@ShiroKitten What did u think of Wolverine, I didn't think it was as bad as people were making it out to be. Yotei though is a great game, I think the story in Tsushima was better though. I got the plat in Yotei, I'm going to complete Most Wanted and then start a NG+ to play through the DLC. Can't wait to see what the next game is like on the PS6! I love the Pro. Ppl slagged it off and now it's seen as a must have. Depending on how much of an improvement the PS6 is over it will depend on if I switch or not. Very happy with it. Will be interesting to see if GTA 6 is actually as good as it looks.

@darylb24 What? What factual information is he providing? Other than stating that they're happy with the number of pre-orders they're getting relative to the Xbox market share. Xbox market share is less than PlayStation. Therefore pre-orders are going to be skewed in PlayStation's favour.

How is it false? There are more PS5s in the world therefore it's going to have more pre-orders for GTA 6 than Xbox.

Strange why they didn't just move Halo studios under Activision and get them to continue supporting from there.

@dkxcalibur Yes he's been Sony for years, and his games are more hit and miss than commercially successful. It will def be interesting to see what comes of this. Like he's lost the game engine and access to Sony pictures. It's a strange move considering Xbox just fired a load of people, cancelled games and sold or shutdown developers. Only for them to turn round and go oh we can takeover and fund this massive expensive game.

@RTGX I'm not saying it makes sense. Though when added to him missing deadlines and still needing to invest for another how many years can see why they got fed up. Sony this gen have fallen off a cliff though. They've wasted soo much money and have very little to show for it.

@RTGX I know it's me, that's why I said it. Other people can like his games. I've not seen anything recently from him to see why this is a big deal. His last two games don't seem to have sold loads. So probably one of the reasons why Sony were happy to cancel this one.

Xbox seems to be on the up going into the next gen and Playstation is dropping down. Crazy how much Playstation have dropped the ball this gen. They just can't seem to get any good news stories. @FraserG If I had of been drinking milk it would have shot out my nose. 😂

Can't believe a word coming from MS atm regarding XBOX. They were doing so well up to the showcase and then after that it's just been ugly. Also crazy to see the amount of ppl celebrating like this is good news and are happy Asha is firing people. Especially when the company just released first light. I hope they see people celebrating and cheering if/when they're ever fired.

I had gotten a £4 voucher for no reason as I hadn't bought anything. So as I was getting Horizon 6 through GPU I put the £4 towards the premium. Now got another £4. 😂

@Banjo- Yep and that's not for me. To heck with finding a new job every few years. 😂 Unfortunately now though there does seem to be more closing than opening. Hopefully everyone affected gets jobs quickly if the studios can't be saved.

@TheGameThrifter What is this hat and hatted you mention? Double fine have released 3 games and published 2 others since they got bought over by MS. So it's not like they've been doing nothing for 6 years.

What a generation, Xbox basically falling apart and Playstation switching tact and chasing that live service golden egg.

@Banjo- Unfortunately the industry has always been volatile. That's way I didn't get into it after leaving uni nearly 20 years ago. No job security at all. The industry has gotten bigger and games cost more to develop so when things go wrong and targets aren't met it can go very badly.

MS to spin off all of them into a new company and then buy that company again in a few years time... 😂

@TheGameThrifter Save that message for when Xbox end up with nothing but playground games, Halo studios, the coalition, Activision and Blizzard. These smaller studios were bought to boost the games going onto gamepass. Keep the content flowing with indie and AA games. While the bigger studios worked on their games.

@datamonkey I haven't got too far in Horizon 6 yet but it def isn't as bad from what I've seen. Though I haven't done too much of the side mission stuff. Mostly just been trying to drive all the roads and then doing the seasonal stuff.

@shiny-enzo That's an interesting take on the future of the horizon franchise. The franchise that's been built up by the fact it's the Horizon festival. Not sure what they would rename the franchise to if they remove the festival.

Will be interesting to see how this game does, considering how Horizon 5 dialogue was cringe and is generally regarded as the weakest entry.

@Banjo- Ah, ok got u now. @ZeD Yea, more just getting an option to disable it altogether rather than having to do each game.

@Banjo- I'm not sure what you mean. This is what I usually do and it still does quick resume. Press the Xbox button, go to home and then turn off the console.

Not a fan of quick resume. It's horrible for online games. Always found it annoying starting up COD. Would start then update then restart and then get in. Should really be an option to turn it off completely rather than having to do it on each game. For Horizon games I always make sure it's saved before quitting.

Wait and see GTA 6 flop now. 😂 Something was always going to have to skip this year because of GTA 6 and how stacked this year already of for games
It's good to have a big game so early in the new year. Hopefully they'll maybe add more stuff into fable before it releases.

@ZeD Yes, I think over the next couple of years we'll see physical media being properly phased out. As u say companies are going to see it as a way of saving money.

@Fiendish-Beaver It's a tough position to be in. Unfortunately, if MS continue to release all their big games on Playstation then the next generation is going to be an easy switch to just Playstation rather than having both for me. They need a USP and having all ur big games on another console that has it's own set of exclusive games isn't going to get many buyers. Especially when it's going to cost over £1000. The series X was more powerful than the PS5 when it released, so that's not a factor that's going to get people to switch.

@BacklogBrad You weren't there in the beginning.

They should def go back to exclusives again. If they don't then how are they going to convince the general public to buy the console. If you can get XBOX games and Playstation games on the PS6 then there is no reason to buy XBOX. I'd 100% stop Fable, Halo and Gears from going to Playstation. Forza Horizon I'm not sure, 5 sold bucket loads. However, 6 releasing so soon after might not get the same sales.

@Balaam_ Yea that's not going to happen. Everything is moving more and more to digital. The sales % are swinging way to digital purchases over physical. I go for a mixture of both. I def buy physical if I think I won't play the game again once I've finished it. Unless it's a special game I want at launch I have a rule where I won't pay over £20 for a digital game. Physical is generally cheaper than digital, but then there's the ease of access to the digital game. Also was there something going about saying Helix will be digital only?

5 games there I really want to play. The series X is getting some use this year. Mixtape and Horizon 6 just the start of the avalanche of games.

@AlwaysPlaying I guess ur not Drax, because that flew right over ur head. I'll explain what I was saying a bit more detailed as you missed it. Sony didn't release two different specifications of the PS5 and similarly are not with the PS6. MS decided going into this generation to hobble game developers by releasing 2 vastly different consoles (calling them both next gen) and forcing games to be able to run on both or else they couldn't release them. So my point was that MS are not doing this for the next generation and that is a good thing. Hope that clears up any confusion you may have had.

The good thing with project Helix is that there won't be a 2nd weaker console that games must run on.

@LaurenceJ1987 I rushed it and just though oh no it's not coming to gamepass. 😂 Since they've had 2 years to work on it I really hope the single player is ace. Been a while since there's been a really good single player campaign. Will also be interesting to see what it looks like when not being held back by last gen consoles. It's nearly the end of this generation and this is the first proper full "next gen" game.

@Fiendish-Beaver @FarmDog08 I have to say PS2 era they did put out some good games. I played GTA V on the PS3 and lost interest when the only thing the studio did was release the same game over and over again. Def needs to be something ground breaking in this game to make it stand out over all the other great open world games about now. 100% it'll get crazy high reviews no matter what state it is in. Ugh "influencers" I tend to stay away from them like the plague.

The games weren't selling great on PC and then the possibility of the games being playable through the new XBOX made it 100% the sensible call to make.

Should probably just do what Sony did with the PS5. Sell the disk drive as an optional attachment. MS did it in the 360 era with HD-DVD. Though physical to digital transfer would be cool to offer but might be harder to implement than just selling a disk drive attachment.
