Re: Talking Point: Next Year Marks A Decade Since Xbox's Genius Backwards Compatibility Program

EVIL-C

@nomither6 As angry as I was with the XBOs launch, and ultimately going with PS4 at launch, I eventually got a XBO S on launch and quickly gained appreciation for it, the BWC really being a key factor.
Also bought a XSX at launch, with an extra controller (on the same bill), and through a mix-up/clerk error with returning that unopened extra controller a few days later, the store accidentally refunded me the entire console, which they never noticed! ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: Xbox Fans Create Master List Of 1100+ Games With 'Play Anywhere' Support

EVIL-C

@Major_Player They're still salty about cross-play, and their majority hates even the idea of GamePass (regardless of the reported financials), so I'm sure play anywhere would be one of the worst things ever to them as well. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

For Nintendo, well, every switch game is essentially "play anywhere", lol. ๐Ÿ˜

Re: Ubisoft's Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Team Reportedly 'Disbanded'

EVIL-C

The few times Ubisoft makes a great new original title, it almost never seems to be deemed successful. If not for Nintendo backing Sparks of Hope, that likely would've not been produced. POP finally returns, and it's deemed a failure. No follow-up to Starlink, or Fenyx. No sequel to Rayman legends... All genuinely good, fairly recent Ubisoft games. Ugh... So sad... ๐Ÿ˜”

Re: Talking Point: Which Licensed Games Deserve A Comeback On Xbox?

EVIL-C

Simpsons Arcade game needs a physical retail release. Hit and Run would be great as well, or even better, a sequel.

@ironcrow86 I was just thinking Scarface. I played the Wii port and it was absolutely fantastic. A direct sequel with an entirely original story, or even just a straight remaster/remake would be most welcomed either way. ๐Ÿ˜

@PhileasFragg Nightfire absolutely deserves to be brought back for a new generation. Easily the best Bond game EA produced. Bloodstone from Activision was also very good and would be a great pick.

Re: Indiana Jones And The Great Circle 'Story DLC' Confirmed

@BAMozzy So take away GamePass, Xbox has pretty much nothing left. ๐Ÿ˜• GP is nice, but I personally don't use it that much. I prefer to just buy stuff when it gets cheaper. And anyone who already has a decent PC can use PC GamePass, reducing the appeal of Xbox hardware further. More prices increases again so soon won't help either. These are just my objective observations, from someone who wants the hardware to continue. The Series hardware is barely at half of what Xbone reached nearly 4 years in (around 28M now). Not good.

Re: GameStop Takes Jab At Xbox 360 Store Closure, Backfires Immediately

EVIL-C

@BAMozzy Conveniently left out "if you didn't buy digitally at the time, and it's been delisted, and there's no physical copy, you're SOL". I can't buy Deadpool, Armed and Dangerous, Forza 1, 2 or 3, 50 Cent BOTDS, nor NBA Jam on fire digitally.
NBAJOF never got a physical copy, and Deadpool and 50 Cent are quite expensive physically.

Also, with 80+ Million 360s sold, chances are one can still find a working unit. Plus all the games I mentioned (sans NBA) are BWC from disc on an Xbone/XSX. The PS1 is 30 years old, and there are plenty that are functional today, so the idea of a broken console stopping someone isn't very convincing. This isn't the Jaguar CD we're talking about.

Re: Xbox 360 Store Completely Removed From Console Dashboard After Shutdown

EVIL-C

@BAMozzy On the contrary, I still return to Perfect Dark every now and then. GoldenEye being released last year with Rare Replay was wonderful, and it's just as fun to me now as it was in 1997. I wish the FPS genre could replicate the magic of those 2 titles today; the spy genre is virtually dead.
The loss of Vigilante 8 Arcade is another huge loss, which again the modern market offers nothing like it.
And I love BWC. This past May I finished Far Cry for the first time, with several others from XB/360 eras waiting to be started. I also chipped away again at Timesplitters 2 a few weeks ago on XSX, and I have zero complaints. ๐Ÿ˜

Re: How To Install Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 On Xbox Game Pass

EVIL-C

@Dimey A similar thing happened to me trying to install BLOPS 3 from a disc! I couldn't for the life of me understand why my download kept failing, so I had to download a digital copy using the disc as a confirmation key, like a BWC game does.
