There are 25 million GP subs without CoD being on the service. I highly doubt everyone will suddenly stop playing indies when those ActiBlizz games eventually get added.

@iplaygamesnstuff They did for a short while. Odyssey Ultimate Edition went up to £34 from it's usual sale price of £28. Same thing happened with Dark Souls 3 when MS gave it the FPS boost treatment. It didn't last long until they dropped it back though.

@iplaygamesnstuff Well Ubi only announced the possibility of a 60fps update in December so it might be a while before it happens. I could see the sale price rising if they do patch it though.

@iplaygamesnstuff Yeah AC Origins is on sale every other week. I could be mistaken but I think that the current £19.99 price is the lowest it's been for the complete package. It was actually in the Lunar sale at the same time as the Ubi sale but for £24.

Great news. Mapping it to achievements will be perfect. I have screen shots and DVR disabled so it's kinda useless to me right now.

Cashed in £10 of reward points and put them towards that version of AC Origins with all the DLC so it only cost me £9.99, hopefully they get the 60fps update out for it soon.

@LtSarge I put a new HDD in my PS3 in December and reinstalled the game and patches with no issues whatsoever. Took about an hour. The problem was when the game had dozens of small patches. Now it has around 6 total iirc.

@LtSarge I play GT6 regularly on PS3. The patching issue was fixed about 8 years ago. The only part that's unplayable is online races as the servers have been turned off.

Contrast is a brilliant little game. Really good one to save for the next 10K reward points or use it for the daily 50 points. Short game with very easy achievements.

@Tharsman I'd guess MS simply didn't want the headache all over again. This is the third time Bungie have been acquired. Clearly they don't play well with others.

@uptownsoul I agree with your logic. MS will keep Warzone on PS and Sony will keep Destiny on Xbox. Two F2P games.

Anything else will go exclusive. CoD campaign stuff (post Sony agreements) and anything Bungie make that isn't Destiny will get platform locked.

@antstephenson Yeah PGR had the best gameplay loop and physics model of any arcade racer I've played. I just wish that MS would resurrect it with a remaster to test the market for a revival or just find a way to get it into the BC catalogue. It's sad to see such an amazing series left on the vine.

@Dusk_Actual Yes mate, it was meant to be an episodic trilogy but got canned after part one. I think it was released on PS4 and PC only. Xbox was supposed to get it but the whole thing was pretty much DOA.

@FraserG Yeah, Hydrophobia was part of the XBLA Game Feast promotion back in the day, along with Comic Jumper, Pinball FX2 and Super Meat Boy.

@antstephenson I honestly can't believe the PGR formula has never been taken up elsewhere. FH4 gave it homage in the racing game history story, DriveClub did it in a DLC pack, but how a studio hasn't said, F it, let's make a PGR clone is beyond me.

@Banjo- I'm not sure if you're trolling but a request of payment to a bank account is an invoice. You then receive a receipt with the details of the purchase, this is confirmation of the transaction.

As for not being legal. I have personally used a receipt to claim a refund from Sony for Afro Samurai 2 which was an episodic game pulled from sale by the developer. Sony were dragging their feet with EU refunds for the game and they constantly tried fobbing me off to get a refund from the developer, not them.

I took my complaint to Trading Standards and my receipt from Sony was used by them as a legal document confirming my purchase and holding them responsible for the refund.

@Banjo- Your claims are utter nonsense. Sony don't avoid giving invoices at all. They send you an invoice for every single transaction made on their store. It goes directly to the email address associated with your PSN ID.

A second invoice is logged to your Sony account and others go to your bank account and credit card company if you pay by card. They're time stamped, dated and have a transaction ID number on every one.

I wanted to like Fallen Order but between the wooden combat and janky platforming it never clicked for me. That woeful map didn't help much either. Hopefully the next game is better.

Blur, Diablo and THPS.

Sable shouldn't be on that list until it's actually playable at above 10fps. It runs like it's still in the alpha development stage. I played it on Series X and it rarely, if ever, hit anything even close to 30fps and often drops into single digits. I dread to think how it performs on the One S or the VCR Xbone.

Gets a respectable 8/10 from me. Never understood the negativity for the series tbh. They're all solid games, especially Legion. The London sandbox Ubi created is an absolute blast to just mess around in.

@BAMozzy That's sort of what I expect will happen. Warzone will remain on PS and future releases will be split, much like Halo is now. CoD MP will go F2P on Xbox/PS/PC with a campaign mode and perhaps zombies go exclusive on Xbox/PC and rolled into GP.

However it goes down, the traditional CoD experience will definitely not be on Sony's platform for much longer.

Blur back compat asap please, there's no excuse now. Bought a PS3 copy recently and the game is still amazing, playing it with a DualShock 3 isn't. I don't even want a Blur 2 because Bizarre Creations wouldn't be making it. Just give me Blur BC!

@PhhhCough I've heard good things about Switcher 3. Saber also helped 343i knock the MCC into shape. Seems this X|S port is in fairly good hands.

The DVR is next to useless. I can record 1 hour of 1080p footage on my almost 6yr old PS4 Pro but my Series X can barely muster a few minutes in any resolution. Sorely lacking.

Looking forward to it, really enjoyed what I played but decided to put it on hold until the update dropped.

@Banjo- CDPR aren't making the new gen port version of The Witcher 3. That's being done by Saber Interactive.

@MyThoughts31 That video doesn't represent the game well at all. It runs in 4K 60fps with lots of subtle improvements like per pixel lighting, ambient occlusion, antialiasing etc.

Thing to remember is it's a remaster, not a remake. There's a world of difference between the two.

@Royalblues I've always owned both systems ever since the OG Xbox/PS2 days but this is the first time I've opted to not buy Sony's latest. So far the PS5 has nothing to offer me. I'll probably buy one when they revise the form factor and make a smaller unit but for now I'm in no rush to get one.

Had a Series S since day one, I intended to use it as a second system and buy a PS5 eventually, ended up having the choice of a Series X or PS5 with the Xmas restocks and opted for the Series X. I'm mainly a multiplatform and indie gamer and Sony's main exclusive stuff so far doesn't appeal to me at all. Anything I would play is coming to PS4 anyway, still have my PS4 Pro for that.

MS have knocked it out of the park for me with stuff like The Ascent, The Artful Escape, Sable, Psychonauts 2, Narita Boy, Hades etc, all on GP. No regrets upgrading to the X and skipping PS5 whatsoever.

Just had a look at the achievement list, prepare to save scum for beating the game with zero deaths because you won't be doing it legitimately. It's been out for quite a while on PC so hopefully there's a collectible guide out there, I assume the new levels will have some that weren't in the original.

Brilliant news. Absolutely loved this back in the day on the N64, the opening scene with Moonlight Sonata playing really set the tone for what was to come. Such a great game.

Absolutely love Drinkbox Studio's stuff so I'll definitely be playing this. Been playing Severed by them recently, that game really needs to get ported to console, such a shame it only exists on Vita.

@Richnj Why PSA against Ubisofts work environment and business practices when your video game console was manufactured by Foxconn? The people making them work under far worse conditions than anyone at Ubisoft. I'm comfortable with it all, but you can't virtue signal against one and ignore the other.

@KilloWertz It was free on 360 for ages, that's how I got it as it's not really a game I'd buy. It also went free for a while on XBO when it got added to the BC list.

@dmcc0 Dante's Inferno would have either popped the quest for earning an achievement in any Game Pass title or contributed to the play x amount of GP titles quest as EA Play are classed as GP games. Another recent one was simply to play Dead Space.

Is The Witcher 2 no longer free? That was free on 360 and also XBone for a really long time.

@Chaudy I was asking because I always see people say Sony funded FF7R but nobody ever has anything to back it up, it's always anecdotal at best. Not having a pop at you btw, I've seen it said many times by many people, I just don't think it's true.

That's not to say Sony don't have lifetime console exclusivity, I mean Splinter Cell Conviction never went to another console beside the 360 and that baffles me too lol.

I know they promoted the game at E3, paid for some form of exclusivity and may have covered some advertising costs but I've yet to see a single shred of real evidence that they funded development for it in any way whatsoever.

Probably Y4 though I haven't played the remaster, I played the original on PS3. Might have picked Kiwami 2 (because Sayama Kauru is smoking hot lol) but they cut quite a lot of content from it compared to the original PS2 version. Adding clan creator did not make up for it.

@Jango-Forest Psychonauts is an OG Xbox game, none of those have achievements. Only games from the 360 onwards have them but for rewards as @PhhhCough said, the achievements have to be earned on XBO or Series games.
