@Rafie @wildcat_kickz Knew there was something about the development of helldivers. Think they did the same with that rise of the ronin game. I was just saying maybe that why they've chosen to do it with this game. As it wasn't developed in house and isn't a god of war etc. Was also just saying I couldn't see a lot of other games going from Sony to Xbox no matter what happens.

@wildcat_kickz Def can see it being a test of the waters for Sony. Though even if it is successful, I'm not sure if they'll start moving all their games over. This was classed as a 3rd party game from them I believe. Since it wasn't developed in house.

A game like Horizon was desperately needed on the PS5. Can't see helldivers 2 doing those sorts of numbers. It could go as badly as that Final Fantasy game.

@Deshalu The Elder Scrolls Online director Matt Firor, who helped launch ZeniMax Online Studios in 2007, is leaving the company.

Gregg Mayles served as the creative director for Sea of Thieves. In total, Mayles has worked on nearly 30 games at Rare. He was moved over to be the director on Everwild in 2021.

While the games have been in development for a long time there's a lot that has gone on that we don't know about.

MS in terms of software have been on fire last year, this year and from what we've seen they won't be slowing down next year. To keep the flow of games coming I think they need not just staff but experienced staff. Also all the studios possible to help keep the games coming.

MS made how much money? So why do they need to get rid of staff?

All these redundancy exercises and this happens at other large companies not just at MS, are done not because they need to, but are done to get more profit and force people to do more work or "take on more responsibility to help grow their careers".

@Deshalu I could have sworn the elder scrolls online game was still going and it's latest expansion was shown at one of the shows. Similarly with sea of thieves... Ignore those games, squint a bit and ur right. One is just the studio president and the other has 35 years experience working as a game designer and has been a director on Rare's only game for how many years? It'll be fine though, interns and AI can replace them. 😀

Madness. So they have a lot of games in the pipeline now, what about for the following year and next gen? They're betting all their money on AI.

Will be impacted after the next console is released and then MS just get other companies to make "Xboxes". As with the rog handheld. 3rd party made it and then we heard that MS had cancelled their own handheld project. Have done the same with VR.

Xbox has def shifted into publisher rather than console manufacturer. The rog ally and meta quest is proof of that. Oh u have a product already can u stick some Xbox stuff on it for us and save us having to do it. They're on fire with the games but I honestly can't see MS creating their own console after this next generation. Like they've already dropped their own handheld hardware. The next gen console was probably too far along to drop. For me I have no interest in playing on PC again or having access to my steam library, if it's on the go or not with the rog ally. I certainly don't want to pay extra for the privilege.

Less redundancies so they can keep up the amount of games they're releasing without relying on AI to make them all.

Blops6 kind of made me lose interest in COD tbh. Will give Blops7 a go since it's free on gamepass. Otherwise I would just be leaving it.

It looks stunning and was surprised it wasn't one of the most watched trailers on xbox YouTube. Def will be playing it day 1.

Where are people mainly going to be playing this thing? Because a lot of the games listed are far better playing on a proper sized screen.

@JustinSane It's mind-boggling to think about the amount of must play games coming out. Next year is going to be a stunning year for Xbox. This year hasn't been too shabby either. 😂

@ZYDIO Was strange, had been playing fine at release then it started getting worse and worse. Which was why I had been thinking it might have been the was the wireless connection issue.

@ZYDIO Got COD working again. Just needed to uninstall and reinstall. 😂

I didn't think they would release Forza Horizon 6 until the next console. Guess it'll just get an upgrade.

@TapeLoader Time also seems to speed up, which doesn't help with getting through the backlog to get playing all the new games coming out. 😂

@Kaloudz Yea u can switch games internal to external and back again. Far handier to actually have instant access to ur games rather than rotating them or sitting down wanting to play something and then have to wait while it copies over. The prices are really not on for these cards. MS decision has u locked in though so they can get away with it.

Soo many great games, so little time. 😂 Gamepass really has been on fire! Started last year, continued into this year and it's not slowing down next year either.

@Kaloudz Hopefully Xbox goes down the route that Sony did with the PS5. Where u just buy sticks and install them. Far cheaper than having their own proprietary plug-in card. If it is going to be more PC like then they def need to make it like that.

@ZYDIO I was talking about hoping that my personal series X lasts the next couple of years. Multiplayer black ops 6 is unplayable, stuttering like mad. Even Forza Motorsport in career is stuttering quite a bit. Uninstalled and reinstalled black ops 6 so going to see if that has helped. As south of midnight had no issues. So not sure if it's GPU or the wireless network card. My launch series X had a faulty wireless card. So maybe I'm just unlucky!

If u can't play the campaign solo then that'll be a pass for me. Will probably just play some of the multiplayer.

Some really good games. Would have though fable or the new gears would have turned up. That keeper game looks nuts. 😂 Def a lot to look forward to, I just hope my series X can survive until the next gen.

Poor scalpers living off scraps now. Just not having the same joy as they did during the pandemic. Remember hearing ones quitting their jobs to just sell PS5s forever believing that nothing would go back to normal.

At this stage if my series X dies, I won't be replacing it. I'll just play 100% on my PS5 Pro and pick up the Xbox games (when on sale). My guess is everything is going to PS, so would then have to decide if I even get the next xbox. Though that's all theoretical, my series X is not going to break down. 🤞

Horizon 6 = a launch title for the next xbox.

Crying and moaning has gotten them more publicity than they had before they launched.

The series X is fully moving to a gamepass console. Pushing the game on PlayStation to get sales is where MS will make the most money from the title.

From the trailer to A T looks awful 😂 Doom and spray paint simulator are the ones I'm looking forward to. Really like power wash simulator, so should be a good game play while waiting for the next power wash game.

@Bigmanfan I would love to see horizon 6 as well. Though with 5 just releasing on the PS5 I can see 6 being kept for a release title for the new PC Xbox.

@Kaloudz You might not want to say why you can't go to the cinema, but I hope u will be able to make it to a cinema in the future.

@Kaloudz I know in general shouting and cheering is tolerated in American cinemas but that seems to be really taking the hand. You wouldn't do that in the UK. I've seen coke bottles being thrown at groups that even try whispering during the flim. Different movie viewing mindset. When going to see a film I don't think about how I'll look on youtube and getting youtube engagement because you shouldn't have your phone on at all nevermind recording. This movie it doesn't matter as it's for kids and the story doesn't matter. However would you still want to sit with 100 people jumping and screaming and throwing popcorn while watching Gladiator for example?

Took a break from AC Shadows to give this a go. Not going back to Shadows until I've finished it. It's a geat game.

@Runex2121 Got to disagree, Sony have the naming nailed down. At least most people can say what the latest console name is. 😂 Also PS5 / PS5 Pro is easier to understand than xbox series X/S. I was asked by a non gaming friend who was looking to get a console if the Xbox one or Xbox series was the latest. People that are into gaming know, but those casual ones that are not have no clue.

@fatpunkslim I've been playing on xbox since they first arrived. Actually before they released officially in the UK. Because the game store had a Japanese Xbox with Halo months before the release. Had every xbox since, but no I don't like them doing well. 😂 I'm just pointing out u jump down people's throats that have another opinion to u. Go on reddit, u'll see loads of posts of ppl switching from Xbox to Playstation. It does happen and u might not like it. With how great GPU has been since about midway through last year it would make sense for people to be switching to PC or Xbox because it is really worth the money. Though if u use MS rewards u don't really even have to pay for it.

@Dalamar73 I don't game much on PC anymore, last built mine in 2018. I mostly use the series X and PS5 Pro. It would need to be subsidized to make me get it and not a similar or more powerful PC. A 4080 will probably still be more powerful than the next xbox and playstation. So that could be a tempting option.

The argument was being made that the PS5 Pro was getting close to a PC in pricing. If the next xbox is just a pre-built PC that u can't upgrade or change with new parts. I'd probably just get a PC for GPU and PS6 for the next generation.
