I loved Horizon 2 but 4 is def the best so far.

Just finished it and it's 100% a 10/10! Great story, great soundtrack. Brilliant execution and just overall a brilliant game. It def will not be for everyone though. So can understand some not getting the high praise the game is getting. I can't want to see what they do next. But will be 1 day for sure. I've already bought Mixtape for the PlayStation and will get the plat for it. I played it on the Xbox blind and no looking at achievements or trophies. Just to experience it as a normal game and no pressure.

Starting Mixtape this evening, hoping to get it finished tonight.

Think MS is in a similar position to Sony. How messed up will the world be next year? How much are people going to be happy spending. Especially for MS when they're launching a premium follow up to a console that hasn't done well. If they're going to launch next year, what big system selling games are Xbox going to have? All the big hitters are coming out this year. Unless some get delayed. Not that we know what launch games are planned for the PS6. Though the new God of War game is rumoured. Also that game from the last of us director is also due out next year or early 2028. Sony and MS are heading in different directions for their hardware and player base. I don't think the next Xbox will sell anywhere near as many as the PS6. So MS will probably be looking to make as much profit from their console as possible. Reversing their multiplatform approach would probably help sales. I still think there's loads of life left in the series X and PS5 Pro yet.

@Skinny-Pete I got a good few in, some IPAs, Pale Ales and then some lagers. Tend to stay off the shorts. Mainly because they're too easy to drink. Can get messy. 😂 What about u? It seems the game lasts about 4hrs, so might be able to play through it in 1 sitting. Really liked the Artful Escape, so if this is as good I'll probably buy it to support them.

I'm away when it launches so just the GPU standard edition for me. Will get the premium edition for the PS5 Pro at the end of next year. After all the DLCs have released.

@Nightcrawler71 I'm glad it wasn't just me! They really leaned into the whole everyone else create races and share them. Which is all well and good but they're separate from the main career.

Really hope there is a load of single player races, the last couple of entries were really lacking.

So this latest update means they're going to decide on exclusivity on a game by game basis?

@Skinny-Pete Yes but these games are also available on the PlayStation. I was replying about someone wanting Xbox to start making loads of children's games for the series S and MS push that as a secret weapon to take on the switch/switch 2. Which is not a good idea or likely to happen considering they're building up to the launch of their console PC hybrid. Nintendo is the place for kids games and always has been. It's their market and an old non portable console is not going to break into it.

@RadioHedgeFund I think the ship has sailed on the series S. There is no way they suddenly decide to switch focus and try and make tons of family games to take on Nintendo. If u want to game with ur family Nintendo is the way and has been for years. Hopefully MS release just 1 Xbox console for the next generation and don't hobble developers by forcing them to still release their games on an underpowered product.

@RadioHedgeFund So your first post said that people should buy a series S instead of a switch. Then say most ppl want something to play with their kids. Then end the saying Xbox is a terrible family console. 😂 So why would families buy a series S? How is it a secret weapon?

@RadioHedgeFund The switch and switch 2 are portable and the series S isn't. They're 2 completely different markets.

She will cause a riot in the PlayStation community if she does a 180 on multiplatform releases. 😂 There's loads complaining that Horizon 6 isn't releasing on PS5 the same day as Xbox.

@Lanmanna I'd like to think that if they switch back to console exclusives they'll announce that. On saying that I've been doing the rewards for years without a break. It was nice to skip it for a while. If nothing is confirmed I will probably just keep doing it until my series X dies or they stop releasing games for it. Whichever comes first.

I actually started doing the reward points again today. I had stopped for a while but with the possibility of exclusivity coming back I'm going to continue building the points up just to be sure.

@tho_mi True, though depends if they've changed or expanded the story. I'd be more likely to play through it again if there's more in the story and it's not just a update of the graphics.

What big games are currently scheduled for next year? Might make sense to delay it to next year as one of the main releases with the next Xbox. With the Halo remake, Horizon 6 and Gears already releasing this year it pretty stacked as it is.

@LaurenceJ1987 Yes, they def couldn't claim day 1 releases anymore. Could nearly guarantee that they if they do remove COD they won't drop the price.

The last 3 entries really killed my interest in COD unfortunately.

@LaurenceJ1987 Yes all the teams that work on COD are owned by MS because they are all part of Activision and MS bought them. COD generally alternates between Infinity ward and Treyarch as the main devs with the other teams as support. Though Sledgehammer have been lead on a couple.

It's a good move by Sony. As a lot on here and other places have said that they would get the next Xbox, givinh them access to PC, Xbox and PlayStation games. Plus the release of the steam machine is another option.

Keeping PlayStation games only available to PlayStation is the best way to make sure ppl continue to buy their system. They'll probably continue to release the live service games on PC. Though hopefully they've learnt their lesson on that as well. First party output has been heavily impacted due to their live service push at the start of the generation.

The new head of Xbox has been bigging up the console side of things. Time will tell how important the next Xbox is to them. I can't see MS moving from the publisher role it's become. Continuing to push everything everywhere.

Oh a lot of that reads like the typical crap that's said before a shed load of Ai is introduced.

I'll not be buying this or any other upgrade packs for GPU games. Current plan is to play the standard edition on GPU and then in a year or so once the DLCs have released pick it up on sale for the PS5 Pro.

Horizon 5 is great on the PS5 Pro. Since its been so long since I did any of the story side I had forgotten most of it, so was like a new game. 😂 Think I'll just play the free edition on GPU and then after the expansion packs have released will pick it up for the PS5 Pro on sale. I really hope they dont have a trophy for winning the eliminator in H6! Ghost of Yotei is great but it doesn't hit the same as Ghost of Tsushima. I've still a good way to go in Yotei, but so far feel the story in Tsushima was better.

On its 25th anniversary, this is going to be a year full of great games for Xbox. Last year my series X got a lot more use than it had in a long time. This year it might actually overtake the PS5. Looking forward to FH6 the most, been waiting that long for a new one I bought FH5 on the PS5 and started it all fresh.

At the minute I'd probably not buy one. I have no interest in paying a premium just to be able to buy steam games. Will see what is happening Xbox wise in 2 years or so time before making a final decision. Though I'm happy atm using my series X as a gamepass console and the PS5 Pro as my main console. With the switch 2 just sitting there in the corner collecting dust.

Wish they'd do a remake of this game. Really liked it.

Played for a couple of days over the weekend. Every other game had some bit of stuttering. Can't be bothered uninstalling and reinstalling. Went back to Cold War.

GTA 6 will get delayed again and then become a launch title for the new Xbox and PS6.

I've no interest in playing PC games. So this doesn't interest me. Think this is more of an issue for MS than Sony. So far going into the next gen it seems that the Xbox main selling point was going to be access to steam. Unlike Sony, MS needs to do something to expand their player base. So I don't see why Sony would want or need to try and copy MS on steam access. It would obviously destroy their console eco system. They make loads from selling games on their digital store. Why would they want to lose that when they don't need to?

Bought Battlefield 6 and have dropped it and gone back to Blops6. Looking forward to Blops7.

As my series X is only used for GPU I can't see me getting this Xbox PC. I don't have any interest in playing PC games so why would I pay a premium to get access to them. I have 2 years of GPU built up. So depending on how the reward points to GPU goes I'll maybe just be replacing my series X when it dies with another series X.
