But I'll never understand why these kinda games are made and who really, really, really, wants play them.
For me, I did not drop $500 on a next-gen console, $4500 on a TV, $3000+ on sound system, to play games that look like something from prime game boy color days.
Got message today from Microsoft to buy anthem before it leaves game pass so it's part of my library forever. LMAO! Do they not realize beginning 2026 servers are being taken down with no patch for offline play?
Still upset with anthem. Had soooooo much potential but EA messed it up. Could been amazing new franchise.
Battlefield 6. At least every match has possibility of being different due to classes and destruction. COD is just static maps and gameplay. I never understood the appeal.
@Ricky-Spanish The tone deaf delivery of Xbox One by Mattrick, really, really, really, hurt Xbox, and took the full blowing sails out of excitement, loyalty, and fun, for Xbox fans.
This is all on nadella. Easily one of worst leaders in the industry today.
It's no surprise to see a decline in Microsoft. Nadella ONLY cares about cloud and making everything an unnecessary and overpriced subscription.
I used to purchase Office every release. And I ABSOLUTELY refuse to, or ever will pay for a subscription. So that's a sale Microsoft lost. Doubt I'm only one.
Nadella is single handed setting Microsoft up for failure and no way out bankruptcy.
Played Grounded. Really, really, really, wanted to like it. But it has the usual fails for me that all tree puncher games have. Spend more time gathering resources for weapon, armor, and camp gear, than actually paying the game or story. Feels lot more like unnecessarily long busy work than enjoying the story and game.
If 6 truly brings back the play and vibe of battlefield 3 and 4 with all the awesome destruction and levolution of 4. Really think I may be in on day one for this game.
@Sol76 Exactly! People that not like it act like it's adding 5 more mins to access the game.
It barely adds any extra time to access the game. But I can understand their frustration. It's not like they asked for the feature. So it's nice the option to turn off is there.
@Dampsponge But, but, but, but, but..... Digital media is like the greatest thing..... like since sliced bread.
Your comment absolutely is true. Just another example of why physical media is only way to go. Reading, all to very often, articles like these should tell anyone, start supporting physical media again.
@Deformedpye You obviously don't understand how business works. The lowest common denominator will always win out first. In this case the Series S. Then will progress from there.
It is complete waste of money and time not start at ground floor and establish the base before moving on. Games would be much different on the X if the S didn't exist.
Very, very, very curious about this game and really looking forward to playing it.
Hopefully the "live service" aspect of it not harbinger of death as it was for Redfall.
And for the record, I genuinely felt Redfall got unnecessary bad rap. If released at $40 - $50 with updates have now. People absolutely would enjoyed it more and sold better.
Further evidence to what I've said on this site for years....
If Microsoft want keep game pass in existence. Within next two years, game pass is going to hit $40 - $50 monthly subscription. Game pass ultimate already at $20 a month.
Should NEVER got rid of Xbox Live. Better value for gamers that want to experience Xbox and play online, without being forced to pay extra premium for tons of worthless games on quality level of game boy color games.
@Questionable_Duck "The Microsoft of today, however, the one run by Satya Nadella, would never do anything like the original Xbox. Satya and the Microsoft shareholders clearly only care about one thing: how to make as much money as fast as possible."
And that is why exactly how you bankrupt a business, stifle all potential for long term success and growth, eliminate the ability for residual return.
Pretty much destroy the very purpose of owning and holding on to stocks.
Nadella is essentially destroying Microsoft. His whole mindset is to find a way to make EVERYTHING an overpriced and very unnecessary subscription model.
People are fed up with subscriptions. Now passed the point of fatigue. If subscription services were profitable, then so many merges and closings of many services.

Re: Turn-Based TMNT Game Announced For Xbox, Releases Next Week
@Elbow Not knocking on you at all.
But I'll never understand why these kinda games are made and who really, really, really, wants play them.

Re: Turn-Based TMNT Game Announced For Xbox, Releases Next Week
I'll wait for it be on game pass.
You know, since it is best way support developers.
Re: A Month After Xbox Layoffs, Call Of Duty Dev Raven Software Officially Unionises
My guess nadella will try find way layoff 50% of staff now since are union?
Nadella most terrible, horrible, narrow minded CEO in history of Microsoft.
Re: Battlefield 6 FAQ Reveals Multiple Performance Modes On Xbox Series X|S
@HardRockGamer Game prices are ridiculous today.
Yet publishers want raise prices over $70....despite posting record profits.
Absolutely disgusting if ask me. Pure greed.
Re: Battlefield 6 Beta: Start Date, Access Times & Preload Details On Xbox
Looking forward to this very much!
Last 3 Battlefield games been absolute garbage. Last good battlefield games were 3 and 4. Heck I STILL play battlefield 4 to this day.
Re: Talking Point: Should Xbox Bring Back Limited Edition Consoles?
Limited edition consoles?
LMAO!!!
Microsoft needs to learn to release just ONE CONSOLE specs. Series S nothing but issues, upon issues, upon issues, with trying to run games.
Xbox and Series X been better off overall and more successful, if Microsoft saw and realized the error of Series S and canceled it.
Re: Halo Infinite Fall Update 2025 Launches This Week, And It's Packed With 'Major Game Updates'
Imagine if Halo Infinite launched with all these features day one. More people been excited and it been more successful game.
Re: Battlefield 6 FAQ Reveals Multiple Performance Modes On Xbox Series X|S
@HardRockGamer It will. Think they usually hit that EA pass on Game Pass Ultimate a year after release.
Re: Report: BioShock Remake Cancelled As Upcoming Sequel Hits Development Troubles
I'm probably in minority. But I thought Infinite was terrible and major disappointment.
I even bought Songbird Edition day one. Still have the box and everything it came with.

Re: Talking Point: Battlefield 6 Or Black Ops 7, Which Xbox FPS Are You Looking Forward To Most?
Battlefield 6. At least every match has possibility of being different due to classes and destruction. COD is just static maps and gameplay. I never understood the appeal.
Re: Battlefield 6 Gets Official Xbox Release Date, Open Beta Begins In August
Crap. This looking be first game I've bought on day one, at full price, in long, long, long, time.
Leaps and bounds looks better last 3 Battlefield games.

@Ricky-Spanish The tone deaf delivery of Xbox One by Mattrick, really, really, really, hurt Xbox, and took the full blowing sails out of excitement, loyalty, and fun, for Xbox fans.
To this day Xbox never fully recovered.

Re: EA Insists No Price Increases Are Planned As Battlefield 6 Nears Xbox Launch
When EA even realizes that $80 games are ridiculous. That's a sign that - - $80 games are ridiculous.
And hardly anyone will pay that.
Re: Two Xbox First-Party Games Now Shipping On Disc In 2025, Says Retailer
@Scummbuddy Yep which is exactly what I'm saying. It's hardly ever both.
Re: Two Xbox First-Party Games Now Shipping On Disc In 2025, Says Retailer
Microsoft has lost its way.
It all goes back to leadership. Or in case of Microsoft...the lack of it.
Re: Two Major Xbox Games Are Being Delisted In August 2025
@Kaloudz Maybe. Destiny already infamous for removing DLC people already paid for.
And since it's destiny DLC, it's already incredibly overpriced and severely lacking content.
Re: Two Major Xbox Games Are Being Delisted In August 2025
Anthem had such potential. Huge shame.
That is not sarcasm. Really dropped the ball not letting them try make the game better over time.
Re: Microsoft CEO Comments On Recent Xbox Layoffs, Doubles Down On AI
Say it all the time. Nadella is terrible and needs to go. He is destroying Microsoft in the long run. Nadella has zero foresight.

Dark souls is no big deal to me. They can keep that game and franchise.

Spending will really go up in couple years when game pass ultimate is $40 month.

@WildConcept6 Never mind my reply, that's what you were saying. Apparently reading comprehension is challenging for me today.
Re: Talking Point: A Month Later, What Do You Think Of The New Xbox Game Hubs?
@WildConcept6 There is an Events widget thingy you can use to show what events are going on. Believe can even set it to pop an alert to your guide.
I find it useful.

All of us be MUCH, better off in doing so.

Just another example of why physical media is the only way to go.
Not to mention physical media, picture and sound quality far, far, far, superior to streaming.

And 2k looks forward to robbing everyone of all their money to buy VC coins.
Shame on people for buying them. And even more shame on 2k for allowing VC coins to even exist.
NBA 2k used to be amazing franchise. All 2k sports were. Heck lot better than EA.

@Ricky-Irish "If they stop making consoles so be it!

Hard to do that when Playstation controller is terrible and very uncomfortable. Not to mention dissatisfied with the Playstation interface.
Xbox is by far superior to me. And I'm sure many, many, many, others agree.

Shouldn't Microsoft continue to fund the project and put it on game pass where it will be the most successful game ever! and sell billions of copies?
You know, since game pass is such wonderful, amazing, successful, sustainable business for Microsoft and gamers.

Re: Is Xbox Game Pass Unsustainable? Arkane Founder Sparks Huge Debate On Social Media
I've said FOR YEARS on this very site game pass is not sustainable and definitely not a good thing.
If Microsoft wants keep game pass going, look for $40 - $50 month subscription fees within next 2-3 years. It's just not worth that.
Xbox Live was MUCH better product, MUCH better deal.
