@DaPrince Yep. No joke. I call it Indie Pass. Because that's all it is.
No joke. I have full home theater setup with LG G4 OLED 77 inch TV, Atmos surround sound, Xbox Series X, etc. I did not pay all that money to play 8 bit level quality, game boy color games, jumping over lava pits. If wanted that, I'd go game stop and buy a game boy color.
Of course, people will say, then don't subscribe to Indie Pass then. Well Xbox really not giving us choice and forcing it down our throats. Want play multiplayer? Got have Indie Pass. Honestly that is only thing keeping the flawed and failing business model of Indie Pass around. It's simply not worth the $10-$20 a month. Unless really like indie games. Which...again...at that price go to game stop and buy several games boy color games every month to keep. Forever.
Xbox Live so superior to Indie Pass. I could pick up 12 months Xbox Live on sale for $40. Where is Indie Pass 12 month discount? There isn't one. And that's not only terrible but disgraceful as well. We can all thank nadella for this. Just another reason wish he'd get forced out Microsoft. The guy is straight garbage destroying Microsoft.
Keep saying, and keep believing, Indie Pass is going to be $30-$40 month in few years if it going to survive. And that's about $20-$30 too much. Give me 12 months at $80. That's fair enough.
@Ricky-Spanish Agree. Sad they release that as options in games. Especially when consoles not able run it efficiently or effectively.
Have Series X, LG G4. Set Diablo 4 to Performance Mode or what ever does the ray tracing, etc. The game was insanely choppy. Turned it off immediately.
@FraserG Sadly it's little bit of both. Microsoft with their cancelation streak here recently, I'm concerned for pretty much any game.
Love fable franchise and really want play it. But also really wanted play Contraband, perfect Dark, scalebound, that Bethesda space MMO, etc. But never will. Really makes me sad.
Would not blink an eye or be surprised if announcement came out fable was canceled.
@Coletrain All nadella cares about is turning everything into an extremely unnecessary, incredibly overpriced subscription service. Also, the cloud. And now he's on this kick of getting into AI super heavy.
Truly believe if Microsoft did not get those big money government contracts over the last 5+ years, Microsoft be in very concerning position as a company.
If think all the layoffs last few years at Microsoft was bad. Multiply that by infinity without those contracts.
Even though I played tons Battlefield 6 past two weekends - so much that completed all the challenges. Battlefield 4 is still my favorite one for multiplayer. I may change my mind after play full Battlefield 6 at launch though.
@WildConcept6 "Really, it baffles me how gamers would defend AAA publishers cutting corners just to attack the series S."
What lot people not really think about is developers always have cater to the lowest common denominator. This gen it was the Series S. It held back this gen and definitely the Xbox Series X. Just look at the almost weekly articles speaking to Series S having issues trying to run games.
Glad you enjoy Series S. But all of Xbox be in better place if it never existed.
@Fiendish-Beaver Definitely agree with you. But the issue not so much Microsoft as it is nadella. The guy needs to go. Like yesterday. Like decade ago.
@Titntin If not fan of Microsoft for that long, you must really despise what Microsoft become under the (lack of) leadership of nadella.
Nadella is destroying Microsoft. He also ruined fantastic products by not allowing them to grow. There was some truly amazing and superior products nadella stopped. Easiest example being Zune. Much better product than iPod.
@Feffster Series S was disaster of decision for this generation. Under powered, constant news articles almost on weekly basis highlighting its issues with trying have game run properly, pathetic hard drive space, and most important holding back the Series X.
Xbox this gen been so much better without it. Honestly I think be even better quality level of games if Series S never existed. Covid did not help this gen either.
But I'll never understand why these kinda games are made and who really, really, really, wants play them.
For me, I did not drop $500 on a next-gen console, $4500 on a TV, $3000+ on sound system, to play games that look like something from prime game boy color days.
Got message today from Microsoft to buy anthem before it leaves game pass so it's part of my library forever. LMAO! Do they not realize beginning 2026 servers are being taken down with no patch for offline play?
Still upset with anthem. Had soooooo much potential but EA messed it up. Could been amazing new franchise.
Battlefield 6. At least every match has possibility of being different due to classes and destruction. COD is just static maps and gameplay. I never understood the appeal.
@Ricky-Spanish The tone deaf delivery of Xbox One by Mattrick, really, really, really, hurt Xbox, and took the full blowing sails out of excitement, loyalty, and fun, for Xbox fans.
This is all on nadella. Easily one of worst leaders in the industry today.
It's no surprise to see a decline in Microsoft. Nadella ONLY cares about cloud and making everything an unnecessary and overpriced subscription.
I used to purchase Office every release. And I ABSOLUTELY refuse to, or ever will pay for a subscription. So that's a sale Microsoft lost. Doubt I'm only one.
Nadella is single handed setting Microsoft up for failure and no way out bankruptcy.
Played Grounded. Really, really, really, wanted to like it. But it has the usual fails for me that all tree puncher games have. Spend more time gathering resources for weapon, armor, and camp gear, than actually paying the game or story. Feels lot more like unnecessarily long busy work than enjoying the story and game.

Re: Helldivers 2 Sales Estimates Suggest It's Selling Extremely Well On Xbox
But if Indie Pass is so awesome and great deal for developer. Why didn't it launch there?
Re: Indiana Jones Dev: Xbox Game Pass Was A 'Hard Balance' Because Players Quickly Drop Out
Just another example of Indie Pass cannibalising game sales.
Its not good for long term health of developers or business.
If Indie Pass such a wonderful thing for gaming and developers, then why doesn't every game release on Indie Pass? It doesn't. Because it isn't.

Re: Turok: Origins Dev Reveals Xbox Performance Targets, Admits 60FPS Is Too Difficult For Series S
What? Yet, another article that continually shows Series S is/was a mistake?
Well, I'm surprised. Not.
Series S biggest mistake Xbox ever did. Even bigger mistake than kinect.
Re: Battlefield 6 Dev Gives Reasoning Behind No Ray Tracing On Any Version, Including Xbox Series X

Re: Digital Foundry 'Just Can't Recommend' Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater On Xbox Series S
@Ricky-Spanish But....
It does run better on Series X. Just saying. Lol
Re: Digital Foundry 'Just Can't Recommend' Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater On Xbox Series S
Look! Yet, another article that states obvious of Xbox Series S, being a complete disaster that should never been released.
It's like every week there an article stating this over, and over, and over, and over, and over....
Biggest mistake of this gen, the Series S.
Re: These Six Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (September 2-16)
Nothing that interests me at all.

Re: Hyperkin Is Going Full-PS5 With Its New 'Competitor' Xbox Controller

Re: Xbox Exec Talks About Three Core Aims For Microsoft's Next Console
@Fiendish-Beaver But....Nadella will see Steam as being in the cloud and think makes people buy a subscription that is game pass.
All nadella cares about is the cloud, overpriced and unnecessary subscription services, and lately, is on AI kick.
Nadella is terrible and destroying Microsoft, more and more, every day.
Nadella needs to go.
Re: Delta Force Comparison Shows Difference Between Xbox Series X And Series S
An article on the Series S, yet again, showing how inferior of a console it is. And, yet again, showing how terrible of an idea it truly was.
Embarrassing how almost weekly there are articles showcasing how this console should never seen the light of day.

Re: Ex-PlayStation Exec Still Not Convinced By 'Dangerous' Xbox Game Pass Model
Lmao I've said for years game pass is terrible idea and incredibly flawed business model.
If game pass is going to exist, look for it to be $40 - $50 a month within next two to the years.
If game pass is such a great, wonderful thing, why isn't GTA and Battlefield launching Day One on game pass?
Re: Pick One: What's Your Favourite Battlefield Game On Xbox?
@BacklogBrad That Operation Locker on Battlefield 4 very close to Metro I thought. Both maps absolute fun.
Re: Pick One: What's Your Favourite Battlefield Game On Xbox?
I loved bad company 2. But Battlefield 4 best multiplayer experience and most fun I EVER had playing Battlefield online.
Re: Battlefield 6 Beta Comparison Shows Difference Between Xbox Series X And Series S
@BAMozzy Somebody skimmed over or simply did not read the beta NDA.
Lol
Re: Battlefield 6 Beta Comparison Shows Difference Between Xbox Series X And Series S
Another example of Series S being a mistake and terrible anchor for Series X.
Re: Xbox Is Officially 'Stopping' Development On First-Party Game Contraband
Very disappointing. Really looked forward to this game. But not surprised since not heard or seen anything from the game.
Yet, ANOTHER example of developer or publisher not following the simple and failsafe, Six Month Rule.
No idea why they not follow that rule. It only makes best experience possible for gamers and developers.
Re: Rumour: Starfield Could Be Getting Interplanetary Travel Ahead Of Expansion 2 On Xbox
@Ricky-Spanish I'm sure they told Todd. And I'm sure Todd simply said, "It just works." He's notorious for that.
Todd is absolutely a detriment to bugthesda games at this point. Stubborn. Narrow minded. Refuses to change or update game engine.
Re: Battlefield 6 Servers Getting Hammered A Full Two Days Before Xbox Open Beta
I'm going to be on later today when get home. Hope servers not crash by time I'm on.
Really looking forward trying. Hope it is truly more like Battlefield 3 and 4. Last three Battlefield games were pure garbage online multiplayer.
Re: Xbox Dev Turn 10 Goes Dark As Questions Remain Over The Future Of Forza Motorsport

I'll wait for it be on game pass.
You know, since it is best way support developers.
Re: A Month After Xbox Layoffs, Call Of Duty Dev Raven Software Officially Unionises
My guess nadella will try find way layoff 50% of staff now since are union?
Nadella most terrible, horrible, narrow minded CEO in history of Microsoft.
Re: Battlefield 6 FAQ Reveals Multiple Performance Modes On Xbox Series X|S
@HardRockGamer Game prices are ridiculous today.
Yet publishers want raise prices over $70....despite posting record profits.
Absolutely disgusting if ask me. Pure greed.
Re: Battlefield 6 Beta: Start Date, Access Times & Preload Details On Xbox
Looking forward to this very much!
Last 3 Battlefield games been absolute garbage. Last good battlefield games were 3 and 4. Heck I STILL play battlefield 4 to this day.
Re: Talking Point: Should Xbox Bring Back Limited Edition Consoles?
Limited edition consoles?
LMAO!!!
Microsoft needs to learn to release just ONE CONSOLE specs. Series S nothing but issues, upon issues, upon issues, with trying to run games.
Xbox and Series X been better off overall and more successful, if Microsoft saw and realized the error of Series S and canceled it.
Re: Halo Infinite Fall Update 2025 Launches This Week, And It's Packed With 'Major Game Updates'
Imagine if Halo Infinite launched with all these features day one. More people been excited and it been more successful game.
Re: Battlefield 6 FAQ Reveals Multiple Performance Modes On Xbox Series X|S
@HardRockGamer It will. Think they usually hit that EA pass on Game Pass Ultimate a year after release.
Re: Report: BioShock Remake Cancelled As Upcoming Sequel Hits Development Troubles
I'm probably in minority. But I thought Infinite was terrible and major disappointment.
I even bought Songbird Edition day one. Still have the box and everything it came with.

Battlefield 6. At least every match has possibility of being different due to classes and destruction. COD is just static maps and gameplay. I never understood the appeal.

Crap. This looking be first game I've bought on day one, at full price, in long, long, long, time.
Leaps and bounds looks better last 3 Battlefield games.

When EA even realizes that $80 games are ridiculous. That's a sign that - - $80 games are ridiculous.
And hardly anyone will pay that.
