I am really enjoying it and it has me hooked! Any gaming time I get between work and looking after the kids I'm straight on it! I guess the only problem with the Series S will be longevity and getting left behind/ slowing down when more intensive hardware transfers over in the future, for me not too major a problem I’ll just make an upgrade but absolutely love my Series S since I bought it at launch.
Re: Xbox Head Phil Spencer Has Already Got His Hands On Valve's Steam Deck
Got one on order for 2022 Q2, can’t wait, I travel quite a lot but even when I’m home I don’t get as much series S time as I’d like as the kid always hogs the tv/ keeps me busy. Now I can play my steam library and get the most out of game pass on the sly haha.
Re: Xbox's Huge E3 2021 Sale Begins This Week, Over 500 Games Discounted
Hoping for AC Odyssey with all the dlc for a good price, owned it on pc completed the base story, but would love it with all dlc on my Xbox and maybe origins aswell as never played it. A big sale on avengers would be nice too but I never know if to bite the bullet or hope it comes on game pass...
Re: Surprise! Free Radical Is Making A New TimeSplitters Game
Would love it but I’ll believe it when I see it...
Re: These 15 Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (May 18-27)
Only Conan exiles appealing for me this time!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 15th)
AC Valhalla on my series S. Put it down due to work about 20 hours in around launch time then just never got back into it, loving it again now though. It looks so good aswell, really happy with my series S! Also playing Pokemon sword on the switch doing some wild area and raid stuff.
Re: Pick One: Which Of These Battlefield Games Is Your Favourite?
Re: Conan Exiles Is Coming Soon To Xbox Game Pass
Bought it and played it on PS4 couple of years ago never got far into it tbh, felt like playing it again but didn’t want to shell out again so nice cheers game pass!
Re: Deals: 'Golden Week Sale' Now Live On Xbox, 100+ Games Included
I’m thinking one of the Dynasty Warriors games as not played one in years and want to scratch that itch. They’re never on sale usually. Just not sure which one🤔...
Re: Poll: Are You Happy With May 2021's Xbox Games With Gold?
Lego Batman is pretty decent but I really don’t have the time to play all the games I already own and want to play on game pass so I don’t really care I get my value for money with game pass anyway... So anything extra is a nice bonus, people will complain about anything lol.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 24th)
Chivalry 2 beta, bit of fifa career mode and probably play marvel ultimate alliance on the switch! Maybe some Pokemon sword aswell.
Re: Talking Point: Would You Still Buy An Xbox Without Game Pass In 2021?
Game pass is pretty much the reason I bought my Series S! Along with a way to get on next gen cheap until I have abit more money for a upgrade!
Re: The Creative Director Of Marvel's Avengers Has Jumped Ship
Come on get it on game pass! I reckon it will be alright on game pass but don’t want to pay the money for it going off what people are saying about the game. But low expectations and on game pass I reckon I could have some fun with it...
Re: These Five Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (April 22-30)
Destroy all humans! Played on the Ps2 and wii, looks decent but didn’t want to pay. Cheers game pass! Anyone else struggling to pick stuff to play because there’s so much to pick from on game pass lol
