One edition of the online version of a 8 years old game is exclusive to PlayStation for three months! What kind of deal was it? MS should put GTA V in Smart Delivery program so that everyone would receive the online version for free rather than boasting about 3 months of exclusivity of only the online standalone version!
I always hate these terms like "X years in development". People always think this means that Y game has been in "full development" for X years, like the case of Coalition were in the full production of Gears 5 for 3 years. I remember when people were saying "Cyberpunk was in development for 8 years" without knowing that the full production of that game had started only from Autumn 2016. Pre-production never cut down the process of full development. A game can be in pre-production for 10 years and still take the standard of 3-4 years of full development.
@UltimateOtaku91Well, one can argue that TES franchise has a legacy on Xbox/PC platforms as well. Morrowind was a full Xbox/PC exclusive and Oblivion came only to Xbox/PC when it was released.
Plus, this is just the beginning of the generation. It's not like PS5 has +100 million users that Bethesda would lose! So it makes more sense for MS to persuade potential users to buy an Xbox rather than be like "It's okay guys, go buy PS5. We will just release our games on PlayStation as well in order to avoid losing lose millions and millions of players there!"

I guess one of the reason is that Xbox fans do not care about such things, they have the best features and services in their console, and they will soon get the best first party games as well. But PlayStation fans have nothing but "exclusives". That is the only reason they purchase a useless PlayStation that ONLY has good first party games. And consequently, they always worry about keep having the higher ground in this category. Cause TES VI being Xbox/PC exclusive will end their reign in first party.
@Lajt No, it's a backward compatible game from OG Xbox with no FPS boost. And it was developed in an era where gamers cared more about the content of video games rather than being obsessed with running everything on 8K/120fps !
@Trmn8r The first Bad Company had even a better level destruction. I recently replayed it using XGP Ultimate and it was just magnificent to see how great the destruction still is!
I just saw it on Major Nelson website last night and I was like "Whaaaat?!" I have sooo many memories with these games back in the day. I really loved them and played them over and over again. But the price is too high considering how old these two games are... I just hope they end up dropping in XGP.

The design, atmosphere, enemies' variety, environments, characters, boss fight, etc. It had a RE4 vibe to it and in my opinion, it was as well made as RE4 too.
@Snake_V5 Hardware becomes cheaper down the line but so do consoles. MS & Sony keep cutting their consoles' price and put them on massive sales (especially in autumn holidays). So I guess whenever it is cheaper for them to manufacture consoles, they just lower the price rather than profiting.

Having played all Uncharted and TLOU games on PS4, I must say they are not wrong.
ND games have never been that good in terms of gameplay. They have great visuals, gorgeous environments, good characters but they are nothing special in gameplay. People usually do not notice that because these games are filled with too many cutscenes. But this was more visible to me in TLOU 2 which was over 25 hours of boring repetitive gameplay (if you call it gameplay!!)
Remedy fully owns Alan Wake now. So I guess MS have to pay them a cut as long as they keep AW on Game Pass.
But I'm more disappointed to see FF 9 leaving the service. I know SE games are on game pass only for 12 months but I never had the time to play this one and I doubt to be able to finish it now.
(For anyone who does not know, games tend to leave 14 days after the MS's official announcement)
I believe MS still holds the right to the Scalebound ip. So I guess IO Interactive could be working on Scalebound: Rebounds? Either way, as a person who LOVES fantasy games, I am looking forward to this project!

I'm completely fine with multiplatform FromSoftware games as well. The only problem is that Sony kept securing their games as PS Exclusive. So that's why I would really welcome FromSoftware to join XGS (Even if they continue releasing their games on PS. We only want their games to also be available on Xbox)
Dark Souls has always been one of my top 5 favorite games and I would love to see MS purchasing them and preventing their future games to become PlayStation's exclusives (Bloodborne/Demon's Souls).

Sony's new approach seems sooo much like Microsoft's Xbox One in 2013. It is also an interesting "coincidence" that back then MS had Call of Duty and FIFA marketing deals, which is in Sony's hands right now.

I own every RE game and I wanted to own RE Village in my account as well. So I do not care if it was going to be XGP Day One or not. But it is so pathetic of Sony to do sth like this. I mean, they did not even add this game to PS Now, they just did not want it to go to Game Pass. Sony has always kept the industry back and this is just a new example. Even though I had a PS4 last gen, with things like this, I never want to get a PS5 and be part of their ecosystem!

Last time MS confirmed sth official was that Xbox indie showcase which was exactly what they promised. These so-called "vague promises" are made by insiders (some normal people with good connections, in case a PS Fanboy does not know what an insider is)
