Xbox boss Phil Spencer has been snapped alongside Xbox's Sarah Bond, both visiting the Persona booth at this year's Tokyo Game Show before the series returns to Xbox. Microsoft has had a big presence at TGS 2022 with their own showcase, however, it appears the team hung around for much more than that.
It looks like the two Xbox execs took the time to visit SEGA's booth, where Persona 5 Royal was playable on Xbox ahead of its October launch. Did the boss go hands on to try things out? We'd like to think so, if he had the time that is!
Either way, we'll all get chance to play Persona 5 Royal on Xbox real soon, as the game hits Xbox Game Pass day one on October 21st, 2022. There's only a month to go folks!

I haven't played P5R yet even though i got it on a sale on my ps5. I have it pre installed on my xbox now, since I decided to play it there. The last year i got more into jrpg and this is supposed to be one of the biggest must play, since i would love to see more jrpg on Xbox i am playing them on Xbox when they are available.

Return to Xbox? When has a mainline Persona game ever hit Xbox? Did I miss something? In any case, this is great for fans of Persona who game on Xbox.
@Rafie you haven't missed anything, only persona games that have been on xbox previously were persona 5 strikers and the arena fighting game, all mainline Persona's have been on playstation since the first on playstation 1
@Rafie They probably mean the Persona games in general, Like Persona 4 Area/Ultimax.
Very excited to see this game come Xbox. It is up there as one of the best rated games of the PS4 generation and in the top 100 rated games of all time.
@Kaloudz a remaster of both Skies and Shining Force 3 would be my dream.
@Lavalera I played Yakuza Like a Dragon on Series S. Great RPG similar to an Adult oriented Persona game.
@Rafie They had an SMT game on OG Xbox but it wasn't Persona.
If nothing else it's just great to see people in such high positions just enjoy gaming like the rest of us.
@AstraeaV Yeah same. It was my first ever Yakuza game, bought it on launch and played every yakuza game through gamepass, both judgment games on Xbox and even played Fist of the north star on my ps5 by the same developer. Yakuza or Like a dragon as its called now, is by far my favorite game series out there and can't wait for Ishin, already have that pre ordered since it was possible to pre order.

@UltimateOtaku91 Even Persona Strikers wasn't on Xbox. Just Switch and PS4. The old Arena games yeah, but no mainline.
I want a human size Morgana. I know in the minority with that one but …. >.<
@Rafie I think they might be referring to Shin Megami Tensei Nine, that was on the OG Xbox, since Persona is a subseries to SMT.
Edit: But then again, Soul Hackers 2 released last month so that would’ve been the return to Xbox and not P5R if they meant general SMT. So they must’ve meant Persona, and in that case only the Arena games have released on Xbox before.
I can't wait to finally get into the Persona series. I have heard nothing but great things about 5 Royal, but I am probably most looking forward to playing 4 Golden. I almost bought a PS Vita many years ago just to play that.

Persona was one of my first RPGs on the PS1, and wish we could also get ports of the PSP Persona 1 and 2 games.
