Re: Microsoft's 'This Is An Xbox' Ad Evolves As Holiday Marketing Ramps Up

@Bob_Tempura 100% agree. If Microsoft want to put games elsewhere then OK… I guess… but those things aren’t an Xbox. It’s killed the brand. At least push the hardware and say ‘our console is the best place to play, but if you are elsewhere then play our games there too.’

I love having Microsoft studio games on PS5 (and PC) but that’s because I sold my Series X when they went multiplatform.

Just go software and be done with it. Just limping on now imo.

Re: Roundup: Here's What The Reviews Are Saying About Battlefield 6

@OldGamer999 I hear you but the campaigns are pretty much a tutorial and tech demo in these games. It’s all about the MP. I’ve got it pre-loaded and can’t wait.
That being said I have really enjoyed COD WW2, Cold War and new Black Ops campaigns. BOps campaign was actually better than the MP.

Re: Report: BioShock Remake Cancelled As Upcoming Sequel Hits Development Troubles

x3King84

Playing Bioshock on my Steam Deck this week actually. In no way needs a remake. I believe all the games are 60fps on console too with the trilogy always dirt cheap. Like people say, Infinite was deemed ‘lesser’ when it came out but the game is stunning and more appreciated now.
And no I don’t believe Ken Levine was involved as he is making his unofficial Bioshock game called ‘Judas.’

Re: Reaction: Xbox Games Showcase 2025 Was Just OK, But Next Year Should Be Amazing

x3King84

It was OK. Clockwork Revolution looks a must play to me.

COD looks bland and I suspect a poor seller. Looks like they are just recycling the popular ‘Black Ops’ moniker rather than it being a Black Operations type game like the last 2.

Sounds like 2026 could be incredible if they do Gears, Halo and Forza. That will be like the golden era again. Crazy to think they will be on PS5.

Re: 'Huge' Number Of People Cancelling DOOM Pre-Orders Over 'Botched Physical Release'

My opinion for what it is worth is that it is time to move on from the waste of discs and boxes. We are now in this awkward era of discs with little to no data on them and endless patches. Physical is an illusion in AAA gaming in 2025. I’m happy to buy and download and play and enjoy and delete until or if I want to play again. Really no drama. That’s just me.

“You own nothing.” I own the experience I had playing and enjoying the game. That’s cool enough. I don’t care that it doesn’t gather dust in my house for 20 years.

Let’s just enjoy the games.

Re: Xbox Handheld Gets Leaked, First Photos And Details Revealed

@OldGamer999 didn’t you buy a PS5 Pro for the best part of a bag of sand?
Things are expensive and the companies are not charities.
Unfortunately the day of the cheap console has gone. Especially if you want all 3.
People want better and better games and frame rates and ray tracing and it costs.

Re: Xbox Achieves Record-Breaking Results In Latest Earnings Report

I was disappointed when Xbox dropped exclusives and headed full slate. I’m in the UK and felt the Series X was a wonderful console but became neglected so I pulled out for PC and PS5. So I can see why console fans may be disappointed.
Microsoft do seem seem to have this nailed though and clearly the numbers speak for themselves and the buzz around Xbox games on PS5 is nuts. I double dipped in both Forza and Indy. Keep them coming!

Re: Indiana Jones 'Selling Faster' On PS5 Than Xbox & Steam, Says Analysis

x3King84

@themightyant from a third party publisher point of view it makes some sense (lot of outlay for the IP) but has led to the death of Xbox console. That might have happened anyway. We don’t know. What I do know is that I sold my XSX (I’m in UK) as I knew it was circling the drain and PS5 was a safer bet for my library. From a PS5 point of view, Microsoft gaming is amazing, from a former Xbox console owner point of view, it’s a bit depressing.
Microsoft Gaming is killing it though. Great games on all the platforms in due course.
There is some push-back on PUSH but the numbers speak for themselves… take out the fanboy and ‘no disc, no buy’ nonsense of the gaming ultras, the casual gamers are lapping up the games… SoT, Forza, Indy… winner.

Re: Indiana Jones 'Selling Faster' On PS5 Than Xbox & Steam, Says Analysis

@dskatter do you wholly own games now though? Virtually all games have multiple large patches and updates and the disc more and more is a licence key.
I understand people like to collect and feel they own but it’s dying out.
Why miss out on good games due to ‘no disc, no buy.’ In a few years you wont have a choice. I’m not saying that is a good thing, I’m saying that will be fact. I’m cool with it. It’s fine. Steam been that way forever.
Even if I had tonnes of PS2 discs say, I’d wouldn’t play them. Times change. I want new games. A few quid to ‘own’ a digital game for at least 10 years is hardly a problem. Just my opinion and I respect yours.
