If you directly compare it to something like EA Play then it's really not good value for money even if you don't get it through gamepass. Then if you directly compare it to Gamepass or even Playstation Plus Premium it's even worse value.
@Techno92LFC It's not that FIFA don't want them to it's because they raised the fee for the licence by a lot from the sounds of everything and FIFA thought they would pay it or there would be no game. When all the FIFA name gets them is the name itself and the World Cup everything else EA has licenced from the other individual leagues and continental governing bodies like UEFA as well as some individual teams. So overall very little will be removed from the games.
Started Soul Hackers 2 yesterday and there sure is a lot of dialogue early on but I am not hating it so far it definitely fits in between the SMT and Persona games just maybe not up to their higher standards.
None as I rarely if ever buy games on Xbox these days just primarily use Gamepass then maybe pick up an older game when a deal is on that's incredibly low.
Won't lie because of Gamepass and Microsoft rewards not only have I picked up very few games on Xbox I also haven't paid for Gamepass in nearly a year and and am currently subscribed until the middle of next year without paying a penny. I tend to spend my money on games on Switch and PlayStation as a result since I know I will get to play all first party Xbox games day one with out paying.
While I was a fan of the Project Gotham games I would still have to go for Simpsons Hit and Run as it was the best Simpsons game ever made and could arguable be improved with a modern remaster the other two maybe not as much.
How can you have no idea if a story about you is true especially if you were supposed to be there at the time? I get he is using this as an example and isn't saying that's an event that happened but if you were there when something happened you would know if a story about it was true or not.
If you plan on always staying subscribed to Gamepass I don't see a need to ever buy a first party game again or games from studios they buy only third party ones and indie titles would be worth buying if they have any replay value long term as many probably play the game once and have no reason to go back because they have already seen and experienced it all. That's why I think the likes of EA and Sony have it right by not adding their big new releases day one so they can get sales beforehand from those that really want to play it. It also says a lot if people are using gamepass to try a game before buying it on a different system instead.
Breaking news the more powerful console is in fact more powerful. Although that alone isn't the reason most people will buy a system if one has more of a selection of games that aren't available else where it has more of a chance of selling more even if the performance isn't as good overall. Most don't obsess about that as long as they have fun playing it.
Can't really say anyone should be surprised that a system that everyone knew was more powerful was actually going to show that though. If history has taught us anything the most powerful system on paper isn't always the best seller.
@Tangerine with the launch of the most of their content will also be coming off of things like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Now TV so it will get to the point where in order to keep up with all of the latest shows it will be just as expensive as having a standard TV service like Sky or Virgin Media
I am going to wait a while to claim it after the first season of Strange New Worlds and Halo are on there. I tried out the free trail and right now there isn't much on there and some of the shows are missing the vast majority of the seasons because they are still tied to either broadcast channels or other streaming services. Also with this and Disney+ they have pretty much killed the stuff Sky shows on their movie channels. Before if you wanted to go to a place with a great selection of movies after their cinema release you could just get a one month pass on Now TV now though you have to subscribe to loads of different services to keep up slowly starting to catch up in price with a standard Sky or Virgin Media package.
@dsar9012 I don't hate any system I own all current ones and enjoy games on them all. You are the one assuming a simple statement is trolling because you are defensive over a single system so much, You are also the one throwing around insults calling everyone a fanboy because you don't like what they are saying. My advice is don't scream fanboy at everyone while acting like one and using childish insults.
Only thing I don't like about it is it is essential just going to be full of micro transactions because its a free to play model and obviously as a result on competitive online play only. It's like football games don't think anyone want a decent single player or local multi player experience anymore and it's all about getting you to pay for virtual items that will be redundant the following year.
@dsar9012 damage control I'm simply saying not all games need to come out on every system why does that offend you so much. The fact you resort to calling them a childish name show this offends you for some reason.
Not every third party release has to come to every system or right away. It's like the meltdown people were having with the Persona games being announce on Xbox first and not being instantly announced on everything else qt the exact same time. Here we are a couple of weeks later and those in meltdown look silly for over reacting.
World record other than the standard size system was there really any other competition to be bigger? It not really a world record when no one else is competing to try to do it. Plus you have to pay them to even acknowledge it in the first place.
This is the problem with announcing games years before they release to try and build hype as often showing a game too early in development can mean showing a game that doesn't actually look like what it will do when closer to completion. Take Halo Infinite as an example they shown that at such an early stage that it really wasn't ready to be shown. Some games get announced way too early which is often why they need to try and keep that hype with brief trailers over the period.
@UltimateOtaku91 i would imagine if there story missions in certain locations those planets won't be randomised and will be a set design. Depending on how the rest of the game is designed if it's a shared universe or unique to each person's save file I would imagine the non story based planets will be generated the first time you enter their orbit or something.
Was surprised when I had a message pop up on my phone not too long ago saying I had £8 in my account as I rarely give it a second thought. Might finally pick up the Witcher 2 and 3 and pay the 73p difference since I have never really played them and only really played the original years ago.
He says in the video "just wide open fields as far as the eye can see" and that is the problem currently from what people have seen is those wide open fields are empty. I get there are still months to go but unless there are a lot of different things to do in those wide open fields then it could possibly just be space for the sake of giving Sonic somewhere fast to run through to get to the next objective. Perhaps a character who is known for his speed and doing everything fast isn't suited to a big open world where you have to usually slow down and explore.
@Fishticon sounds broken if the reason people are employed isn't taken advantage of. Essentially all they are doing is employing people to see of the game turns on. Seems like an expensive waste of time.
I did try out on or two games and noticed the input lag it was very annoying on the platform games as it made timing jumps so much harder. Still baffles me how the ones testing these games don't pick up on it. I often wonder what testing games involves if it isn't to check such things like this and bugs and glitches what do those people do?
Why would they of they know they are still going to make more money realising them normally? People are already starting to get very entitled to having every game on day one as part of a subscription service and not having to pay for it. As a result unless you have a big game every month people start complaining they aren't getting value for money despite the hundreds of other games on these services. Games take a very long time to make now and it these services shouldn't be your only way of playing games if you only want the latest games without having to pay.
I think it's crazy to even be suggesting consoles that can do 8K when most people don't even have 4K yet and there is very little regular tv content that even takes advantage of even 4K for the vast majority or people to consider it. Gaming seems to be the main thing that is trying to push resolutions too high and too fast for consumers to keep up with. Doesn't help that most people will still be gaming on base Xbox One's and PS4's in the next couple of years because of supply issues.
Seeing as most games are still targeting the base Xbox One and PS4 still and it will probably be just as slow the next couple of years getting a Series X or PS5 releasing pro versions would saturate the market and have games either releasing that don't use the new hardware well or games that don't run on the lower powered hardware in any reasonable state.
Why I don't get is how Microsoft makes much money with game pass full stop as just doing the rewards every month you can easily get enough every month to never pay for it. Im all for a game service like it but I still wonder how much they are subsidising it themselves trying to get as may people to use the ecosystem and spend their money on smaller transactions rather than the games.
Never understand why people who don't like things means they have to be so verbally aggressive towards people who get enjoyment out of the same thing. It works the other way too with people who like stuff telling others they are wrong for not liking it. I think it comes down to people feeling their personal opinion of stuff is some kind of fact and they don't understand the difference between the two. I would like to think this is younger people who know no better too but the sad reality is many adults 40+ still act this way
I wouldn't claim that as a success in any regards as it is only because you couldn't get a PS5 not because more people suddenly wanted one. It's like winning a football match because the other team didn't turn up but you over celebrate anyway.
Even though this isn't an announcement of a Fifa 2k game I pretty much expect them to be the ones to get the licence since they aren't exactly too different to EA and they have a reputation of releasing yearly sports games. The only other would have been Konami but they look to not be as interested in yearly releases anymore. If it means there is another big football game on the market it may at least entice others to do so with other sports where there is now usually only room for one on the market.
@mousieone more than likely they are just listing some key titles more than anything for now. As I said you don't have to renew a contract for a game that had already been paid for up until a certain dateI can imagine it's only sorting out the new contracts for stuff and maybe wanting to keep some stuff as a surprise rather than publishing a list of 700+ games weeks before it goes live.
@mousieone maybe a few contacts but the vast majority of them I can't see being removed as they would have been paid for in advance until any previous contract expires so the publishers won't be losing out on funds.
