With the hundreds of games that are now available on Xbox Game Pass, it's inevitable that some of them get lost in the shuffle over time, especially if they're not major AAA releases from big publishers. Generation Zero, however, seems to be finding a bit of a new audience lately on the platform, at least according to our recent observations.

We've been seeing posts on social media over the past couple of months from Game Pass subscribers who are just discovering the game for the first time, with some people blown away by how much fun they're having with it.

Despite all the positivity, if you dig a little deeper, you'll find some negative opinions on Generation Zero as well. For every "underrated gem" comment, there's another one talking about the game being a little underwhelming:

It's a bit of a mixed bag of opinions, then, so if you're intrigued, we encourage you to try it for yourself! The game recently added its Dark Skies update back in late October, so even if you haven't played Generation Zero in a while, it might be worth adding it to your download list over the winter period.

For those who don't know anything about the game, here's a brief description:

"Sweden. 1989. When the residents of Östertörn wake to find robots on the rampage, winning becomes living. Alone or with up to three friends, sneak, scavenge and shoot your way to safety across a vast, varied landscape that is as intriguing as it is deadly."
