It's only February and I'm already falling behind! Started Indiana Jones last month and still not finished it. Played a couple of hours of Eternal Strands. Now this is nearly released and I have still to even start up sniper elite.

3rd parties, mostly all release multiplatform. So this really isn't anything new, they been doing it for many years. Maybe there will be less exclusive deals going forward. It'll just depend on the offers made to the devs as it always has been. Sony will not release their games on Xbox. They'll just continue releasing the to PC after X amount of time. Doesn't make sense for Sony to start releasing their exclusives to Xbox. Considering the PS5 is out selling the series S/X by quite a bit. MS are releasing games on the PS5 because they need to make money. Gamepass and selling on the series S/X and PC isn't enough for them. After buying Activision, the spotlight is on them and they need to keep growing and making more and more money for the shareholders.

Meh, my interest in GTA has faded away in the years since playing GTA5 on the PS3.

Avowed is the only one I'll be playing. Hopefully, if I can finish Indiana Jones and eternal Strands. Will wait for a sale for PGA 2K25.

Think PC is as far Sony will go sharing games. It just doesn't match their business model. Same as day 1 releases on their premium sub.

They've dropped the PS4, can't see them wasting time and resources downgrading games to get them to run on the series S.

Will be giving Eternal Strands a go, originally sounded like a it was going to be similar to Immortals Fenyx Rising. Though now seems to be like monster hunter, which I've not really had any interest in previously.

@Lup Don't get Rise of the Ronin then, because I never even finished it.

@Lup Pity you don't care about Sony games, because Ghost of Tsushima was far better than Rise of the Ronin.

Sell Games elsewhere and use the money to keep the price of the GPU subscription down.

I think MS would stop making consoles if they could get GPU on PlayStation. Like they've given up marketing for the Xbox. Maybe they've stopped the advertising as they're preparing for a massive advertising push for the next xbox if it is coming out in 2026. I just hope it doesn't rely on cloud features.

@Millionski 100% the value is unbelievable. MS have the studio numbers to make it happen. Hopefully with the games releasing on PS and PC they'll be able to keep the price of the GPU sub down. Would like to think that with the number of games coming out if they do release the next gen console next year they'll push it hard. Also hope it's not to heavily dependant on the cloud.

Crazy amount of big games coming to GPU this year. People can't say it's not value for money now. Will be interesting to see how the next few years go for Xbox. Can they keep up a release schedule like this for next year for example.

With doing the reward points and COD and Indy releasing on GPU last year 1/4 of my gaming time was spent on Xbox. A massive jump from the previous year's. With all these games releasing this year I would say my gaming time on the PS5 Pro will drop even more. As the only game I'm currently planning on buying this year is Ghost of Yotei. Everything else will be GPU.

@Coletrain Oh yes! The PS4 Pro was truly terrible. Set it beside the one X to try and shame it into being quiet. 😂

@RetroMan71 It's doing my head in, other games are working fine.

@bazchillin Maybe if ur a big Blu-ray fan, you would have a proper Blu-ray player. Since none of the consoles are rated pretty highly. I'd say ur key features for consoles are just nice to have.

@Coletrain thankfully my Pro doesn't. Both the normal PS5 and PS5 Pro have been super quiet compared to the PS4 Pro. The one X and series X have always been quiet.

@bazchillin CDs! There's a blast from the past. Think the last time I put it in a CD into a console was the original Xbox.

I'm done with Blops 6. Played for 2 hours the other night and the last 3 games I played were unplayable. Was a jerking stuttering mess.

Meh, it's not like there's an abundance of 4k 120 games out there. Even then I'm not sure how much of a diffence it even makes. Seen some people say YUV is better for the human eye. TBH I was surprised to find that COD Cold War looks better on the PS5 Pro than black ops 6 does on the series X.

I'll just get the remastered complete edition in 3 generations time. When we're still waiting for GTA 7.

Can see them keeping the elite series 3 for the new console. Because it wouldn't make sense to release it without all the extra features the new standard controller will have like haptics.

There is already some amount of games releasing this year. So it's possible that Fable slips to 2026. If it does, then Fable, Gears of War, Horizon 6 and Halo remake should probably be the day 1 games for the new console. Which would be a killer line up, though they'll probably shoot themselves in the foot and make series S and X versions.

Doesn't seem to work with EA Play games on GPU. Tried it yesterday with FC 24 and it didn't work. Haven't got round to checking today. So maybe it's working now.

Losing the achievement points means I'll not be playing as many games like peppa pig in the future.

Well the new quests are not working for me atm. Got the 10 points for playing a game on console for 15 minutes but it didn't work for the quest, despite being a gamepass game. Are the quests working for anyone else?

I hope that MS learn from this and they don't split the install base again.

@GuyinPA75 Yea, there's been quite a lot of build quality issues with the elite. Hopefully they take what they've learnt from it and improve the next version.

@Trmn8r The elite series 2 is the best controller for shooters. I don't use it for any other games. 😂 The only reason I can see them bringing out a series 3 is with the new haptic feedback. The PS5 edge is def a step up from the normal controller. But the triggers are a bit off when compared to the elite.

Finally got starting it and it's good! Though got too many games going at the same time so will finish off a couple of games and then focus on it. Wouldn't say no to another game from what I've played so far.

@Sol4ris The PS5 controller is far better than the Xbox controller because it has haptics and adaptive triggers. The controller was one of the main differentiators between the 2 consoles when they launched. I would recommend giving it a go. The Xbox controller and elite series 2 are great, but when implemented well the PS5 controller just makes the experience better. I am looking forward to getting an Xbox controller with haptics. Hopefully an elite series 3 is on the way with the next console.

My series X is a GPU console only.

I have my free GPU stacked until 2026. I'll be watching with interest to see if the proper big classic xbox franchises do go timed exclusive before going multiplatform. If they do, it'll make it a hard sell to buy the next xbox over the PS6. If they keep pushing to the cloud, I won't be following them.

My most played game this year. Massively better than it was at launch.

Didn't even get mine last year because it was hardly switched on. This year has been a lot different.

The achievements were just really being done for the MS reward points.

Now waiting for the playstation end of year review to see how much time in total I spent gaming. 😂

The "COD killer" didn't last too long.

Until Sony let GPU on their console then MS will need to continue making a GPU console.

Mafia for me. Lost interest in GTA a good while ago.

Have a series X and have no need for a handheld device. So will be something I'll be skipping.

Only played multiplayer for a couple of hours last night, but it's far better than the last lot of modern warfare games. Not sure if I'm going to play the campaign or just continue on multiplayer tonight. Should get about 6 hours in tonight.

BLOPS 6 weekend! Can't see me playing anything else this weekend at all.

MS def need to keep some games exclusive. Halo, Gears and Forza should remain xbox exclusive. There's no point in sending everything over to PlayStation if you want to sell consoles.

Series X for GPU and PS5 for everything else.

Dirt 5, I'm feeling nostalgic. Haven't played that in a long time. Working through frog detective before it leaves for the achievement a day. Though don't actually need them for the monthly reward but best using them before they go.

@andrewsqual The only game I'm really looking forward to playing on my PS5 Pro is ghost of Yotei. COD and Indy are free with gamepass, so why would I buy them? 😂 Couple of games listed here I was looking at but they're going to be on gamepass as well. I'll still be playing through my backlog as well. So only 1 new game for me for next year so far.

At this rate the PS5 Pro will only be getting used for Ghost of Yotei next year. 😂
