A new month is once again upon us, so it's time to look at the upcoming server shutdowns on Xbox in September 2026, and fortunately there aren't too many to discuss this time around.
The most notable one here is probably GRID Legends, which is turning off its online features on September 11th. Another sports title is also shutting down its online servers in the form of Sociable Soccer 25 on September 28th. The offline portions for both of these titles will still continue to work after those shutdown dates.
Hawked is the third game to talk about, which is a free-to-play online co-op game that's been delisted for some time now, and will become totally unplayable from September 7th.
Here's the full list of three Xbox games shutting down their servers in September as things stand:
- Hawked (September 7, 2026)
- GRID Legends (September 11, 2026)
- Sociable Soccer 25 (September 28, 2026)
Beyond these, it's also worth noting that an on-rails shooter called Railbreak is disappearing off the Xbox Store on September 4th and being replaced with a rebuilt version called Railbreak DX, although it's not a free upgrade situation.
There are more server shutdowns to come before the end of 2026 as well, including the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Warzone in October. We'll be sure to continue these monthly guides to keep you in the loop along the way.
And as always, there's a chance we may have to update this guide throughout September with any last-minute additions to the list, so stay tuned for any potential new information in the weeks ahead. We're not expecting anything though!
