I have LG G4 77 inch that is not able to utilize the Dolby Vision feature with Xbox games. Unless it was fixed recently. Last I read, the issue is makes game contrast darker, like sheet put over the "camera". It is VERY noticeable.
Dolby Vision 2 will be available before Xbox addresses and fixes the Dolby Vision issue.
Further more, I believe Winds of Winter will be completed and released before Xbox fixes Dolby Vision. Not joking.
Basing each console in their own respective era and time. The original Xbox to me was the best hands down. Absolutely my favorite console even to this day.
@JetmanUK Xbox Live could pick up on sale, one year, for $10. That was incredible value. Soon as Indie Pas...I mean Game Pass became a major thing and bumped Xbox Live, I was like, people have no idea how much they will miss and belatedly appreciate Xbox Live.
@Fiendish-Beaver Is Mortal Shell 2 a Souls like game in being ridiculously hard for no reason at all, and taking 12 hours of try and die only to advance just 10 mins into the story?
That's main reason I'll never play ANY Souls like game. To me it's the masochistic video game equivalent of black leather mask with zipper for mouth.
Xbox Live, for its experience, value, and overall benefit was vastly superior to Game Pass and with hard Microsoft ramming the failed business model Game Pass down our throats.
@Masquerade443 "They work forever & transition automatically to other devices."

I buy physical media to this day (so now you know at least one). Physical media is absolutely superior, especially in AV quality. No one can stop me accessing any movie I own (Playstation people will tell you much different story with movies they've lost access to AFTER already PAYING full price).
A lot of people today not have the foresight to realize they are going to be paying a lot more for things in digital media when forced buy a movie or album multiple times when their access is blocked or stopped. And that's not even counting the price gouging consumers will face in all digital.
All digital is a scam. Any time a company or government says something is good or better for you - it's not.
@FraserG "The idea of a future where consoles are replaced by streaming solutions doesn't sound exciting to me whatsoever...."
Exactly. You nailed it.
No one wants to stream low resolution, latency filled experiences, that make gaming the equivalent of watching a movie today on VHS when already own superior 4k transfer.
Plus, the AV quality of physical media is Leaps and bounds superior to all digital. Not even a question or debate.
I've said before, and I'll keep saying it, if next Xbox DOES NOT come with an INTERNAL disc dive. I will NOT purchase. Ever. It's that simple. It's not negotiable.
No internal disc drive. No buy.
I've been with Xbox since launch day back in Nov 2001. No internal disc drive is and WILL BE bridge too far and the end for me.
"Reward full Xbox completions or rare achievements with MS Rewards points"
I'm 99.999999999% certain I read decades ago (want say Official Xbox Magazine) that was the original purpose of achievements as currency to purchase DLC. Which is the main reason I absolutely despise achievements even to this day.
I will avoid this cheap brainwashing attempt to screw gamers into dystopia of an over priced digital world.
I'm not a lazy obese loser too big get out my chair to put disc in or switch disc out. I'll not be bothering to swap licenses anymore than Arianna Grande needs a diet.
But heard that stupid machine is not in it which absolutely has me wanting to play the game.
That is the ONLY reason never got into assassin's creed. For me, I would enjoyed it million times more and actually played the series if machine was out. Feel franchise be best if played as historical period pieces. Not some crazy sci-fi stuff.
I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, miss MLB 2k. The pitching controls leaps and bounds best I've ever played. Fielding and batting, I enjoyed as well.
@Balaam_ Thank you. You understand exactly my wish. People not really take the time or foresight to understand things. That's why we are in situations we are in now.
@PROPS Oh forgot say totally agree on supply chain issues. I call it the orange juice effect.
Florida will get hit hard by hurricanes and say had raise orange juice prices due to weather. Following year, basically no storms. But prices not go down.
Such a racket.
Game prices will do same in all digital world. People not see it. But will be upset soon when it happens.
@PROPS Absolutely I'm the same and try to buy on sale too. Really find it helpful to utilize the wishlist feature and visit that on console every Tuesday evening. My thing is just wish people would realize they will be getting shafted soon. Look at physical copy price, then look at digital price. Why is the digital price more? The overhead is just not there. No disc pressing. No shipping. No damaged product cases, etc. It will be very, very, very, very, anti-consumer soon when force $80-$100 standard edition on gamers. And people brought it on themselves. Majority just trying be trendy or hipsters.
And definitely not get me started on that covid shame. Business did not miss a beat lol The whole "covid charge" many charged was ridiculous and incredibly fraudulent and unethical. It's like why am I being charged this? What's it for?
This is straight up a ploy to price gouge consumers for games. Look forward to $80 - $100 standard editions and pretty much no sales. Everyone asking for all digital going to get exactly what asked for. But it's absolutely not what wanted.
Mark my words. This will NOT be good for consumers.

Re: Obsidian, id Software & Others Confirmed To Be Affected By Xbox Layoffs
I've been saying it for years, and people insult or make fun of me over it.
Game pass has ruined Xbox. The reality of that failure has come to roost. Unfortunately, it also come to take people's jobs.
It is sad time. A time that people should wake up and acknowledge that.
Game pass is and always was going to be a failure with how it was setup. Game pass should only been indie games at most.
Game pass is an unsustainable business model. It has always been an unsustainable business model.
