Microsoft Changes Game Pass Font To Match New Xbox Logo

A lot has been made of Xbox changing its logo and related branding to match the original console's style and spirit - and now Team Green has decided to bring Xbox Game Pass into the fold as well.

Yep, to match the new, electric green Xbox logo, Microsoft has changed its Game Pass font here in 2026. Gone is the more 'plain' XGP text for something that syncs up nicely with the brand's new logo - here's a look at it on show:

What do you make of this, then? We know it's all a bit superficial but we do like how nicely it all matches up now, and in general, we'd like Xbox to continue to lean into its 'green' styling rather than the dull blacks and whites we've seen in recent years. It just gives the brand's whole messaging a bit more personality, you know?

Now that we're at the end of May here, we're curious to see how much of this snazzy new styling makes it into the Xbox Games Showcase next month. A recent showcase teaser shared by boss Asha Sharma certainly contains lots of green, and it'll be interesting to see if this new direction comes together in a coherent manner at the event. You know we'll be tuning in to find out!
