Forza Motorsport Won't Get Any Major Updates In 2026, But Support Will Continue

As another year of Forza Motorsport comes to a close, the team at Turn 10 has shared what's next for the game in 2026, which includes various bits of support and fresh content but nothing in terms of major updates.

In a blog post on the official Forza website, it's mentioned how the game will receive special events and competitions along with previously released Featured Tours and reward cars on a monthly basis next year, in addition to online servers that will remain active.

If you're expecting new cars, tracks or any other kind of new features though, that's not in the plans.

"As our team shifts its focus toward delivering the best possible experience with Forza Horizon 6 in 2026, we do not plan to introduce new cars, tracks, features, or regular bug fixes for Forza Motorsport. However, we will continue supporting the game by keeping online servers active, hosting special events and competitions, and reintroducing previously released Featured Tours and reward cars on a monthly basis, until all content is available for you to enjoy anytime. We hope you continue racing with us on Forza Motorsport in 2026 – see you at the track!"

This ultimately comes as no surprise considering Turn 10 reportedly suffered significant job losses earlier this year, and even Xbox boss Phil Spencer alluded to the studio as being "scaled back" in an interview a few weeks ago.

It's nice to know Forza Motorsport will continue with some kind of support in 2026 though, and now it remains to be seen whether the series will make a grand return in the future. As things stand, it sounds like it might be getting a rest.
