In the age of online gaming, headsets are as important as ever if you want to stay on top of the leaderboard. Even in single-player games, they can make certain experiences more immersive.
With this in mind, SteelSeries has released a new update for its Arctis 9X headset that resolves an odd glitch that was happening to Xbox Series X|S users, where the console would power on the headset was powered off.
"Fixes an issue with Xbox Series X|S where the console turns on after powering off headset"
As noted above, you can perform this update by connecting your headset to the PC via USB. This latest update for the Arctis 9X also comes with some fixes and various other stability improvements.
Did you encounter this problem at all? Do you even wear a headset when you're playing games on your Xbox? Let us know in the comments.

That's a really weird bug, and something that tells me I'll stick to wired gaming headphones for now.
Just received the HyperX Cloud Alpha - already had the HyperX Cloud II. A lot of people state the Alpha is better, and it has better sound positioning and a more defined bass, but it misses the crispness in the higher notes and I already got a very bed remark about the mic the first time I tested it.
Nice. Actually just ordered this based on this story. Hope it’s everything they say it is.
Does anyone know how the sound compares to the wired Arctis 1X? My son has the Arctis 1X and it sounds absolutely terrible and so quiet. I’m wanting the Penrose X but it’s £300 and I haven’t even got a Series X yet.
