Re: Game Dev Receives Abuse And Apparent Death Threat After Trek To Yomi Tweet

Fervent fanboyism is toxic and despicable, just as it is in football where you have d-heads racially abusing and sending death threats over missed penalties.

Frankly, there are idiots like this on all sides, I think it just seems worse on the PS side because at this moment that is the larger fanbase, and those with something toxic to say always shout louder (I still remember the godawful "360 frat bros era). In all honesty, I probably skew more towards PS just because more of the sort of the games are on there, but I'm not so moronic that I can't see that MS are doing some great moves and I love my XSX and Gamepass, in fact I haven't turned my PS5 on for over a month (but that's just because I happened to get Elden Ring on XSX, and nothing is getting me away from that anytime soon!)

@Banjo- it would hardly be a waste of resources to port games to PS5 when they sell, in the case of COD, in their millions for £70 a pop. Not saying you're wrong and again I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being the case, but I'm just saying the wording continually seems to be very different than what they had with Bethesda

@Banjo- I think it's important to mention that Brad specifically mentions the Minecraft situation, which to me suggests a very different arrangement than Bethesda. In that instance they very clearly said they want Bethesda games "everywhere that gamepass exists". The messaging here seems very different to me. It wouldn't surprise if they just make Acti games exclusive to Gamepass, but if we take what they're saying at face value it seems unlikely

Re: Sony Boss Tells PlayStation Owners To 'Expect More Acquisitions'

Personally, I could see Sony making a play for From Software. They've worked closely together in the past, already own a couple of percent, and have been shown to go for the somewhat smaller but still proclific and bankable studios (not that FromSoft are small by any means, but they aren't Activision level, which I really couldn't see Sony going for). Plus, FromSoft seem a little unsettled so far as publishers go, bouncing from Bandai Namco, Activision and Sony. If it meant a Bloodborne 2, then happy days.

I also wouldn't be massively shocked to see them go after Remedy or even Konami. Although by and large, I'd rather they didn't (unless it gets Konami actually making games again)

Honestly though, it really feels that this gen more than any previous the way to go is to own all 3 systems (or a switch and a PC). This is the first time in my life I own all the major systems, and I'm glad I made that decision
