Microsoft has officially announced all four Xbox Games With Gold titles for May 2021! These games are available to download for free for Xbox Live Gold members (including subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate).
Here's the complete list of titles you can look forward to in May:
Xbox Series X / Xbox One
Armello (May 1 - 31):
Armello is a grim fairy-tale board game come to life. Full of swashbuckling adventure combining deep, tactical card play, rich tabletop strategy and RPG elements. Wage epic single and multiplayer battles, cast spells, hire agents, and prepare poisons and ruses on your quest for the throne!
Dungeons 3 (May 16 - June 15)
Through enticing the dark elf priestess Thalya from the fluffy clutches of the surface world to become his chief lieutenant, the Dungeon Lord has found a way to direct his campaign of conquest from the confines of his underground lair. With Thalya on the front line, and the united forces of evil to support her, players will have to use every trick in the book to best those do-gooders of the overworld, once and for all!
Xbox 360 / Original Xbox
LEGO Batman: The Videogame (May 1 - 15):
In LEGO® Batman™ : The Videogame, play as Batman and his sidekick Robin as you build, drive, swing and fight your way through Gotham City. Then, jump into the story from the other side and play as Batman’s foes! There is no rest for the good (or the evil)!
Tropico 4 (May 16 - 31):
The world is changing and Tropico is moving with the times – geographical powers rise and fall and the world market is dominated by new players with new demands and offers - and you, as El Presidente, face a whole new set of challenges.

Well i said i wanted Witcher 3 or any Lego game so i got a LEGO game. As usual claiming all and hopefully will play something
I'll probably play the two X1 titles.
I mean Dungeons is no "War for the Overworld" but its probably the closest to Dungeon Keeper we're gonna get (on Xbox)
I don’t own any of these and, with all big games we’ve been given in GamePass lately, I’m happy with these.

Both Armello and Dungeons III have 9/10 positive on Steam! I don’t get people who think that smaller less well known games are a bad thing.
I actually prefer games that aren’t big names because it’s less likely I’ll own them.
I think it’s a decent month, especially when compared to the last few.
Armello is a fantastic game.
I’m happy with Dungeons 3. Finally something worth downloading for me.

These seem like some really great titles, even if I haven't heard of most of them. I'll definitely give all of them a try.
@The_New_Butler completely agree, inbetween the regular updates about gamepass/fps boost additions. The monthly GWG just tire me out even if they're a 'bonus' to my gamepass. Not that all of the games are bad, just a shame most of em aren't for me.
My sons will love Lego Batman. Otherwise, nothing else will be getting any play in this household. It could be worse.
Dungeons 3 and Tropic 4? Hype as hell for May's games.
Armello is a ton of fun. Seems like a great month for games with gold. 4 free games and people want to scrap it? If they could roll it into to game pass that would be ideal. For anyone that needs these games I hope they get played.

Armello alone is worth having Games with Gold this month. This game is terrific and it stinks there isn't a larger fan base on Xbox. Now that it's free, here's hoping we get some new adventurers in the mix!
Remember, kids, you could have been paying twice as much for this stuff! Taste the quality!

After reading the comments, I'm pretty intrigued by all of these. Great month! as many have said, Lego games with children are huge fun (even if it means going back to the split screen where you can't stray far apart.)
I swear they gave away Lego Batman before, or am I thinking of the sequel or the other Lego titles?
I've had Lego Batman on my wishlist for over a year, and it has never been on sale in that time, so for me this is actually pretty decent - even if the other games are less than exciting.
Since GwG is "free" as part of my GPU subscription, even when I don't care at all about the offerings for the month, I just think of it as a bonus anyway. TBH I would definitely still subscribe to GPU even if they completely got rid of GwG, so in my eyes it's cool if there's even one game offered per year that I might actually play.
Two decent XB1 games and my most wanted GWG 360 game, Lego Batman! Very very pleased.
Tropico isn't really my cup of tea, but it's a well liked franchise, best month in a while.
@ALK Not sure about the other LEGO Batman Games, but LEGO Indiana Jones was part of GwG recently.
Wow. Those are...all terrible choices.
Not a good bunch of games here. Last months games were much better.
