If you've been wondering what's going on with Xbox Game Pass in October, you're not alone - Microsoft hasn't made any announcements about the service over the past couple of weeks, but we reckon that'll change very soon.

In fact, it'll probably be on Tuesday that more Game Pass titles are revealed, but in the meantime, we already know of three "day one" Xbox Game Pass releases that are definitely on the calendar for the next few days.

The first of these is obviously Gears of War: E-Day, which is launching as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 6th. It's still considered a "day one" title despite launching in early access a few days ago, as day one games are categorised by their standard edition release.

The second game is Echo Weaver, which is a knowledge-based Metroidvania where you have to "master an unraveling time loop." Its day one Xbox Game Pass release is on October 8th, although there's already a free Echo Weaver demo on the Xbox Store if you fancy checking it out ahead of time.

And finally, the third confirmed game for the next few days is Neon Abyss 2, which again launches on October 8th. This is a roguelite run 'n' gun shooter featuring beautiful pixel art and up to four-player online co-op, and its PC early access period has received a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. Next week will mark its 1.0 release across all platforms.

We'll leave you with more details about each of these games down below, but definitely don't be surprised if Microsoft adds more to the list on Tuesday - we'll be keeping an eye out and will let you know if that happens.

Gears Of War: E-Day (October 6)

Experience the horror and brutality of Emergence Day. Fourteen years before the original Gears of War, join Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago in a gripping origin-story campaign as the Locust Horde first erupt from below, igniting a desperate fight for survival. Rally your squad and fight on in multiplayer with a reimagination of Gears’ iconic PvE mode, Horde Siege, or go head-to-head with a refined Versus PvP. Built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, Gears of War: E-Day delivers the most immersive Gears yet.

Echo Weaver (October 8)

Time is your greatest resource and secrets are your only upgrades. Master an unraveling time loop in this knowledge-based Metroidvania. As the last Weaver, exploit time-altering anomalies and use what you learn to break the cycle. Explore what remains. Uncover the mystery. Perfect the loop.

Neon Abyss 2 (October 8)

Dive into the cybermyth roguelike chaos of Neon Abyss 2! Now featuring up to 4-player online co-op, more combat styles, and unlimited item synergies, every run delivers a dramatic, action-packed experience you won't forget.
