Why would they of they know they are still going to make more money realising them normally? People are already starting to get very entitled to having every game on day one as part of a subscription service and not having to pay for it. As a result unless you have a big game every month people start complaining they aren't getting value for money despite the hundreds of other games on these services. Games take a very long time to make now and it these services shouldn't be your only way of playing games if you only want the latest games without having to pay.
I think it's crazy to even be suggesting consoles that can do 8K when most people don't even have 4K yet and there is very little regular tv content that even takes advantage of even 4K for the vast majority or people to consider it. Gaming seems to be the main thing that is trying to push resolutions too high and too fast for consumers to keep up with. Doesn't help that most people will still be gaming on base Xbox One's and PS4's in the next couple of years because of supply issues.
Seeing as most games are still targeting the base Xbox One and PS4 still and it will probably be just as slow the next couple of years getting a Series X or PS5 releasing pro versions would saturate the market and have games either releasing that don't use the new hardware well or games that don't run on the lower powered hardware in any reasonable state.
Why I don't get is how Microsoft makes much money with game pass full stop as just doing the rewards every month you can easily get enough every month to never pay for it. Im all for a game service like it but I still wonder how much they are subsidising it themselves trying to get as may people to use the ecosystem and spend their money on smaller transactions rather than the games.
Never understand why people who don't like things means they have to be so verbally aggressive towards people who get enjoyment out of the same thing. It works the other way too with people who like stuff telling others they are wrong for not liking it. I think it comes down to people feeling their personal opinion of stuff is some kind of fact and they don't understand the difference between the two. I would like to think this is younger people who know no better too but the sad reality is many adults 40+ still act this way
I wouldn't claim that as a success in any regards as it is only because you couldn't get a PS5 not because more people suddenly wanted one. It's like winning a football match because the other team didn't turn up but you over celebrate anyway.
Even though this isn't an announcement of a Fifa 2k game I pretty much expect them to be the ones to get the licence since they aren't exactly too different to EA and they have a reputation of releasing yearly sports games. The only other would have been Konami but they look to not be as interested in yearly releases anymore. If it means there is another big football game on the market it may at least entice others to do so with other sports where there is now usually only room for one on the market.
@mousieone more than likely they are just listing some key titles more than anything for now. As I said you don't have to renew a contract for a game that had already been paid for up until a certain dateI can imagine it's only sorting out the new contracts for stuff and maybe wanting to keep some stuff as a surprise rather than publishing a list of 700+ games weeks before it goes live.
@mousieone maybe a few contacts but the vast majority of them I can't see being removed as they would have been paid for in advance until any previous contract expires so the publishers won't be losing out on funds.
If it was tied to the old disc then wouldn't that mean people could be selling loads of discs that no longer work to stores flooding the used market with games that no longer work? That would make it a nightmare getting a hold of some games to begin with to be able to convert them to a digital format in that way.

Re: Xbox Throws Major Shade At Claims Of 'Game Pass Burnout'
Major shade? More like a childish response and shaming people that enjoy bigger budget games.

Chances are the vast majority of the games that are already on PS Now will migrate over anyway unless they were due to expire before then.
