Someone on Team Xbox must have been having a rough day a couple of weeks ago, as upcoming racer Blaze and the Monster Machines: Axle City Racers was not only released too early onto the Microsoft Store, but also was discounted by 100%, allowing Xbox users to pick it up entirely free for a short period of time.
As you can imagine, the game was quickly delisted from the store within a couple of hours, and Microsoft has now begun retracting those 'orders' and taking away access to the title from those who claimed the 100% discount:
Despite this, plenty of people did indeed get a chance to play Blaze and the Monster Machines: Axle City Racers ahead of launch, even though the game is still not expected to release until October. In fact, if you take a look on YouTube, there are even full-on achievement guides that have been created for it, along with additional gameplay videos.
Hopefully there wasn't too much damage done by this error, and you never know, it might have even created a bit more buzz for the title ahead of its launch in a few weeks' time. It must have been a panicky few hours, though!
Did you notice Blaze and the Monster Machines going free on Xbox recently? Let us know down below.

Imagine Microsoft will reimburse the publisher / devs and some gamers got to try it free for a while, so hopefully no harm done.
Would probably suck to be the person responsible though - we've all had those "oh *****" moments in work lol
Recently had a bad moment like that. We're all human. It happens.
That game probably sucks anyway
Happened with free Diablo too. With a push of a button they made it not playable.
