Ever since Resident Evil Requiem was revealed earlier this year, it's been rumoured that series stalwart Leon S. Kennedy would star in some role - despite Grace Ashcroft being the centre of attention in marketing materials so far. Well, thanks to the ever-reliable source that is a PlayStation Store leak, we now know that the luscious-haired RE legend will indeed be a part of Requiem next year.

Yep, ahead of The Game Awards later this week, new artwork for the latest Resi title has appeared on PSN. It stars the two aforementioned characters; this being the first time we've had proper confirmation of Kennedy's existence in Requiem thus far.

Here's the full Resident Evil Requiem artwork:

Resident Evil Legend Leon Kennedy Confirmed For Requiem Thanks To Store Page Reveal1

As for Leon's exact role in Resident Evil Requiem, well, that's still shrouded in mystery for now. Back in June, Capcom talked a little bit about why Mr. Kennedy isn't the main protagonist, but clearly, the company wanted to cram him into the game in some fashion.

As for that The Game Awards mention there, whilst Requiem isn't confirmed for the show just yet, an appearance is now looking pretty likely. Host Geoff Keighley helped reveal the title at Summer Game Fest earlier this year, and with this artwork appearing just two days before the event, it's looking increasingly likely that we're going to get some juicy details on the next RE title this week. The game's also out in February, so there's not long left to make such a reveal!

As for TGA at large, that's happening this Thursday, and we'll chuck our full The Game Awards 2025 guide down below for all the details on Keighley's next event.

Excited to see Leon in action as part of Resident Evil Requiem? Talk to us about all of this down in the comments.
