Ready for the arrival of the official Halo TV series on Paramount Plus? It's been revealed today that the series will premiere on March 24th, and you can get a look at the brand-new official trailer above.
This is undoubtedly the best and most involved trailer yet for the show, including various glimpses of Pablo Schreiber's Master Chief, as well as a sneak peek at Jen Taylor's Cortana — along with a few snippets of the Covenant in action.

Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.
The series stars Pablo Schreiber (Master Chief, John-117), Natascha McElhone (Dr. Halsey), Jen Taylor (Cortana), Bokeem Woodbine (Soren-066) and more.

The one down side is that its not apparently canon. Could be good or bad. Will kist to wait and see
Looks like fairly standard modern plot points and post 20th century camera angles for the CG scenes (bleh). We'll see if they pull it off, but when you replace a story with a new one, it has to be better.

Gonna need to get a GPU perk to watch this as I'm not subscribing to paramount for it. Might have to do a free trial once the season is done and binge it or fall back on alternate means
I was very pleased with the way it looked! You can definitely tell they are putting some good budget into it. Everything looks the way it should. Now we just need to see how it all comes together.
I think that it generally looked great within what is realistically possible. Now someone just needs to clarify how we are actually supposed to watch this? Is Paramount+ available worldwide or just US? and if just US, then what is the distribution platform for other regions?
I generally use paramount+ for the Nickelodeon classic cartoons for my kids. Now I get to enjoy something on there!
It does seem like a couple plot points are already different. For instance, the quote where he says “find halo, end the war”. In the games halo was a more or less accidental discovery (Cortana having just a suspicion and directing them there). But it does look like what I would expect a high budget Halo series to look like which is great!
Looks like woke trash. That said, still looks better than the Halo Infinite Campaign.

It’s so weird watching that trailer without the proper voice of the chief it just feels wrong.

Chief with a stupid voice. Cortana looks TERRIBLE. Some things look good but others look super cheap...

It look's hamstrung by it's budget.
Cortana looks weird and it looks fan made in places, don't have Paramount+ which is probably a good thing.
Ideally it would be a HBO production but maybe one day if it is successful it will have a big budget movie.
T-Mobile gave subscribers Paramount Plus for free at the tail end of last year. What great timing! As scenes seen in trailer, I'll hold any judgements until I see it.

This looks good. I see the tired trend continues: an old song re-done for a trailer.
I don't get the hate against Cortana - I mean I get that guys who played Halo during their "formative years" might have some nostalgia-fueled fantasies about her (totally cool guys, just saying!), but honestly, she looks great, and "Hello Master Chief, I'm Cortana." melted my heart, because WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENS LATER. So yeah, I loved it!
I was hoping for cat ears. Might still watch.
@AFCC You can't really expect the 71 years old Steve Downes to don the suite and be on set many hours a day as an actor for MC right? MC is played by someone new who is performing the role and doing the voice. Which makes sense. It is just a matter of getting used to it.
@Pusher2021 check the opinions online, they all agree! It looks super weird. The woman that does the voice is not Cortana, obviously

@AFCC In a TV show, you don't keep the face of your main hero concealed forever (even Mandalorian revealed the main character's face at the end of its season one). And at that moment it would be weird to have a guy with a face and then Steve Downes voicing over him. And as the example of Mandalorian again proves, the way a masked character walks, moves, and other elements is also a part of the acting and very important. So you can't just put a very tall guy in the suit and call it a day.

Everbody has an opnion & maybe she is not all perfect (even modelled after her) but when would it be? People saying she's not blue enough? Really? Same with Aloy ...
