Still playing ni no kuni on the Xbox. Such a beautiful game but a bit on the grindy side. I might put it aside when A Plague Tale lands in a few days.

On my ps5 I'm playing Atelier ryza. My first Atelier game. Very relaxing game. The alchemy is easy to understand and the battles are in a atb kind of way which gives enough time to think while not being to slow. Will certainly play more atelier games now.

On my Xbox it's Ni No Kuni. Very beautiful jrpg and good to see were able to play these kind of games on Xbox now. The art style is magnificent, it feels like watching a great cartoon.

On my ps5 it's 2 games. Saints row 4 for some mindless open world action. Enjoying my time with it. Atelier Ryza is the other one. Very relaxing game

Re: Talking Point: How Often Do You Actually Buy Xbox Game Pass Games?

Lavalera

I bought several ones while they were on gamepass. Ff 7 to 10, all the Yakuza games, 7 I bought before it came to gamepass, shadow of war, witcher 3, arkham knight. Mostly games I liked very much and are likely to leave gamepass ( or already left at this point) which I wanna play again. The one and done game I usually don't buy, but a 3rd party with a high replay ability or with some great dlcs, sure I don't see a reason not to buy them, since I won't buy dlc for a game I don't own

On my Xbox it's the beautiful Ni No Kuni. Started it the day it came to gamepass. It's a pretty decent jrpg, but the art style is absolutely stellar, you cna see it's partially made by Studio Ghibl. So great to see these kind of games coming to gamepass.

On my ps5 its Atelier Ryza, which is my first Atelier game. Very relaxing game mostly. Never played an Atelier game before but since reading good things about this one I decided to try it. Because the other 2 games are chill I also started Saints Row 4, for some over the top mindless action.

@kailun The John & Jack story was indeed my favorite one . Even though jack wasn't the nicest guy in the start, seeing him change so much was what made it the best. I liked the Meena story the least, i don't like cheating people so kinda didn't like her as a personality.
Over all it was a pretty enjoyable game, just the last chapter went a bit over board.

On my Xbox it's Ni no kuni. Since it came to gamepass last week I had to give it a try. That studio Ghibly art style is amazing. The game itself is also pretty relaxing, you catch familiars and have them fight for you. Makes me think of Pokémon but never played that before hehe. But yeah charming and enjoyable jrpg. Might also start deathloop since I'm playing 2 jrpg atm and need something for a change next to it.

On my ps5 I already finished last stop this weekend and just started Atelier Ryza. My first ever Atelier game. This one is supposed to be the most beginner friendly and easiest to get into so let's see.

Re: Xbox's Phil Spencer Visits SEGA Booth At TGS 2022, Where Persona 5 Royal Was Playable

Lavalera

@AstraeaV Yeah same. It was my first ever Yakuza game, bought it on launch and played every yakuza game through gamepass, both judgment games on Xbox and even played Fist of the north star on my ps5 by the same developer. Yakuza or Like a dragon as its called now, is by far my favorite game series out there and can't wait for Ishin, already have that pre ordered since it was possible to pre order.

On Xbox it's continuing with Alice madness returns. Normally not the biggest platformer fan, but the dark spooky atmosphere gives a fun dimension to it. Loving it this far. Tried Metal Hellsinger for a bit, the music is amazing and the gameplay is fun for a bit here and there but won't play it much. I also started Ni No Kuni, which I never played yet. Seems like a very relaxing game to play. The art style from Studio Ghibly is amazing.

On my ps5 it's Spiderman Miles Morales. Swinging through Manhattan is very fun to do. Tried a bit of the Valkyrie Elysium demo this morning and it seems to be okish but nothing super special

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Favourite JRPGs On Xbox?

Lavalera

There are a few I liked very much. Obviously Tales of Arise (my profile Pic). Such an amazing action game and I loved every minute of it, even the last part which seems to be hated by some.
Dq11 also is a gem, a very relaxing turn base jrpg. Nothing overly complicated and the music is also very relaxing.
But my personal favorite is Yakuza like a dragon. It was my first ever Yakuza game and it got me addicted, so much fun and the side content is way to addicting haha.

Can't wait to try out ni no kuni and p5r even though I had both on Ps5 I am going to play them on Xbox just to show people with a Xbox play Japanese games as well

Re: Twelve Years Later, 'Ni No Kuni' Has Finally Arrived On Xbox

Lavalera

Haven't played it yet but had it on my ps5 in the backlog. Good to see more of these games are coming to Xbox, even if it's older games its a start, slowly we're getting more and more Japanese games on Xbox which gives me choice where to play a game and the Xbox only people a chance to also enjoy these games

Re: Six Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (September 15)

Lavalera

Metal Hellsinger is pre installed already and i'm interested in Ni No Kuni, Melodies of steel and Danganronpa (Still need to start the series). Ac odyssey i already played and the other game meh not my thing really. Deathloop is also coming next week, so where do i have to find the time to play all i want.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2022 Event?

Lavalera

It was what I expected and what they announced. I expected a few Japanese series to come to Xbox and we'll get a few "new" ones, which arent on xbox yet.
It's going to be a long proces to get all Japanese developers on board and especially the makes of the niche games. They slowly need to get more ground in Japan and with the series s + gamepass and them showing they are getting more and more Japanese games on Xbox, the ball will start slowly rolling.

Re: Like A Dragon 8 Is Coming To Xbox Consoles In 2024

Lavalera

@Carck Yeah from what i read now on other sites it seems to be an official name change. Totally fine with that, but it's going to confuse people who know the series as Yakuza. It wasn't clear in the stream there was an actual name change, so i can understand it now confuses people who didn't know the Japanese name of the game series and that it was the same as the studio name.

Re: Like A Dragon 8 Is Coming To Xbox Consoles In 2024

Lavalera

@Kaloudz @themightyant
I fully understand your confusion and i do hope that at the time it will release they will just use the western name. I think and expect since these announcements were made by RGG itself in Japanese all other communication will be made with the western names. So i assume it will be Yakuza Ishin and Yakuza like a dragon 2, but i'm not sure

Re: Like A Dragon 8 Is Coming To Xbox Consoles In 2024

Lavalera

@Kaloudz It's the official Japanese title for the games. Ryy ga gotoku literally means like a dragon, which was also the name of the games in Japan. For western releases they got renamed to Yakuza. i wonder if they will keep the Like a dragon name now which is the original name or they will actually release as Yakuza Ishin and Yakuza Like a dragon 2.

Re: GoldenEye 007 Officially Announced For Xbox Game Pass

Lavalera

@Balta666 oh I know m8, I don't expect it to be some modern masterpiece. I played ff7 earlier this year and that one also felt extremely dated in some ways but I still enjoyed it for what it was, sure it would have been totally different if I would experienced it during the time it was live, but I still wanna see what it is what people are so excited for

Re: Talking Point: Which Of These Is Your Favourite Assassin's Creed Era?

Lavalera

@Kaloudz oh I would absolutely love that, but the problem with a Japan setting is, it will be compared to Ghost of Tsushima. And no offense to the ac games but Ghost was absolutely brilliant. If they manage to make it as different enough from that game im all down for it, there are way to few games set in Asian countries and those countries are awesome for historical settings.

Re: Talking Point: Which Of These Is Your Favourite Assassin's Creed Era?

Lavalera

I prefer the open world rpg trilogy. Much more my type of game than the first few, tried the old ones back in the days but never got into them really. Not a big fan of too stealthy games I prefer action combat and then here and there some stealth like I could play odyssey, which is by far my favorite. But I understand the older fans which aren't happy with the latest games, totally different games this way. But yeah infinity seems to be more a mixture so let's hope that one can please both the old fans and the open world rpg fans. But will be tough
