Well to be honest, if Microsoft wants more money than my Game Pass deal, they should skip the Xbox One indeed, as I now don't see any reason at all to make the step up from my $125 Black Friday purchased All Digital Xbox One.

That's a really weird bug, and something that tells me I'll stick to wired gaming headphones for now.

Just received the HyperX Cloud Alpha - already had the HyperX Cloud II. A lot of people state the Alpha is better, and it has better sound positioning and a more defined bass, but it misses the crispness in the higher notes and I already got a very bed remark about the mic the first time I tested it.

Wow, I voted a tad too quick I see here. My personal Game Pass top 5 is:

1. Forza Horizon 4 - It reminded me racegames can be real good fun. It just keeps on giving, so even though it's released earlier, why shouldn't it be?

2. Tell Me Why - I may have cried a couple of times.

3. Tetris Effect Connected - One of the most 'flowing' Tetris experiences, now with a great added multiplayer - the Zone mechanic adds some depth to the very simple base mechanics.

4. Call of the Sea - Framedrops can drag you out a bit, but this is such a good-looking, nicely paced puzzle-adventure game!

5. Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair - Has got some of that good old 'Oh wow that's SO clever' moments.

@orionreplay Impressions like these are so far off to everything that has been stated in the trailers and amazing marketing campaign, it's not even fun anymore.

So 3 hours of Gears and 100 hours of Skyrim? That's enough of an addition for one day.

I'm only nominating two games, as MS Flight Simulator isn't on Xbox yet and shouldn't be in this list imo.

• Tetris Effect: Connected; the kind of game that really drags you into it with a great balance between short burst-play ans long gaming sessions.
• Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a thing of beauty.

Hivebusters - nice. Seems like a great Game Pass title with its promised 3 hours of coop gameplay.

And Skyrim! Whoah, where do I get the time?

@Fenbops I tested 25 affordbale gaming headsets around the 50 dollar price point. The Kraken was the biggest letdown of the test. Horrible mic quality (full of crackles and distortions on the line) and lack of proper sound positioning and soundstage.

Ha, details about sound positioning and mic quality this time around. Great improvement over the last review, keep it up.

Tried out Phogs hoping for a fun two-player game. Appears boring like hell. I'll stick to Unravel 2.

Played the free Google Stadia demo and liked it, but already felt I wouldn't continue to like it - and the screenshots here confirm there are a lot of the same puzzles going on in this game. Just another Ubisoft copypaste formula, I'm afraid.

I beg to differ the writing is great, by the way. Every single word those gods said to each other in the demo, failed to interest me at all.

I just with they return the newsfeed of my closest gaming friends in the app. I loved seeing what activity they did and which achievements they got...

I'm sorry, but I don't consider a $150 gaming headset midrange.

There are terrific gaming headsets well under $50. For instance, the $20 Mpow EG10 blows the Turtle Beach Recon 50P and Turtle Beach 70 (for $40-$60) out of the water. Better directional sound, more space between sound effects and a better microphone.

That's what I'm missing in this review, sorry. How good is the positioning of sound effects? How big is the soundstage? Is the bass heavy or light? How does the headphone cope in crowded action scenes, and in the combination of many game sounds with other peoples voices?

The TurtleBeaches I've tried failed heavily in this regard.

For those of you who want some couch-coop fun, try Rayman Origins! Great, great platform game with awesome pacing and hilariously fun levels - better still than Rayman Legends.

It seems like every single game is on sale this time around, and still sales don't really convince me since Game Pass.

PS Plus and PS Now going together is all but bad. Especially with a 3-years-for-100-dollars deal.

Game Pass vs new games. That's the difference.

So the Zombie mode ISN'T PlayStation exclusive? Wow, great communication...

Furthermore, everything sounds like your everyday Call of Duty.

How much have you actually tested, Darren? I've just done an extensive test with over 25 gaming headsets, and am very disappointed in TurtleBeach' and especially Razer's offerings in lower price segments. In fact, the Razer Kraken X I tested at around $60, has a way worse microphone than almost all $20 models I've tested.

Better wait for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, these seem like 'regular' deals...

Tetris Effect can be downloaded for PC, but not for Xbox One at the moment.

Downloading Bejeweled 3, Fe, Need for Speed Heat and Rocket Arena from the EA catalogue though.

Not a sneaker-kind of person, but this looks seriously awesome.

Aragami seems to have a solid 2-player coop mode, something worth noticing.

Wow, I remember Full Spectrum Warrior looking absolutely realistic back in the day.

Besides Swimsanity, Aragami also seems to have a great coop mode worth checking out. A terrific month for couch coop this.

I recommend playing Carto, released earlier this week. Very creative little puzzle game.

I really looked forward playing this on Game Pass. Then I did, and instead of discovering planets, you have to find buckets of ice-breath-thingies (?) to keep yourself alive in the first minutes.

Deinstalled it.

@Broosh Hey, it's still Halo. So 4/5 stars.

And forgot to add: the Slayer multiplayer maps are possibly the most balanced maps in the entire series. Very very good.

• Singleplayer too short
• Singleplayer takes too long before reaching great looking levels
• No splitscreen coop
• Finished it twice, forgot the ending twice
• I can't stand Locke...
• Maybe the best Slayer multiplayer maps after the original Halo
• Amazing sound in online multiplayer
• It's still Halo...

@WesEds This, precisely this. Microsoft improved everything on the current Xbox as well. The new Xbox doesn't feel new yet, I have no temptation to buy it - yet.

But my current Xbox has seen a lot of fantastic updates. Hurrah!
