Halo: Campaign Evolved Release Date

Halo: Campaign Evolved officially launches for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC on Tuesday, July 28th.

Halo: Campaign Evolved Early Access Date

Halo: Campaign Evolved early access begins on Thursday, July 23rd for anyone who has purchased the Premium Edition, Premium Upgrade Edition or Collector's Edition.

The Premium Upgrade Edition is your cheapest way to get early access at £20 / $20, but that version is primarily targeted at Xbox Game Pass members due to not including the base game. In other words, the Premium Edition grants you permanent access to Halo: Campaign Evolved, whereas the Premium Upgrade Edition assumes you've either bought it already or you're playing it via Xbox Game Pass instead.

Halo Studios has formally revealed that Halo: Campaign Evolved will launch at 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST on July 23 for early access and July 28 for standard edition players.

Here's the confirmation courtesy of the Halo team:

"All our timings will happen at the same time globally, so everyone can jump into the game at the exact same moment. Early Access begins July 23 at 8 AM PDT (July 24 in Japan and select Asia-Pacific markets). Halo: Campaign Evolved launches globally on July 28, 2026 at 8 AM PDT (July 29 in Japan and select Asia-Pacific markets)."

Halo: Campaign Evolved Download Size

Although Halo: Campaign Evolved's preload has yet to officially begin, numerous reviewers have been highlighting how the game clocks in at around 69.80GB on Xbox Series X, so it's a fairly hefty download size!

Is Halo: Campaign Evolved On Xbox Game Pass?

Yes, the standard edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved will be available on Xbox Game Pass from July 28th.

It will be playable for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate members on day one, but will not be available on Game Pass Essential or Premium at launch. We anticipate it will join the Premium tier after around a year.

Is Halo: Campaign Evolved Xbox Play Anywhere?

Yes, if you're buying the game digitally instead of relying on Xbox Game Pass, Halo: Campaign Evolved will be playable across both console and PC thanks to Xbox Play Anywhere.

Will Halo: Campaign Evolved Be Available On Xbox One?

No, Halo: Campaign Evolved will not have a native release on Xbox One.

The game will launch for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC only this July, which means the only way to play it on Xbox One will be via Xbox Cloud Gaming with a strong and stable internet connection.
