Re: Xbox Officially Has Its First $80 Game, And It Won't Be The Last

GuyinPA75

@TapeLoader This is one reasons why I detest game pass so much because Microsoft forced it on us just to cancel Xbox Live.

Only way to play online now (far as I know) is to pay for game pass. And that's $10 - $20 a month.

Xbox Live you could buy on sale for about $60 for 12 month card. Making it $5 a month.

Re: Xbox Officially Has Its First $80 Game, And It Won't Be The Last

GuyinPA75

$70 and $80 games just means the chance I ever play the game is now slim. Might play the game year or two after release, if feel like it. I have plenty backlog keep me occupied. $70 and $80 for video game is simply plain ridiculous and pure greed.

And this is coming from someone that has disposable income as just spent $6200 on home theater setup.

Hopefully their greed leads to their downfall and realize how stupid those prices are.

Re: Fallout 76's New Fishing Update Is Dividing Opinion So Far

GuyinPA75

@Kaloudz Basically it's broken down into levels. You do boring, repetitive, busy work, tasks to earn points that move you up the ladder (or maybe i best to say into another section). Each level you pick an item out that level and move up a level, repeat. Vast majority of good items are paywall locked behind the fallout 76 subscription service.

I will add this is after a revamp they did with seasons. Was even much, much, much, worse before.

Either way it's very time consuming. I was having play miminum 2 hours a night for months to complete a season. And when season ends - it ends. So if miss some days or get really tight. Not going complete the season.

Turned me off playing the game again. 110%.

Re: Fallout 76's New Fishing Update Is Dividing Opinion So Far

GuyinPA75

The Seasons in Fallout 76 are waaaay too insanely long to complete. I religiously completed EVERY season for six or so.

Then I said this is ridiculous. Having to play 2 or 3 hours a night, EVERY night, for months in end. Had ZERO time to play any other game.

Stopped playing the game. Really never went back. They absolutely need fix Seasons by reducing it being able complete in week or so.

Re: Xbox Building A Handheld 'Makes No Sense', Says Former Blizzard Boss

GuyinPA75

@Joe_Danger Glad you enjoy handheld gaming. But you are one of a very, very, very, minority. All because you enjoy handheld gaming not make me wrong.

If you were in a great majority, the Xbox first party handheld world been released by now. Microsoft knows there is no money to Xbox handheld market.

Nintendo is another story. They are like when you want a burger you go to McDonald's or burger king. Not KFC or Popeye's.

But... an executive that feels the world is exact because in their eyes they like something - so everyone else must too. Guess I've always been correct on more than just Xbox handheld market.

Re: Talking Point: Will This Lost Xbox Game Studios Title Appear At Microsoft's 2025 Showcase?

GuyinPA75

@Kaloudz Welcome. Just looking out for you.

My guess the game would have some thing going with lights and flashing. I could be very wrong about Persona since not played it. Pretty sure is JRPG. I can't stand them for all the annoying... voice work... visuals... characters carrying around 8 ton, 50 swords with ease when they're like 5'2". Don't get me started on how their mouths open large enough swallow a truck in one bite for no reason.

Pretty sure you figured out by now, I can't stand anime and JRPGs. Lol

Re: Marvel's Black Panther Game Reportedly Cancelled As EA 'Sharpens Focus' On Its Lineup

GuyinPA75

@IssaBrvndo @Bigmanfan My whole thing with the "new" captain America is it really seems Disney wanted get Will Smith for the part and he either declined or he slapped Disney too and said, keep my name out captain America's mouth.

Plus they completely wasted and did poor job with what could been great character in Red Hulk. I still have a the issues when series came out. What a way open a series straight out knocking a Watcher.

Think was issue 22 or 24 until finally revealed Red Hulk identity.

Re: Xbox Has Reportedly 'Sidelined' Plans For A 2027 First-Party Handheld

GuyinPA75

For starters, the perceived "demand" for Xbox handheld (handhelds, in general) are so super inflated, maybe Microsoft have finally made correct decision for once.

Second, it's no doubt nadella that pulled the plug on the device. All nadella wants is, push anything cloud and anything he can make an unnecessary, overpriced subscription for.

With game pass failing due to majority of games being on quality level of Game boy color games and inevitable HUGE price increases to barely keep afloat. Nadella realized won't be able extort and grift money from customers with handheld. So it's done for now. Definitely for the best.

Re: Talking Point: What Game Franchises Would You Pay $80 For On Xbox?

GuyinPA75

@dskatter Pitchford recently made an incredibly tonedeaf comment about borderlands 4 price point.

Absolutely one par with how Don Mattrick destroyed Xbox One launch and the Diablo "you have a phone" rebuttal.

Unless borderlands 4 has an incredible AND reasonably priced loot box collector's edition (previously bought borderlands 2 and 3 this way), I will purposely just wait for borderlands 4 collection with all DLC on sale for $20.

Just on principle, alone.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Have High Expectations For The Xbox Games Showcase 2025?

GuyinPA75

@BAMozzy I absolutely NEVER, EVER, get excited about game showcase.

It is incredibly annoying see game that looks fun, then at end it says, "Coming Fall 2095".

I IMMEDIATELY lose ALL interest and just not care about playing it at that point and never end up playing the game. Too big chance, game will get canceled, delayed into eternity, be broken on release, etc.

The Six Month Rule is the only way to go. When developers started following that I'll actually care about the game, and get excited to play it.

Re: 'Huge' Number Of People Cancelling DOOM Pre-Orders Over 'Botched Physical Release'

GuyinPA75

@Tasuki Here is what people really need consider when thinking all digital is greatest thing since sliced bread.

Price gouging will be more prevalent and worse. Why isn't digital games cheaper day one than physical release? Where is shipping cost? Where is cost of making and printing disc? Packaging costs? Where is warehouse cost to store and move during release? Where are return costs? Yet, today, we are looking at $80-$100 games? If ask me, a $80 physical game should be no more than $65 on digital. At most.

We own nothing. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Only renting the "rights" to whatever it is. That's all.

Want to watch a movie or TV show? Well what streaming service is it on today? Spend time searching for nothing that is simply unneeded annoyance and inconvenience. Was on such-and-such last month? Great it moved to another place? Oh? Now I have subscribe (pay even more money) to another or new streaming service. If able hold that movie or TV series in my hand, I can just insert in player. Not have pay anymore since own it. Not have search find whatever streaming service it's on. Then not forget for person like me that has nice home theater setup. The physical disc experience and performance is vastly superior in picture and sound compared to streaming.

That's tip of iceberg. Digital is not as good as people think it will be. Trust me.

Re: The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Becomes 'Fully Realized' As Dev Ends Support On Xbox Title

GuyinPA75

I thought on that too. Dead by daylight had Micheal Myers character in it. So had me ruling Myers out.

Daylight also had Freddy too. I'm just thinking since Elm St needs to have dreams versus stalk and slaughter. That may lead to some different gameplay/element/mechanics.

Not sure how to implement that? But really does offer something different not already done. Would have me curious for sure.
