Definitely going to start the new mafia definitive edition today besides that I'll finish off the wolf among us and a little bit of Helldivers 2 and Forza horizon 6!

I'd definitely try get my series x repaired if it broke it would be well cheaper than buying a new one.
I have a series s as backup but that would be heartbreaking to go back to in fairness!
My series x doesn't make a sound in fairness even in the heat lately so I'll take that as a good sign it's doing ok please god! 🙏
It's going to have to last me a good couple years yet at least!
I won't be extorted into next gen over AI!

@oopsiezz I wouldn't say it sold well at all on Xbox because it's on gamepass other than that it could of probably done well.
But we don't really know what success is for Microsoft with games put on gamepass the new gears won't sell amazingly on Xbox I wouldn't say even with the beta getting mostly positive feedback.
I don't like the new siege mode myself

@oopsiezz I'd say it was due to the deal with Microsoft for exclusivity and being on gamepass.
Microsoft probably wanted them to push it out to get it on the service first and foremost and fix it along the way.
Which doesn't really work when it takes about a year to get it to what it should really be like day one.
Well that's my little theory anyways haha

Give us the update everyone wants the update to add multiplayer pvp!
There wouldn't be half as much moaning about the game if it was added from the start!

@HonestHick That's good for the people who I like it I'm not pushing my opinion as fact but I'd be a liar if I said I enjoyed the beta and seige mode.
I went to join some friends for a game and realized I was forcing myself to play the game the thought of playing another game of it was horrible I deleted it right then and haven't wanted to play it since.
I happy if the game does well as a big gears fan since the start but this particular one apart from campaign most likely won't be for me.
I do really like the new movement in the game but as for multiplayer and seige I'll hang up my gnasher and lancer for those modes most likely as the beta versions I didn't like

I'll take the series s results with a grain of salt tbh I own a series x and s myself and it performs decently enough across the board.
That said I'll eventually pick this up in sure with this permanent price drop next time it's on sale it will be very cheap 👌

Nice hopefully they fix some of the bugged achievements aswell I'll give this a download tomorrow now see if anything pops and probably start a new game aswell 😎

@BAMozzy Yeah you are right there my friend hopefully they could eventually bring classic horde mode back.

@oopsiezz The old country is a very good game more like the first two games with a very strong story probably the best in the series so far in terms of that but definitely the best in terms of gameplay

@Fiendish-Beaver Exactly they seem to not really care for whatever reason they surely can see how popular horde mode still is the on gears 5 but they want to get rid of it to in my opinion make more money off this live service siege mode.
I'm in the same boat as you I think I'll probably play the campaign and I'll be done and for someone who has also loved the series since day one and continued to play gears 5 all these years later it's a big loss.
Horde mode is more gears in my mind than it's pvp multiplayer if you get what I mean.
It's a bit of a slap in the face it seems they are telling us what we should like rather than listening to what we actually do like.
I could be wrong but I don't think most of the long time gears community will not be happy with the changes.
The game has changed fundamentally and not for the better seems they are trying to chase trends with this release.
It could be another gears judgement in my opinion.
But too be fair I really enjoyed judgement but I know I'm in the minority on that haha

@Fiendish-Beaver Imagine we will probably have the first gears game without a mercy map or blood drive that's just wrong.
To me it looks like the maps in the game will just be sections of what the open world map will be in the full game.
Maybe we are just not in the demographic of players this new gears is looking for now.
A classic horde mode for this game would still be extremely popular but it's probably not that easy to monitize as this new mode will be for them going forward!

@Fiendish-Beaver Yup I'm there with you on everything you said the seige mode is not good they tried to do Helldivers 2 but it's so much slower and less fun than Helldivers!
It's mostly just run to the objective do get in cover till you kill the bullet spongey enemies rinse and repeat.
Or run around like a man man collecting parts till you can get into cover to kill the bullet sponge boss and enemies.
Even if things go wrong in Helldivers it can be great fun!
I didn't have any fun playing seige mode at all!
If the full game doesn't have a proper horde mode that's a disgrace in my opinion gears 5 horde mode is still extremely popular today all these years later.

The biggest thing they could change for this game in my opinion is to add a classic horde mode.
I found the new seige mode tedious to play and the multiplayer is just a big cluster***k.
I like the new movement but it doesn't suit the multiplayer in my opinion and maybe doing away with active reloads in mp would help aswell as I've never played any gears game where you can one shot kill another player with the gnasher from so far away!
I'd say the campaign for this will be amazing but as it stands that's probably the only mode I'll play in this game when it releases.

@FraserG I might give the cricket game go but would love to be surprised with a Gaelic game dropping on gamepass I'm sure it would be a cheap pickup for Xbox to get on the service.
Like the pba bowling it could end up doing well I know loads who play that game now

I can't imagine the cricket game doing well id love them to surprise me and other Irish Xbox gamers and put the latest if not only Gaelic football game up on gamepass 😃
I have a friend who owns it and says its crap but it would have to do better than a bloody cricket game!

I think the game hubs are a great addition very easy to check out what you have or haven't gotten done in games I like the feature

The game for from my experience is just as buggy as any other Bethesda game!
It's no where near broken!

I have this downloaded ready to go hopefully it's good I loved the other two games but this seems very different from what I have seen.

Looks impressive I check out if this could be for me!
Price point seems decent enough which is rare for these types of remasters.

@General-Foley I played performance mode all the way through looks amazing I'd say try that mode first if it's not impressing try the others👌

Despite not enjoying the beta myself you can't deny the game looks exceptionally good on series x.

@FraserG It will feel good to get a healthy Chunk off the price alright 🙂
