Two full weeks have come to pass since Vanguard joined the subscription service, and it looks like Microsoft has begun preparations for another Call of Duty title to make its way onto Xbox Game Pass some time in the future.
Similar to our earlier report for Vanguard, it's once again been spotted that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War appears to have gotten the same treatment via an Xbox for PC version on the Microsoft Store. Up to this point, Xbox only supported the console version of Cold War, and a move like this usually indicates its likely appearance on Game Pass.

Last we had this sort of indicator, it took Vanguard roughly two months before it made an official appearance on Game Pass, and the script could very well be the same. Xbox could release Cold War onto the service in September, which would soften the news that subscribers will have to purchase Modern Warfare 4 if they want to play it on October 23rd.
According to the fine people of Pure Xbox, when we asked which CoD game is the best?, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War took ninth spot, behind the original Black Ops and its sequel. When we reviewed the game back in 2020, we enjoyed it's 'bombastic campaign' even if we felt it was a relatively short one.
