Xbox Handheld Gets Leaked, First Photos And Details Revealed

We've been waiting to hear from Xbox and ASUS about this upcoming Xbox handheld device for 2025, and it looks like they've been beaten to the punch by a leak via the FCC, revealing a couple of photos and some initial details.

As reported by VideoCardz, ASUS is set to reveal two new ROG Ally models in the near future, including one that very clearly has an Xbox button on the left-hand side. This is believed to be the Xbox handheld (otherwise known as "Project Keenan") and you can see a couple of images of it down below.

Keep in mind these are some pretty scruffy images, but they're the best we have for now!

The other ROG Ally device is believed to be the standard "ROG Ally 2", but the report suggests that the Xbox handheld will actually be more powerful - featuring a Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor with 8 cores and a TDP of 36W, complete with 64GB of LPDDR5-8533 memory.

This is still early days and you should never take leaks as 100% fact, but considering some of this information is coming from the FCC, it's certainly looking pretty legit. It's noted that ASUS seems likely to announce both of these devices at Computex 2025, which takes place during the week commencing May 19th.

The release date for the Xbox handheld has been predicted as June 2025, but this is not a guarantee. The prediction is based on the past two ROG Ally devices launching in June of their respective years - hopefully it happens again!
