Last month, Forza Horizon 5's PS5 debut marked the first of Xbox's 'big three' franchises to move over, and despite the transition feeling a little weird to us here at PX HQ, fans have clearly been enjoying the game a lot over on PlayStation. Naturally though, we've been thinking more about what this all means for the sequel - given we've had access to FH5 on Xbox for over three years at this point.
About 18 months ago now, I took to the Pure Xbox airwaves to talk about how I wanted Forza Horizon 6 to shake things up for the series, and after dipping back into Playground Games' latest effort, I still very much feel that way more than a year on from writing it. Forza Horizon 5 is a great open-world racer, it just feels a little derivative - especially here and now in 2025.
