I was torn between PDZ and Kameo at launch; I went with Kameo and regret nothing. I still love that game

I miss the trial versions of XBLA games. Where it was essentially the full game, but locked after a certain point unless you stumped up 800 points to buy it.

Getting to try before you buy was a huge selling point for me, especially considering the prices of a lot of indies these days.

@Ricky-Spanish @PsBoxSwitchOwner I'm not naive enough to believe that none the big cheeses in gaming dont indulge in spin, but MS are the absolute worst IMO. It's their ridiculous, gameshow host, OTT, grandiose, buzzword laden, snake oil nonsense they peddle on a regular basis. It's all smoke and mirrors to me. Playstation are a close second, but yeah, these "vertical slices" that are meant to be "representative" of the final product is an aspect of gaming they should just kill off.

I still subscribe to Viz, so I love the nod towards the humour!

They just need to get rid of the talking heads nonsense now. It's so cringe, and MS is the last of the big 3 that use it the most.

Not to mention that a lot of it feels like back-patting and opportunities to drop buzzwords.

Show us the games, and let the games do the talking. This is just my take, so don't eviscerate me please. I enjoyed the presentation as a whole, but it should have been less waffle and more footage IMO.

@darkswabber I agree with you on all points. I would point out though that purchases on PSN do net you coins as well, which always helps to save us some cash

I wanted to love this game in PS5. I got all trophies, and I'm a big fan of Evil Within and traditional folklore/horror as well, but there were lots of things that just didn't click. 6/10 all day long for me. I do hope others enjoy it though, as I wish nothing but the best for Tango

I've completely finished VS, and it's a great game. Not sure I see it in the same league is GoW or Elden Ring though 🤔

Played with 2 other mates. Great atmosphere, tense combat, but yeah, pretty empty and still quite buggy. It's currently a 6 all day long IMO

As much as I appreciate the design, every single corridor looks like a decaying alien rectal cavity. And as we all know, when you've seen one decaying alien rectal cavity, you've seen them all.

I welcome it. There's a ton of music I like on Apple for streaming that isn't even available on Spotify.

@Snake_V5 ideally yes. I've got the drums for my Switch version, which work on the PS4 with a dongle. Here's hoping Xbox doesn't need any extra gubbins to just plug and play

I mean, it's interesting news. I'm just not sure how this will have a positive effect in the long term. Stagnation, restriction, limitations... these are the negatives. One company having a monopoly like this very rarely turns out to be good.

@Bdbrady yeah, thay was my thoughts... it's super good looking, crazy good even, but what does the player actually have control of? How much of that was scripted? I do like me some good looking games, but it does need to be fun

I really like xbox. Ive been part of the community since the original Live Beta with MotoGP.

But I also really like my PS5 and Switch. Everyone is eating good right now. Xbox, Sony and Nintendo fans. Just enjoy it for what it is without belittling the competition. Channel your inner Phil.

@Chaudy if I want a game, I buy it. Then I play it. Then I wait for another game I want to play, or play something I already own that I haven't got around to starting. There is a substantial backlog for PS4/5 that I still need to get around to. Lots of things I either picked up in a sale, or was gifted etc.

This isn't a new concept. This is what happened for about 30 years prior to GP existing.

@Ihavenomouthandimust that's a bit narrow minded, don't you think? I bought mine for the games I wanted to play there, with the mates who also use the system. Just in the same way that I've been playing my XSX more recently (Halo), and my Switch the month before (Shin Megami). I go where the fun is. Nothing to do with hype or brand. If you don't like the platform, just enjoy what you enjoy.

@Chaudy what an odd observation. They do what most other console owners do. They just play games. You don't have to buy a new game every few days when you want to play something.

@Tharsman agreed. It was around 2013 that I completely fell out of love with Xbox. It took nearly the whole generation for me to get back on board. The choices they made, the entertainment nonsense, having Usher on stage... I shudder remembering it.

Can confirm; electrical devices serve as decent heat mats. I kept my pet tarantula on top of my VCR for about 3 years, and she was fine.

Damn great trilogy. I'm just miffed that I've replayed them all recently on my Micro. Like @Royalblues said though, the DS games need to come back in some capacity. Harmony, Dawn, and Portrait cost an absolute blooming fortune.

I got mine from lik-sang... I got stung by import charges as well at the point of delivery. Still, great times! I've still got mine upstairs in mothballs.

@TheGrizMan but... I wouldn't have? The publisher has got nothing to do with it. I love Bethesda, and Arkane. My XSX is chocked full of their releases.

To me the game just looks dull. I'm not pre-ordering or buying it, because the various showings have done nothing to tickle my pickle. It's really as simple as that. You don't need to make an issue where there isn't one.
