Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 9-10)

Pusher2021

@aj102404 Sadly no but the "tennis gameplay" can be very enjoyable. Switch to Pro mode & it can be addictive at times. Never lost a set & only a few games on that setting but you can try a lot of things that way. I personally like the fact you can hit balls with a very sharp angle. The effort of the dev was put in the animations & gameplay (although far from perfect). Not an Achievement hunter but they stack up easily. Grandslam are like 7 rounds of 3 sets (to win) but you can save during your game anytime & play something else.

Re: Review: Matchpoint Tennis Championships - The Sport's First Xbox Game Pass Title

Pusher2021

Played the demo a lot on Pro mode & it can be very enjoyable if you like tennis. It's no TS4 but once you get used to the controls, the gameplay is ok. You can tell they had a tight budget & put their time/money on the right things & that's having fun in "playing tennis". No atmosphere & very bland/flat/almost non existent commentary, generic crowd, floating players, ...)
Had a weird online match though. My movement was slow (& a lot of lag; stuttering player + cursor missing a lot of times) while my opponent was quite fast. Also graphics quality dropped to ... worse! Played 3 in total & all had a low GS & played just 1 game (a lot of new players?)

Re: Hardware Review: PowerA Cuphead Ms. Chalice Controller - A Solid Pad With A Delightful Design

Pusher2021

If you’re playing on the couch people rather avoid wired controllers for obvious reason but know some people on Pc who don’t mind those, even have a wired mouse.
I like the design though & I wish that the big 3 implemented those backtriggers. I’m not always a big fan of the PS DS but I wouldn’t mind the DS technology on a Xbox controller. When done right it can add some immersion to the game (bad = gimmick).

Re: Review: Sniper Elite 5 - The Best Sniper Elite To Date And A Sure Shot For Game Pass

Pusher2021

Played some more missions & this game is big, MP big! Lots of paths, in & outs + a lot of good stuff really. The responsiveness of the buttons are so poor in picking up weapons & stuff, it doesn't immediately respond (like Uncharted) & it's buggy sometimes.

Edit: finished it and lowering the difficulty because of the lack of the buttons responsiveness in tight situations made it more enjoyable overall. 8 (!) achievements for the DLC (not free) is not a good either imo.

Re: PlayStation's Jim Ryan Continues To Dismiss Game Pass-Style Launches

Pusher2021

On the question in short:
I like to see how it plays out. Saying it’s in the best interest of the PS gamer? That’s a no, it’s in Sony’s interest. First party games make more money in their current system. I know several PS only player’s who would love to have a sort of GP sub for PS. The reality is they can’t afford that. MS had to do something bold but I’m not sure if this model will still work in 10 years when their studio’s are producing games on top tier level. Their war chest is not infinite. I’m not buying less games but play more games because of GP myself.

Re: Bethesda Delays Starfield And Redfall To First Half Of 2023

Pusher2021

Not a real surprise since we didn't have any gameplay stuff but I do hope this means that the game when released is polished as hell. Let us hope that we get to see some real surprises during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase set for June 2022!
Also some big Game Pass releases we didn't expected to get!

I get to play PS God of War Ragnarok & some NS games so my wallet/backlog will be thankful. But if you're on Xbox only it's definitely not good news. They saw how people reacted to the whole Halo stuff & probably setting their overall software goals on 2023

Re: Roundup: Here's What's Coming To Xbox In May 2022

Pusher2021

Looking forward to GP titles Trek to Yomi (really hope this is super good), Sniper Elite 5 and Pac-Man Museum+ (probably buy it if it's overall good (14 games?) + still love PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX 2)

Want to know more of:

Evil Dead: The Game (May 13)
Kao The Kangaroo (May 27)

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With May 2022's Xbox Games With Gold?

Pusher2021

Already owe Hydro Thunder Hurricane & Yoku’s Island Express (played VP) so maybe I'll check out The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk. Bought so many games during XBLA period & mostly played/owe the most Gold games. Happy for others but personally I would like an adjusted version of the Gold tier.

Re: Forza Motorsport 7 Is Already Being Compared To Gran Turismo 7

Pusher2021

Having missed a few few GT entries & favoured FM, GT is back, like in the old days back. GT1 vibes with huge memories. I like playing race games and GT has an unique vibe that makes it totally worth playing today. Circuit Superstars, Hotwheels Unleashed, Grid Legends, FM7, FH5, F1, Dirt 5, Project Cars 3, GT7, Horizon Chase Turbo Senna DLC, Rally Rush Origins & even RR3 on iPad, all have something unique imo (if you like race games). Playing GT7 with the DS is okay but not that remarable imo but the game gives me a whole blast from the past (sounds, replays, licenses, ...). It looks awesome! (Scapes are cool). You can only look forward to see the first gameplay of FM8 (+ new engine).

Re: The Coalition Is Working On Several Unannounced Projects, Says Aaron Greenberg

Pusher2021

Lots of people still going for Gears? Loved the first two but got the Gears fatique (did buy 3). Make some new IP's (PD is not new but welcome since so long ago & it's not a Remake/Remaster). I'm a big fan of Uncharted but I was glad they made some other titles. I'm ready for another spin-off. Also want a new Tomb Raider. And a big wish is some awesome dev who could make a well balanced Superman game, before I die
The Coalition is top quality

Re: Microsoft Confirms Plans For Activision Blizzard Games On PlayStation, Nintendo Switch

Pusher2021

Surprising since Sony ate them alive last generation, even buying a lot of timed exclusive games like Deathloop, Ghostwire Tokyo and also trying to get Starfield & keeping them off Xbox. Now MS is spending a lot of money and suddenly the rules have changed? So weird, even with the exclusive COD deals before ... Unless Sony is going to have to pay big bucks (more than usual) to get those multiplats or MS will try to turn COD into another great franchise but exclusive to Xbox? I wonder what their initial thoughts were when trying to obtain AB.

Re: Marvel's Avengers & Scarlet Nexus Now Support Xbox Play Anywhere

Pusher2021

@xMightyMatt14x I would give it an 6 out of 10, not bad but not overall good. There is some nice stuff to do so on that note I would recommend to try it. I played the PS4 version so I'm going to try the XSX verio myself and see if things got better. It is a huge download, had to make space for about 164GB (125GB game).
