@Banjo- Yeah from what I've seen, the game benefits from the series X performance in general. I'm generally not super hardcore nit-picky about missing visual effects.
Me too! Shattered Memories was my first SH game, and I freaking loved it.

This is just corporate garbage speech for saying "we don't want to give away free 360 games anymore, so hurry up and get GamePass". There's no convincing reason to end this service.

@Banjo- Wow, I remembered incorrectly. The 360 patch was cancelled. 🤦‍♂️😢 But I did watch some footage of the game played on a Series X, and at least in terms of performance, it looked alright to me.

@Banjo- @Dusk_Actual Konami did "patch" it, though. It just still doesn't visually resemble the original release, as was the main complaint from players. There's videos on YT comparing it with and without the patch. Also, it helps to play on Series X/S over the PS3 version.

Now I'll finally make the point to get this. XIII was an excellent, unique game in its heyday.

@BBB Goldeneye's a masterpiece, and I for one appreciate remasters & remakes more often than not.

@Titntin I can see the problem in regards to Xbox, but with Switch titles (that aren't downloaded required), most boot from the card directly. I get nearly everything physically for Switch, plus it saves on SD card space.

@BBB It doesn't. The whole debate comes from the idea that in principle, free speech should apply universally (aside from direct threats of violence, doxing, yelling "fire!" in a crowded theatre for no reason, etc...)
From the American context, their 1st amendment does NOT apply to any private platform, it only applies to the government being unable to silence you.
When you sign those terms of service agreements, one is agreeing to abide by the rules of the platform. Violate the platforms rules, you suffer the punishment for it.

Now we can have a debate if those protections should be expanded and apply to private platforms or not. It's easy to see the arguments in both directions.

What drives me nuts is that some individuals, especially those who lean right on the political spectrum, don't fundamentally understand the difference and distinction, and thus they call it "ERR MAH GURD BIG TECH CENSORSHIPZ". They especially cry and scream that they are being targeted, when in actuality right-wing voices and content dominates Facebook and Twitter in terms of popularity and engagement, as proven by data that tracks this information, easily found on Google.

This gets into an even bigger issue how powerful international corporations have far too much control over our lives, and they're to be held accountable, not praised and worshipped like heroes, which sadly far too many do. Personally for the more libertarian left-types like myself, these platforms are too restrictive and we should have such rights and civil liberties extended to them.

Personally I agree 100% with Joe, and I'm not even a fan of his. YouTube's crackdowns on fair use are draconian and need to stop. But he's delusional if he thinks he can take on CBS and/or Google in court and win.

Anyway, at face value, such blanket statements like "big tech is censoring free speech, full stop!" is both incorrect and highly misleading without the added nuances. Hope that helps.

Honestly, what's the track record of Jeff Grubb? Using words like "probably" and "I'm thinking X" is more indicative of opinion, not fact. Granted, people in his position have insider knowledge that the general public doesn't have, but those who like dropping hints about rumoured projects need to be looked at very closely for consistency. 🤔

@Jsb5150 Haha, that's always the way. 😂 I haven't played the new BWC versions, so I can't say if it's actually worse, but TS2 always had aiming sensitivity trouble. 🤔

Even the original release of TS2 has overly-sensitive aiming. TS3 improved on virtually everything from 2, including controls.

M$ does deserve a lot of credit for their BWC efforts ever since they did the whole 180 damage control manoeuvre before Xbone came out. Old games really do deserve preservation.

Nintendo used to be the kings of BWC up through the Wii U. The loss of VC on Switch, and being unable to use Wii U discs with Switch really pains me. 😢

@jrt87 Timesplitters 2 always had an overly sensitive crosshair. It's not a "generational" thing. They fixed that problem with Future Perfect. Honestly, 2 is great but Future Perfect is the much better game. Why these writers always overlook #3 is whack. 🤦‍♂️
