Re: Battlefield 6 Players Think They've Spotted Evidence Of AI-Generated Cosmetics

Kaloudz

@Kramlar I disagree bud. Whilst it's fine to disagree with the practice of AI use, I think it's entirely different to judge a game (or a team) based on the merits of development processes. This will end up at a point where communities start "boycotting" and that's a step too far IMO. Actively looking for a problem will only ever serve to disappoint.

One way to look at it. Let's pretend this issue was never discovered. Let's pretend that this game went strong for three years and was hailed as the best shooter ever made. Would it have made the lick of difference then? Nope. It's only a problem because we're making it a problem.

Re: Battlefield 6 Players Think They've Spotted Evidence Of AI-Generated Cosmetics

Kaloudz

I honestly think this is going to become a new industry obsession, and I find it absolutely pointless. Let's assume they did use AI in parts of the game. So what? Does that take away the fun that players are having (and have had since launch) or the acclaim the game raised at launch and beyond? No. People need to lighten up, stop looking for imperfections, and just enjoy life...

Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Devs Bemoan Lack Of Awards At TGA 2025

Kaloudz

They didn't get robbed. They got trampled on. E33 was very deserving of the awards they've accumulated. We're talking about a small team that absolutely rattled the RPG space out of nowhere, and delivered arguably one of the greatest turn-based RPGs since the late 90s / early 2000s.

I do, however, think it's time that RPGs got some sub categories for award ceremonies. Turn-based RPGs and ARPGs can almost be entirely different. KCD2, for example, I see as a life-sim RPG. It's almost unfair to group games like this together if you ask me. Nonetheless, E33 beats every RPG ten times over.

Re: Netflix Is Buying Warner Bros. For Even More Money Than Xbox's ActiBlizz Deal

Kaloudz

This will sail through on the basis that MS got theirs through with concessions, and on the basis that Disney exists (whom I'm assuming are bigger than Netflix across the board?). I don't see any issues preventing this merger myself.

Sidestepping that - it'll be interesting to see these sharing IP. Netflix IP for games and WB IP for Netflix movies and shows - without having to worry about licence fees.

Re: Destiny 3 Is Apparently In 'Extremely Early Development', Should Still Launch On Xbox

Kaloudz

The problem with Destiny is, as Mighty points out, they vault content. Bungie are world class when it comes to gunplay and world design, but anything outside of that, frankly, they suck at. They often need guidance from their community of fans to shape things up the way they should have been shaped from the get-go.

The next problem is the storytelling and expansions. They don't have a great track record there neither. To me, I felt like Destiny 2 closed the series off quite well. Destiny 3 at this point feels unnecessary, and I'm far convinced that Bungie has what it takes to learn from their mistakes. This just feels like clutching at straws to stay relevant.

Re: Black Ops 7 Campaign Review (Xbox): Black Ops Pedigree Can't Save This Mess Of A COD Campaign

Kaloudz

They need to stop the "filler" years IMO. This happened with the reboot of MW and again here - it's an unnecessary expense for what is ultimately bad press. They only do this to keep the annual cycle of CoD MP going. If they're smart - they'd scrap the filler campaigns and just release "something" for the MP side of things.

Also, I don't get why they keep dipping into the future warfare vibe. We've been here before and it doesn't end well. Boots on the ground - raw warfare, is where most of the interest is. That's why classic CoD and Blops 1 are considered the best.

Re: Microsoft CEO Says Xbox 'Wants To Innovate' With Its Next-Gen Console

Kaloudz

@themightyant @ILuvGames @Coletrain The price is exactly my concern too. I think between the Pro 5 and the Rog (and MS saying the other day about the next Xbox being premium) we could see a very hefty price tag next gen - which might even throw me off. I wont spend more than £600 on a console. No matter how great it is. I'll wait for a sale or get refurbished lol.

That said, I'm optimistic too. I agree that having barriers removed such as online play going away and having more storefront access is only a good thing in my book. However, I do think MS need to step carefully and listen to feedback - which they're usually good at fortunately - if indeed it takes a while for the penny to drop lol.

Re: Xbox Confirms Its First Two Game Pass Titles For December 2025, And They Both Look Brilliant

Kaloudz

Routine wins out the two for me. I'll definitely be firing that up if my backlog is clear by then lol.

@CrispyMango92 Now that it’s almost here, I can’t help but be cautious 13+ years of development is insane.

Totally with you on that. 13 years seems like a little too long, unless the devs have been in and out of development, there's no real reason for it to take that long. I think Duke Nukem Forever was done before that time lol

Re: Microsoft CEO Says Xbox 'Wants To Innovate' With Its Next-Gen Console

I know I'm often seen as the outlier here, but I'm massively excited for the next Xbox. I think every little piece of info and hints and teases we've gotten so far (throwing in MS' constant insight to how they want to reinvent the wheel) points to a very tasty picture indeed. I've said it a thousand times but I think next Xbox will absolutely be a defining moment in gaming and I think it's going to turn a lot of heads.
