Be able to put every cd on your HDD and playing your music of choice in a game is feature that I miss today.

Loved the Brothers In Arms series, PGR Series, RalliSport Challenge Series, Half Life 2, Max Payne Series, Prince of Persia Series, Splinter Cell Series, ... and so many other good games.

The Xbox Live experience, for example, with playing many, many Top Spin matches with some Scots from across the channel was a blast.

IIRC there also was a "get 2 games for free" for early adopters because they lowered the price soon after launch.

Mid-gen is just a waste of money imho!

It's almost weird that after the first TDU, that baseline, and the time that has passed since then, they couldn't make it to work, in creating the ultimate TDU.

And they need to back away from online only!

Astro Bot, simple, addictive, various gameplay features, fun, replayability with trying to 100% every world, while enjoying the music and the sounds!

It's a bit of a strange one imo but either way, the current console release isn't very good optimized so they still have a lot of work to do! With Sony devs being part of the game they probably called dibs on it? Don't let FOMO get you😉

I'm a sucker for everything Tetris. That tune lives in my head since the OG Game Boy. My wife took it one day, and left that GB at work for the next 2 years! She is not a fan of games but Tetris was like a drug to her.

And that Neva art style is yummie! Gris was awesome!

Bulletstorm was ridiculous/silly/over the top fun (the Clip Edition = Remastered edition). Pinstripe isn't bad either if you like the genre.

Makes sense, even First Party, Forza Motorsports 2023 had an huge amount memory leaks at launch (XSX). I still experience it with endurance races. Not the easiest problem to get rid off or to solve.

Could use the Reward points but I'll pass. Starfield had an OST but a digital artbook and cosmetics at this price is bit over the top imo! Also, a bad modus operandi!

I don't know if Spencer should leave, he just got a new book of rules from the top and he needs to follow them.

Overall they need to do some changes though. Revealing Indy for PS5 was a bit weird since they could wait and capitalize from the game being an exclusive. Who knows if it good bring some new players. On the other hand, the only reason they did do it, and this a maybe too far fetched, because if journo's see it releasing on PS, they wouldn't be so negative when reviewing the Xbox title. But a 6 months would've made more sense tbh.

MS is doing some weird stuff lately. The Xbox exclusive Towerborne turned into a Steam Limited Exclusive

Also, what's on MS wish list? Selling COD6 to as many PS players as possible or getting a whole bunch of new gamers subscribing to Game Pass?

MS/Spencer need to up their communication because they are all over the place. What's been said today can change tomorrow and vice versa!

Sony already doing PC versions more and more and they don't have a choice if they want to keep growing (especially when First Party titles are on a low).

Nintendo however, is a special one. I don't see a future where their first party go multi-platform tbh. Even if Sony or MS will copy them (plug and play hybrid), their franchises/characters are very unique/creative (even if it's the x Mario game). They do explore the Mobile market from time to time. A market that keeps growing apparently (not a fan myself but I do play some).

What I'm interested in though is how long it takes (and costs) to port a game from Xbox to PS5 for instance? Is it a special (small) team of the OG devs or do they outsource this?

This is a nice addition. Walking with all my gear got tiresome/time consuming when just exploring!

Excited for Atomfall since I first saw it! Also looking forward to play the new game mode on FH5!

@Kezelpaso Once they said it was exclusive the deal was done. Things like that don't change overnight. I agree that MS made the decision by seeing the sales of the already released games on PS5. As a business it even makes sense but (new) people will think twice before buying Xbox hardware imo

That's exactly what people will do. If you do it once, there's no reason to think they won't do it again.

I know MS will thrive because of this tactic because the PS base is too big to not to take into account. Non Game Pass subscribers will rethink what there main console will be though.

It's all about Game Pass! Porting games will pay for putting games on Game Pass. I think the incentive for (new) people to own an Xbox is gone when they don't have Game Pass & see MS porting first party titles.

I read some comments on Twitter and most had the perspective from having Game Pass & saying PS owners had to pay for those games while "they" could play it for "free". Forgetting there are still Xbox players who pay for their games and don't have Game Pass.

@Dimey That can be frustrating but it made me better at the (weird) drifting in this game. Glad it was a smaller part of the game tbh. Except with the DLC Winter bash which was more difficult? It's been a while since I played it. I like the drifting in FH5 a lot more and the 1 million challenge in one of the Seasons did the same thing.

The regular races on GL, I upped the difficulty, it's more fun that way.

Drifting in Inertial Drift felt more easy to name another title.

• GRID Legends: Deluxe Edition (with all DLC IIRC) is great if you like race games. The DLC was not all top notch but at this price point, who cares.
• Sniper Elite 4 Digital Deluxe Edition = also a recommend imho

Got it on PC back in the day (grrr that race piece) and played it again on OG Xbox. Got Mafia 2 on 360 and bought the Definitive Collection (1/2/3) on PS4/PS5 (didn't buy 3).

Now playing through it for the X time and still having fun. The story and set pieces are great in this Remake. Had no problems so far with the XSX version, so I'm truly enjoying myself and forgetting about time. There's some muscle memory so I can enjoy the little details more than before. Weird how your brain HDD sometimes works with information you don't really need

There are some dips but overall it has been good so far!

Forza Series (H & MS) I bought on release without a doubt. It always delivered after 3-6 months when it had problems at launch. Got burned on FM2023 though. FH Series is miles ahead and looking forward to the new game mode but my enthusiasm is a bit tempered tbh.

Definitely picking this one up. Reminds me of the Media Molecule creativity. The Plucky Squire and the new Astrobot are on the top of my list! (both Sept)

Like I said before, this is the last title I would expect to get a port to PS. It's one of their biggest flagship titles (and my go-to game) but If indeed so, then there is no need for Xbox anymore. The only way I would buy another MS console is when it will be able to play steam/GOG/Epic/etc. games. And if FH5 is going to PS, they might as well make everything multi-platform. Everybody happy, except the loyal hardcore Xbox gamers I think.

The money making is a sure thing but MS will alienate their customers at the same time when they only play on Xbox and see how well they support the PS5 with games. This port will be a big win for PS gamers!

Shinobi is a pretty reliable source but the "big" game must be one that's not a big seller on Xbox, so a FH5 is out of the question imho (wouldn't make any sense to me and is system suicide).
It would make a lot of money if it did though because there is no real competition there. Xbox only fans (with a space ) will go berserk if MS did that.

I played it first when it released on PC, then Xbox and later bought the Definitive Editions on PS5. The first one is a classic imho and probably play it again on XSX since it's not that long.

COD is numbers wise a special case and I do wonder what MS is able to do contract wise. They probably will not spill the milk on that. It was not before 2025 on GP and already there is a COD available. PS players only will only move if their friends move so I'm really intrigued what will happen!

I actually enjoy the current COD on GPU and hopefully the same with COD6 (even after 3 days).

Yeah, a few years ago. Wanted one with the Superman colors and rubber grip (XYAB all in different colors). It's my fave controller but still waiting for the "new" one now.

And tbh, the "skin" cracked under the Xbox button though so not very sturdy.

Super Woden GP II has my intrest. Takes my back to the Amiga days with Super Cars & Super Off Road. There was Rush Rally Origins I bought on Switch but that didn't work out like I wanted to.

I'm passed getting hyped for games but I do look forward to Indy (& Astrobot on PS). Was a bit surprised we were getting this one in 2024 tbh, so hopefully no delays!

They are not wrong but did they have the same energy when PS+ went up hard? I got it still cheap so I'm not complaining personally but normally if a sub has a 2nd price increase, I unsub, since it's usually not just one doing it.

Tbh, I can't afford all those subs anymore either ... Everything gets a price hike in life (food, gas, electricity, ... ) and if your wages get an extra, it's never that high so at the end, you lose every time.

There are households that have 4 GP subs but the Family Plan is still discontinued. Xbox should throw some more positive stuff (showcase) between the negative stuff (layoffs and closing down studios, 2 price hikes etc.) because MSM are always harder on them.

I kind of get this. MS also stopped throwing money at exclusives at some point but I believe it all has to do with the amounts Game Pass needs. As soon as Mobile & Cloud will get from the ground (+ paid off ABK for a big part), things could change, but first, Cloud needs to be on par with GeForce Now!

Choosing SP & MP should be a normal thing.
My SSD's on XSX are quite full (bought an extra cheap 1TB WD SSD on Prime Day) and I wasn't aware (before it happened that is) that it deletes your full game and completely re-downloads it with the update. Instead of 1OGB it was a +100GB DL. I'd rather would've liked a warning it was going to do that so I could move or delete a few games.

Seeing the price point I have a feeling the devs knew about it "shortcomings" aka limited budget (€40 in the PS Store).
Will give it a try though!

This is still my go-to game (100% every season is still fun for me) and love the fact they are still introducing new & interesting cars (and new evolving world stuff) to the Franchise.
Regularly see new people enjoying the franchise! The price of the licensed Universal Icon car pack is way too steep though.

A lot of former FH devs, founded Maverick Games, are very ambitious to make a more story-driven AAA game with publisher Amazon Games. The lead writer is Jamie Brittain (not familiar with the Skins series but he worked on that + was a co-creator).

Having the physical UE of FH4, it would've been nice to get that digital copy once it is delisted. Hopefully the disc keeps working for some time.

Weirder was/is not releasing it on PS4 while it's going to have a Switch version.

It's almost like there are thinking, hey, we are already the bad guys now, let's put all the rest of the bad stuff out ... In a few months, everything is back to normal and all is forgotten ...
