Ahhhh I see now. Somebody on that marketing team should have done 5 minutes of research on the electronic Google machine before deciding on that statue design, lol. 😂 But was it worth yet another internet meltdown? No.

Ah yeah the stadium level was definitely awesome. 😁 DNF wasn't great, but it was enough of a novelty and guilty pleasure that I still found enjoyment from it. I'm probably too easy to please, lol.

@Kaloudz Last year, actually. My first game was Duke Nukem 64 from way back when. I adore the Duke series, even Forever I liked which most hated, but it was enjoyable to me. 🤷‍♂️

The AC Shadows thing I'm barely familiar with, at least the Torii gate element. There's some historical evidence for Yasuke maybe being real, maybe fictional, we don't know, but the main point with AC that the vocal online minority forgets is that it's supposed to be historical FICTION.

How relevant is Duke to a lot of audiences these days, if we're being honest? I doubt a lot of younger Gamers even have any idea who the character is. While I don't personally think the blowback would be that big of a deal, especially depending on the form the game takes, but until the publisher grows a pair and announces a new entry, it's open to speculation.
I remember there being a new Leisure Suit Larry game released as recently as 2020, and nobody gave a crap about that, and that series was known for being objectifying and raunchy.

I don't have terminal online social media brain rot, so I don't care about these hollow online controversies. Every side is doing it. It's ridiculous and beyond nauseating. I really couldn't care less. If something looks interesting, I'll check it out.

@Isolte @Kaloudz Comments like these always puzzle me because we have no shortage of violence in gaming; it's as violent as ever, yet that's not an issue.

Then we have games like Stellar blade which got most of its attention due to Eve's ass and her various outfits.

GTA6 is likely to be raunchy as hell, and that's likely be GOTY and sell 100M+ in no time.

Maybe I'm just the oddball in that I can separate reality from fantasy; don't act like or treat real people in real life like how some of these games depict their worlds. *Shocking * 🤯🤷‍♂️
To me I think the perception that another Duke or raunchy Saints Row would fail doesn't quite match reality. 🧐

*And for the record I enjoyed the Saints Row reboot from a gameplay perspective, at least as a co-op game w/ my friend, as we'd done with 3 and 4.

@nomither6 As angry as I was with the XBOs launch, and ultimately going with PS4 at launch, I eventually got a XBO S on launch and quickly gained appreciation for it, the BWC really being a key factor.
Also bought a XSX at launch, with an extra controller (on the same bill), and through a mix-up/clerk error with returning that unopened extra controller a few days later, the store accidentally refunded me the entire console, which they never noticed! 😂 😂

Re: Xbox Fans Create Master List Of 1100+ Games With 'Play Anywhere' Support

EVIL-C

@Major_Player They're still salty about cross-play, and their majority hates even the idea of GamePass (regardless of the reported financials), so I'm sure play anywhere would be one of the worst things ever to them as well. 🙄😒🤦‍♂️

For Nintendo, well, every switch game is essentially "play anywhere", lol. 😝

Re: Ubisoft's Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Team Reportedly 'Disbanded'

The few times Ubisoft makes a great new original title, it almost never seems to be deemed successful. If not for Nintendo backing Sparks of Hope, that likely would've not been produced. POP finally returns, and it's deemed a failure. No follow-up to Starlink, or Fenyx. No sequel to Rayman legends... All genuinely good, fairly recent Ubisoft games. Ugh... So sad... 😔

Re: Talking Point: Which Licensed Games Deserve A Comeback On Xbox?

EVIL-C

Simpsons Arcade game needs a physical retail release. Hit and Run would be great as well, or even better, a sequel.

@ironcrow86 I was just thinking Scarface. I played the Wii port and it was absolutely fantastic. A direct sequel with an entirely original story, or even just a straight remaster/remake would be most welcomed either way. 😍

@PhileasFragg Nightfire absolutely deserves to be brought back for a new generation. Easily the best Bond game EA produced. Bloodstone from Activision was also very good and would be a great pick.

Re: Indiana Jones And The Great Circle 'Story DLC' Confirmed

@BAMozzy So take away GamePass, Xbox has pretty much nothing left. 😕 GP is nice, but I personally don't use it that much. I prefer to just buy stuff when it gets cheaper. And anyone who already has a decent PC can use PC GamePass, reducing the appeal of Xbox hardware further. More prices increases again so soon won't help either. These are just my objective observations, from someone who wants the hardware to continue. The Series hardware is barely at half of what Xbone reached nearly 4 years in (around 28M now). Not good.
