I hope to finish Ni No Kuni soon, then i can start persona 5 royale. Can't wait to finally play it. Hear some great stories about it but never played it until now.
I can't wait to start it. I never played it before and am curious how great it really is. Even though i already bought it in a sale on the ps5, i decided to wait until it hit gamepass to show my support for Japanese games on Xbox.
I'm playing A Plague tale day one on gamepass. Persona 5 I will start after I finished Ni No kuni so should be shortish after it goes live. Gotham knights I bought as well on my ps5. Going to be some busy weeks.
Still playing ni no kuni on the Xbox. Such a beautiful game but a bit on the grindy side. I might put it aside when A Plague Tale lands in a few days.
On my ps5 I'm playing Atelier ryza. My first Atelier game. Very relaxing game. The alchemy is easy to understand and the battles are in a atb kind of way which gives enough time to think while not being to slow. Will certainly play more atelier games now.
To bad it was one of the games I was looking forward to playing in November. Been ages since I've played a civ type rts game and wanted to play one again
If we count multiple platforms final fantasy 14 had the biggest turnaround. It just isn't on Xbox. If we count only games on Xbox I would say No Man Sky.
@theskelf Gounded and Pentiment are fairly small scale. Grounded started with a team of like 12 people and pentiment was made with 13 people. Outerworlds 2 is probably in extremely early stages/pre production, so it doesn't use many resources yet.
It's available in the Netherlands as well, I was able to claim the rewards in the weekend after getting an achievement in Inside, was 5 minutes work . Happy to see at least once we aren't forgotten for the rewards program over here
On my Xbox it's Ni No Kuni. Very beautiful jrpg and good to see were able to play these kind of games on Xbox now. The art style is magnificent, it feels like watching a great cartoon.
On my ps5 it's 2 games. Saints row 4 for some mindless open world action. Enjoying my time with it. Atelier Ryza is the other one. Very relaxing game
I bought several ones while they were on gamepass. Ff 7 to 10, all the Yakuza games, 7 I bought before it came to gamepass, shadow of war, witcher 3, arkham knight. Mostly games I liked very much and are likely to leave gamepass ( or already left at this point) which I wanna play again. The one and done game I usually don't buy, but a 3rd party with a high replay ability or with some great dlcs, sure I don't see a reason not to buy them, since I won't buy dlc for a game I don't own
This will be a day 1 play for sure, even when i didn't finish the current game i am playing. I can always play 2 games next to each other. 3 days later Persona 5 also drops and Gotham Knights as well, then i am going to have to chose what to play. Busy times ahead of us
I can't wait for P5R and A Plague Tale. This next to Gotham Knights, Star ocean 6 and god of War all coming within like 3 weeks of each other going to make it a busy time.
Haven't played death loop yet and already played Ac odyssey in the past so going with Ni No Kuni. The only of this list which I played this month. Such a beautiful game.
The 2nd half is going to be a busy one for me. Gotham knights, A plague tale, P5r and Star ocean 6 are all on my radar. Where do I get the time to play it all
On my Xbox it's the beautiful Ni No Kuni. Started it the day it came to gamepass. It's a pretty decent jrpg, but the art style is absolutely stellar, you cna see it's partially made by Studio Ghibl. So great to see these kind of games coming to gamepass.
On my ps5 its Atelier Ryza, which is my first Atelier game. Very relaxing game mostly. Never played an Atelier game before but since reading good things about this one I decided to try it. Because the other 2 games are chill I also started Saints Row 4, for some over the top mindless action.
I just look at what I want to play first, for that game time doesn't matter. I don't have any problem with either 100 hours or short but brilliant games. As long as I'm enjoying myself with the game, the length of the game in gamepass for me doesn't matter. When I buy a game it's a whole different story though.
@kailun The John & Jack story was indeed my favorite one . Even though jack wasn't the nicest guy in the start, seeing him change so much was what made it the best. I liked the Meena story the least, i don't like cheating people so kinda didn't like her as a personality.
Over all it was a pretty enjoyable game, just the last chapter went a bit over board.
On my ps5 I already finished last stop this weekend and just started Atelier Ryza. My first ever Atelier game. This one is supposed to be the most beginner friendly and easiest to get into so let's see.
@Kaloudz They also made Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy origins, which is their only game i really played, but that one has a difficulty slider since it was also meant for Final Fantasy fans who are not used to challenging games. I know you're a FF fan, so if you like that kind of combat like in Wo Long/Nioh you should also try that one imo.
@AstraeaV Yeah same. It was my first ever Yakuza game, bought it on launch and played every yakuza game through gamepass, both judgment games on Xbox and even played Fist of the north star on my ps5 by the same developer. Yakuza or Like a dragon as its called now, is by far my favorite game series out there and can't wait for Ishin, already have that pre ordered since it was possible to pre order.
I haven't played P5R yet even though i got it on a sale on my ps5. I have it pre installed on my xbox now, since I decided to play it there. The last year i got more into jrpg and this is supposed to be one of the biggest must play, since i would love to see more jrpg on Xbox i am playing them on Xbox when they are available.
The game looks pretty cool but i will probably not play much of it since challenging games and me arent a great combo. But good to see these kind of games coming to gamepass for people who love challenging games.
@Kaloudz im pretty sure they mean difficulty. SInce Team Ninja usually makes pretty challenging games.
Sounds like they also have 1st/3rd party games in development, good to hear. Can't wait to see what they are coming up with. All kind of Japanese games are welcome.
@Reptilio yeah it's an action platformer. Fighting monsters, solve puzzles (not overly complicated) and find the best way to traverse through the level while finding collectibles. It has a very dark, spooky atmosphere.
On Xbox it's continuing with Alice madness returns. Normally not the biggest platformer fan, but the dark spooky atmosphere gives a fun dimension to it. Loving it this far. Tried Metal Hellsinger for a bit, the music is amazing and the gameplay is fun for a bit here and there but won't play it much. I also started Ni No Kuni, which I never played yet. Seems like a very relaxing game to play. The art style from Studio Ghibly is amazing.
On my ps5 it's Spiderman Miles Morales. Swinging through Manhattan is very fun to do. Tried a bit of the Valkyrie Elysium demo this morning and it seems to be okish but nothing super special
There are a few I liked very much. Obviously Tales of Arise (my profile Pic). Such an amazing action game and I loved every minute of it, even the last part which seems to be hated by some. Dq11 also is a gem, a very relaxing turn base jrpg. Nothing overly complicated and the music is also very relaxing. But my personal favorite is Yakuza like a dragon. It was my first ever Yakuza game and it got me addicted, so much fun and the side content is way to addicting haha.
Can't wait to try out ni no kuni and p5r even though I had both on Ps5 I am going to play them on Xbox just to show people with a Xbox play Japanese games as well
Haven't played it yet but had it on my ps5 in the backlog. Good to see more of these games are coming to Xbox, even if it's older games its a start, slowly we're getting more and more Japanese games on Xbox which gives me choice where to play a game and the Xbox only people a chance to also enjoy these games
@UltimateOtaku91 problem is thrse articles generate clicks so they keep posting them. Even though everything that's happening is normal in other acquisitions but since it's the first time in gaming its so big they want to make everything larger than it really is
Metal Hellsinger is pre installed already and i'm interested in Ni No Kuni, Melodies of steel and Danganronpa (Still need to start the series). Ac odyssey i already played and the other game meh not my thing really. Deathloop is also coming next week, so where do i have to find the time to play all i want.
It was what I expected and what they announced. I expected a few Japanese series to come to Xbox and we'll get a few "new" ones, which arent on xbox yet. It's going to be a long proces to get all Japanese developers on board and especially the makes of the niche games. They slowly need to get more ground in Japan and with the series s + gamepass and them showing they are getting more and more Japanese games on Xbox, the ball will start slowly rolling.
Would love to see some Japanese Xbox exclusives like in the 360 days. But I'm also fine with more Japanese games in gamepass or on Xbox. Well see what they will announce
@Carck Yeah from what i read now on other sites it seems to be an official name change. Totally fine with that, but it's going to confuse people who know the series as Yakuza. It wasn't clear in the stream there was an actual name change, so i can understand it now confuses people who didn't know the Japanese name of the game series and that it was the same as the studio name.
@Kaloudz @themightyant
I fully understand your confusion and i do hope that at the time it will release they will just use the western name. I think and expect since these announcements were made by RGG itself in Japanese all other communication will be made with the western names. So i assume it will be Yakuza Ishin and Yakuza like a dragon 2, but i'm not sure
@Kaloudz It's the official Japanese title for the games. Ryy ga gotoku literally means like a dragon, which was also the name of the games in Japan. For western releases they got renamed to Yakuza. i wonder if they will keep the Like a dragon name now which is the original name or they will actually release as Yakuza Ishin and Yakuza Like a dragon 2.
I wasn't expecting to wake up to this news, i was hoping for it to show up at the RGG showcase in a few hours, but man, this is some good stuff. Instant day 1 for me, RGG never dissapoints me. Let's see what else they will show this afternoon, but i am hyped

If they manage to make it as different enough from that game im all down for it, there are way to few games set in Asian countries and those countries are awesome for historical settings.

With A Plague tale and Persona 5 ill keep myself busy for a long while and i might even try Scorn out at some point. And then we still have the rest of the games which have to be announced that month and a potential buy of Star Ocean. Looks to be another extremely busy month for me

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 24-25)
On my Xbox it's Ni no kuni. Since it came to gamepass last week I had to give it a try. That studio Ghibly art style is amazing. The game itself is also pretty relaxing, you catch familiars and have them fight for you. Makes me think of Pokémon but never played that before hehe. But yeah charming and enjoyable jrpg. Might also start deathloop since I'm playing 2 jrpg atm and need something for a change next to it.
On my ps5 I already finished last stop this weekend and just started Atelier Ryza. My first ever Atelier game. This one is supposed to be the most beginner friendly and easiest to get into so let's see.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 10-11)
