Hellblade 2 Announced For PS5 Alongside 'Enhanced' Edition On Xbox

No stopping MS this year!
We have not even seen their Switch 2 line up yet

Maybe the enhancement is actual gameplay!!

I haven't played it yet because I'm still waiting for a 60fps patch. I hope this is it.

Called it. HB2 is STILL 30FPS over a year later so they had to be waiting to push the patch alongside the port. Sad that Xbox gamers have to wait so long for 1st-party games to be at current standards just for them to be multiplat so PS gamers get to experience 60FPS day 1. Hopefully the enhanced update has us remove the movie bars so I can start my 2nd playthrough.

@xxk7xx as someone with both XSX and PC I can confirm the experience is far, far better at 60fps. Hopefully they do add a performance mode in for XSX via this update.

I haven't played it yet since they never released a physical copy.

Being extremely linear, it was fine as it was on Series X with VRR, even though I usually complain about 30fps. I'm curious about those enhancements, maybe optional aspect ratio and video modes, with a 60fps mode in lower resolution.

@M20B25 Same here. Hopefully it’ll get one alongside the PlayStation launch. That’s one thing I respect about a lot of Team Blue’s hardcore userbase, they appreciate physical media.

All the same, if whoever was in charge of the ‘physical’ releases (and I use that term loosely…) for Indy and DoomDA is stupid enough to screw over fans by withholding disc data and forcing internet downloads, I wouldn’t hold my breath for a smaller game like HB2.

@Cakefish @xxk7xx Maybe the developers decided to upgrade to a later version of UE5 with actual multi-threading and open the possibility of 60fps on console.

The only surprise about this is the fact its taken this long to announce it. I expected this on PS5 sooner as I don't think it 'sold' well or had the reach a 'niche' style of game/experience needs/deserves as well as the fact the first was on PS too.

I honestly thought this would have been one of the next games on PS after they announced the first 4 (SoT, Grounded etc) and was more surprised to see FH5 and AoE2 releasing before it...

This is excellent news. Whilst not a game for everyone, at least there is an option for PlayStation gamers to experience it, if they want to.

Should be sold for £20 since it's basically a five hour interactive movie.

I will Actually give it a shot at 60fps if they add.

Loved the first but this just didn't land as well for me. The sound design was amazing again but it was a (thankfully short) slog.

Crazy to think that soon the best way to play an Xbox Studio game will be on the PS5 Pro.

I like my ps5 but man most of the time i play ps4 games or remasters. I realized I have beat all ps5 gen sony games that I was interested in except some 3rd party stuff like stellar blade.
If you are more of an active gamer - xbox+gp is way more solid especially with coming $80 games.
Just imagine buying all these MS games on ps5 this year lol. They gonna publish 10+ games on ps5 vs sony publishing only 2 this year - what a joke

@Dr_ENT I don't think that's possible if it runs under 1080p and just 30fps on Xbox series x.
4k 60fps will probably be next gen and by then who cares! Ha

The game is horrible.

I bet PS5 is getting a disc version, to show the middle finger for XBox fans.
But in this case, I can actually deal with it.
I didn't play and suppose, I won't.
The Gears of War story is a way harder thing, I still can't believe.
