Rather than more avowed or keeper type games that only get a niche type following and don't make any profits.

The consumers aren't happy with the constant price increases for six year old consoles so we all have stuff to be unhappy about 🙂
I'm sure they would get a big shock if they got rid of it now and that monthly payment from gamepass users!

@themightyant I'd argue they are separate entities especially considering you can buy the online part separately but we aren't going to agree and like I said I'm happy to be wrong if that's how everyone and yourself see it.
I've been called worse before and I'm sure I'll be called worse in the future.

@Markatron84 Basically a game that without it's server the game doesn't play like a Helldivers 2 in my opinion and it's fine if we have a difference of opinion no problem at all everything I'm saying is just how I see it like I said I'd be telling a lie if I said gears e day is a live service game to me.
Live service games in my opinion die without there server and become unplayable it's a game played constantly online no offline mode available like Helldivers 2 GTA or red dead online which is a good one to look at red Dead redemption 2 isn't considered a live service game to people though it has a live service mode in red dead online.
I don't think GTA will be considered strictly live service aswell when it drops despite it will be getting a live service mode down the line.
Do you get my logic in how I see it a bit?

@themightyant All games get updated lots have stores and dlc resident evil requiem recently got a free update with a new mode and they have an in-game currency and shop.
I just don't see gears or what they are planning to do in it as live service in my mind.

In my opinion it takes more to be live service obviously the industry thinks differently and I can live with that.

@Fiendish-Beaver I couldn't tell you why they kept it exclusive I have no clue but they are paid to make there decisions and they made this one and as for what is coming after it's up to them aswell.
As much as all of us are armchair experts ina sense none of us here would have a clue what it takes to do Sharma's job or any Xbox higher ups.
Xbox/Microsoft is a worldwide brand billions invested in it we are just gaming fans commenting on a site.
That's there job livelihoods career there life in some cases I'm sure they have a good reason why they are going down this path.

@Fiendish-Beaver Helldivers 2 arc raiders games like that which are dependent on a server to play are access the game at all.
I'm sure it says it's live service everywhere but for me in my opinion it's not not to be confrontational or difficult but it's what I think obviously my definition of live service is different to others but I'm good with that aswell.
Some people think Messi is the best footballer who ever lived doesn't mean I agree with them.

@Fiendish-Beaver Fable will do well on playstation so will Forza horizon 6 it's not the end of the world if Microsoft keep a couple games exclusive it's not like gears is as big a name now like it was in the 360 era.

@themightyant The games I mentioned previously are what I consider live service I mean is halo infinite live service?
If all it takes to seasonal challenges and an in game currency and stuff like that to be live service that's a very low bar in my opinion.
But hey different opinions i just don't see it as a live service game myself an online store just to get money out of people isn't live service imo just a store.

@themightyant Gears isn't really a live service game in my opinion.
It has a campaign that can be played single player or co-op and a pvp multiplayer also a new horde mode.
It's not really live service like Helldivers or arc raiders or even a GTA or red dead online.
Live service games are dependent on a server to play but you would be able to play gears campaign offline no problem I don't think the game stops existing without it's server like other live service games would.

I really don't care what they do around exclusivity to be honest I own an Xbox so I know I can play all the games they will bring out.
If games do or don't go to playstation it makes no difference to me at all.
I'll let everyone else worry and argue over the politics in gaming while I just enjoy my hobby playing games I enjoy!

Definitely no doubt!
People still just stream this gens games that they can from Xbox one consoles!
I wouldn't be rushed into next gen especially with these price increases for current gen I already own!
I have my series x and also a s as backup!
Repairs in the worst situation would cost a faction of a new console and my series x is silent as a field mouse no matter the game!
I'm content and happy with the current gaming tech I own!

@Jeff_D Yup it's definitely a game for the playstation gamers without multiplayer it's pointless for an Xbox gamer

Definitely not going to pay extra to play this early maybe it's just me but without multiplayer this game seems to be a damp squib to me.
I've completed so many different versions of this game so the main interest I have for the game is in the couple new missions.
Hopefully they see sense and add a pvp multiplayer after launch.

I'll be on pba bowling 26 very relaxing game to play I'm really enjoying it.
I'll jump back into resident evil requiem aswell just past that big bike chase part with Leon in raccoon city!
It's a really really great game and Leon is an absolute animal at killing zombies!

I really really enjoyed ryse son of Rome it's a very underrated game.
Still looks really good nowadays if they could even give us a 4k update that would be amazing!
Microsoft would of been better served to just pay whatever crytek wanted for the IP than what they did spend money on over the years.
Then again they should let remedy work on a quantum break sequel or sell them the IP aswell.
Gatekeeping IPs for nobody's benefit!

Are they even going to release physical games on Xbox in the future because they barely do now currently.

Played the original halo in some store in them display cases back in the day.
But I completed halo 2 first on my Xbox when I picked one up.
Looked so good for the time no lie even the original one did haha 😂

I like the sounds of this sure just one 360 save does be gigabytes of memory for some reason.
Local saves on multiple games would take up a hell of a lot of space.
I try wipe my local saves every couple months.

Now looney toons I'll have to check out see if I'd be into it that could be good fun to play!

@HelloCraigo Haha yeah it was good fun back in the day we where "Ebony" clan we used to have scrims
(clan battles) Also In clan tournaments for Microsoft points it was a great laugh and meet some good gaming friends I still talk to today.
We weren't really that great of a clan to be honest but we always had a great laugh playing together!
Which is the main point in fairness win or lose it was always fun!

@fatpunkslim A big enough number of small changes and improvements do change the overall experience for the better.
Goes to show now how us console users must of been an afterthought for a good number of year's

I'll never change my gamertag I changed it once to join a clan in gears of war 3 back when and there's still a few of us with the clan Name in our gamertag.
Despite not being a gears clan no more we are still a gaming brotherhood of sorts!
Maybe in gears e day we can come together again time will tell haha 😂
