The real scumbaggery here is that they gimped xp so as not to 'overwhelm and confuse' players then opted to sell a solution to an issue they caused, disgusting.
@Krzzystuff I definitely think it was Square over CD that decided this. They forced MTX into Deus Ex against the devs will. I'd wager this is more of the same.
Not even a horror game but a weird stealth game called Echo on PS4. Basically, all the enemies are AI that look like you and they learn and mimic everything you do. No idea why it got to me but I ended up in a roomful of clones trying to strangle me because they'd seen me do it and it absolutely freaked the hell out of me. Deleted!!!
Think I'll grab GTA IV. Loaned out my disc copy years ago and never got it back and I own Lost and Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony but I never got around to playing either. Better late than never!
@Darylb88 Thanks mate. I watched a Digital Foundry video based on the 1.23 patch earlier today and they pretty much said the same thing. Stable framerate was my main concern so I'm happy with that. Think I'll finally buy it.
@JON22 Wow, that sounds terrible. I can honestly say I've never had anything that you describe happen to my game with hundreds of hours played both solo and co-op.
@JON22 Have you tried it recently? I play BL3 on Series S quite regularly and never have any crashing issues with it. The stuttering was really bad after the crossplay update though. That was fixed a month or so ago.
@Vinsanity Out of those I'd say Double Agent is the most stealthy of the bunch. It's definitely the most traditional SC of those. Conviction is more of an action game and Blacklist has no idea what it wants to be.
@FriendlyOctopus Silent Hill Downpour is already BC mate.
As mentioned by others I'd love to see JSRF make the list as the 360 BC for that game is pretty broken. PGR series too but I guess the car and soundtrack licences would be a nightmare.
I'd really like to see Dark Souls 2 get added too, it's quite a different game than the SotFS version that came to XBO.
@NEStalgia You're probably right there. I honestly wouldn't know about Switch tbh, it's a system I forget even exists at times as I pay no attention to it whatsoever.
@John117 Not even close mate. Xbox is getting more JRPG's than ever before for certain which is great to see but Playstation is still the go to place for them, it's leagues ahead.
XCloud could really take off for MS over there. Mobile gaming is huge and they have the internet structure to take advantage of it. Hope it helps them get the foothold they're looking for in Japan.
That's a solid month. No interest in Castlevania but I always fancied Hover just never got around to buying it, so no excuse now. Code Veronica is a classic and Aaero is surprisingly good, I have it on PS4 but I'll gladly play it again. Happy days!
@tudsworth That's sort of the point. MS even advertised it as giving the ability to play XCloud Series X|S games through the browser to XBO owners that have GP Ultimate.
@UltimateOtaku91 I played it on PS4 Pro and it was a stunner to look at on there. Unfortunately I haven't got a PS5 yet but I look forward to playing it again and seeing it at it's full potential when I manage to get one!
Hopefully it does come to Xbox so more people get to play this little gem. Don't let that cutesy look kid you though, the game is no pushover. Just finished my Master difficulty playthrough this morning and it's absolutely brutal at times.
Loved the Titanfall 2 campaign but Fallen Order is absolutely abysmal. From it's wooden combat and janky platforming to the absolute worst map I've ever seen in a game along with woeful level design. That game is a shocker.
@John117 It's a great game, easily one of the best sandboxes Ubi have made imo. That said, the best characters to play are all DLC. You can definitely have fun with the be anyone aspect but Wrench, Mina and Darcy are the most fun to use, unfortunately they're locked behind the season pass.
I'm still amazed it actually got released on a Nintendo console but Killer7 takes the GameCube top spot for me, closely followed by Skies of Arcadia Legends.
@MaccaMUFC Control Ultimate Edition includes the X|S upgraded version. If you buy the specific X|S version you only get that. The Ultimate Edition doesn't have Smart Delivery but gives you 2 versions of the game. XBO and X|S.
@Dezzy70 I hear that resource and time thing a lot where remasters are concerned but I've never heard of a single game that didn't get made because of a remaster. More often than not they're done by support devs or different devs entirely.
In this case specifically Remedy are known to be making Control 2, they're making a multiplayer game set in that universe and possibly Alan Wake 2. If this remaster sells well and makes money then it's beneficial to them financially. I see no downside.
@Dezzy70 Why let it bother you? You're still getting new games regardless of remastered ones. This game like many other remasters are actually new to some people. Ten years ago plenty of people were 7 or 8 and now they get to play this game for the first time.
@Bobbycuckoo Nailed it! I have no idea how R* get away with it. They make some of the best worlds and characters in all of gaming but their movement and combat systems are archaic.
@Spiders It's interesting that you mention Bayonetta as that game has an automatic setting that basically plays the game for you. It also has items that make you 100% invincible regardless of the difficulty you play on. Do those things lessen the game for you?
To my mind, Team Little Angels/Platinum Games made a game that completely realised their vision while not excluding anyone from playing their game and seeing the credits run. More games should be like this.
@uptownsoul My point was that the Souls games are easy if you want them to be so why not give them difficulty options, that way anyone can see the credits roll without having to spend an age on a Souls wiki. They can just press play on easy, smash enemies to bits and have fun doing it. I don't see any harm in that.
Games like Ninja Gaiden and DMC are far more difficult than any Souls game (imo) yet Team Ninja and Capcom don't have issue with adding easy modes so players of all skill levels can enjoy their games.

Re: Here Are Your Xbox Games With Gold For November 2021
Decent month. Really happy with the 360 offerings.
Re: Xbox Fans Are Spotting More Potential New Backwards Compatible Games
Oof. The Last Templar is a truly awful game. If true that's some serious waste of resources.
Re: Xbox Fans Are Spotting More Potential New Backwards Compatible Games
@Thelastjedi2007 You can still buy Jet Set Radio from the marketplace and play it via BC. Worth it for the soundtrack alone!
Re: Random: Xbox One Owner Somehow Gets Fly Stuck In The Power Button
Man those things can get inside of anything, I have one of those tiny bast*rds stuck inside the front lightbar of a Dualshock 4 controller.
Re: Deals: 300+ Games Included In This Week's Xbox Sales (October 26 - November 2)
@Bobobiwan Hah, good call on waiting for the announcement! I already bolted but I won't moan over £7 spent if it does hit GwG lol.

Re: Xbox Is Reportedly Working On A 'Wu-Tang Clan' Action-RPG
Hmmm, had me interested until "rich endgame", that sets off alarm bells. GaaS alarm bells.

Chaos Theory
OG SC
Conviction
Pandora Tomorrow
Double Agent
Blacklist
Re: Poll: Are You Buying GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition?
Nope. San Andreas is the only one I wanted to play so I'm more than happy it's coming to GP.
Re: Woah, GTA: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition Is Coming To Game Pass
San Andreas is the only one I wanted to play. Happy days!
Re: Deals: Xbox Shocktober Sale Now Live, 200+ Games Included
Might cash in £10 points and grab Cyberpunk for £23. Anyone know how it plays on Series S?
@Deadcow Can't go wrong for that price, it's a really enjoyable game. Sadly the servers are closed now so one achievement is unobtainable.
Re: Forza Horizon 5 Pre-Install Now Available, 100GB+ On All Platforms
@JoakimZ More duplicate assets, SSD speeds can access them faster so require less assets than mechanical drives.
Re: Xbox Game Pass Continues Impressive Growth, But Misses Yearly Target
@Royalblues GP has been around for over 4 years and unlike Mixer it has an active userbase. It won't be going anywhere.
Re: Ubisoft Is Reportedly Working On A New Mainline Splinter Cell Game
Can't wait to buy sticky shockers and night vision goggles in the store.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Could Be Adding New Backwards Compatible Games This November
@byngo123 Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification.
Re: Rumour: Xbox Could Be Adding New Backwards Compatible Games This November
@byngo123 Silent Hill Downpour isn't disc only BC. I have a digital copy and it's available as a download in my owned games list on Series S.

@FriendlyOctopus Not gonna lie, three paragraphs in and all I was thinking is this guy @Flurbdurb is completely baked.
Re: Aaero Is Well Worth A Download With Xbox Games With Gold This Month
I have zero idea how or why you think this is the least visually enticing GWG game. It's visually stunning.

Re: Six More Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (September 30)
@John117 Hah, fair point. Well you've got a good bunch to choose from right now on Game Pass. There's a nice range of stuff to go at on there.
Re: Six More Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (September 30)
@John117 Not even close mate. Xbox is getting more JRPG's than ever before for certain which is great to see but Playstation is still the go to place for them, it's leagues ahead.

Re: Silent Hill 2, One Of The Greatest Horror Games Of All Time, Is Now 20 Years Old
@Krysus No, nothing like that. They were just bad remasters. There are audio sync problems, shoddy framerates and SH2 had no fog effects.
Re: Xbox Is Allowing You To 'Bring Back' Your Old Xbox 360 Gamerpic
Never changed mine. Jet Set Radio's Gum is a keeper!

Darksiders 1 and 2 remasters for me. A few pennies under £8 for both games is an absolute bargain. Sold!
